We had taken our dog to the emergency vet twice on a Friday (once at 1am and the other at 9pm) where we received two different diagnoses. Our dog was still in a lot of pain so first thing Monday I started to look for a local veterinarian. After checking Yelp, Google Reviews, and Facebook reviews I decided to call Town & Country to see if they could fit in a new patient. They saw her that afternoon and after an exam and x-ray we had an accurate diagnosis, new meds and a treatment plan. Despite the new meds, she was still having once to twice daily episodes of extreme pain (triggered by her getting excited by someone visiting or stressed because I needed to run an errand) so I called the afterhours number and the answering service said a vet would call back within 15 minutes. She called us back within minutes and I was able to give her meds early. She suggested I call back in the AM if she was still having this much pain. My dog rested peacefully that night but by the next afternoon she had another bad episode so I called and they gave me another med for breakthrough pain. Sadly, it didn't touch the pain so we were back in the next AM. The vet had us switch course and try a different plan and it worked! It's been three days and she is finally pain free. I couldn't be happier with Dr. Laurel Johnson and all the other staff members we encountered. Everyone at the front desk is super friendly and helpful. As were all the vet techs. I LOVE that they have an afterhours vet (until 9pm) which saved us another trip to the emergency vet. The answering service was so kind and helpful too. We were never charged for all those extra office visits, just the meds. The office itself is clean and welcoming. The exam rooms were comfortable and I loved the TVs with pet care information. I saw that they use natural cleaning products (Method) and had organic pet treats which is great! Their prices were very reasonable and on par with our previous vets. I'm SO glad I choose Town & Country and I highly recommend them!

This vet clinic has the most compassionate doctors and staff than any I've been in. I operate a nonprofit rescue and this clinic has been there for me during several emergencies. Wait time for office visits for vaccines or surgeries isn't long at all. I highly recommend Town and Country Vet to anyone searching for a friendly, knowledgeable, compassionate, perfect vet clinic.

I would give negative stars for Town & Country Animal Hospital if I could. We brought our sick cat to them and after charging us over $1200, he was just as sick. They told us he had diabetes and I called everyday only to hear that they needed him to stay another couple of days. After questioning why they kept extending his stay, the vet told us she would keep him the extra days without charging extra. Sounds nice but as I said, they had already charged us a fortune. When we picked him up, the diagnosis had changed from diabetes to pancreatitis. I understand that it is often difficult to diagnose animals but I had been calling everyday for the entire week and this was the first time they had mentioned anything other than diabetes plus I assume the vet went to school to learn how to diagnose and treat sick animals.
After we finally took him home (and paid his ransom!) he continued to deteriorate. My husband did some internet research and we tested his blood sugar ourselves, it was extremely high- 543. We are giving him insulin ourselves and will be taking him to another vet.
If you love your pet and are not very wealthy, I do not recommend going here. I have since talked with two other pet owners who had similar experiences at Town & Country.

When my little Chihuahua was attack by big dog that came in my year last month I took him to Town & Country my dog was in so much pain the staff took him straight back to see doctor my dog had to stay there for a while the they took every good care of him and let me set up payments to pay this bill I can't thank them enough for everything they did for him.

When my dog lost his hair in 2008 we didn't know why. It took some time by the docs diagnosed him with allergies. Once on the right meds and refraining from his allergens his hair grew back. He managed to live til about age 17. They also see my existing dog Zoey regularly and do awesome at removing his rumors and caring for him when I'm on vacation. I don't even live in Jefferson County but I drive there for the good quality care of my fur babies.

My corgi Dexter has been well-cared for by Dr. Johnson since he was a pup. The staff is cordial and helpful at both the New Market and Dandridge locations. Dr. Johnson has always explained Dex's health problems well, so that I am able to provide better care at home. The diagnoses and prescriptions have always been accurate and Dexter is restored to good health quickly. A hearty thank you to Dr. Johnson and her staff; they have my confidence.

I love the Johnson's. They really care about the animals, no matter what you have as a pet. I accidentally ran over my pet chicken Lulu. They met me at the office after hours and took great care of her. She had a broken leg and broken wing. They bandaged her up and watched her for several days. Lulu even made a friend while she was there (Geraldine the goose). I had to bring her back weekly to be rechecked. She healed very quickly. They have also taken care of my poodle (Spanky) also. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my babies. Thank you all for the exceptional care and love y'all have gave to Lulu and Spanky. God has truly blessed y'all with the gift of taking care of his creatures.

I now have to dogs and one is nervousness don't like to be caged. I had to bring my dog Chopper in for an emergency. I had not been here before. I moved to this area a few months ago and had not found a vet yet. I called another 2 vets in the area and they couldn't get him in til the next day. Town and Country worked me into the schedule and saw my dog right away when I brought him in. He was vomiting and not eating for 2 days and it turned out he had pancreatitis from getting into the trash and eating it. He was really dehydrated and I was worried he wouldn't make it. He had to stay in the hospital and get an IV and medications. He recovered really well and I was so relieved. The doctors and staff were very nice, they didn't mind that I called several times a day to check on him. They took great care of him and Chopper really likes them. I highly recommend their office.

I love all the people at Town & Country Dr. Johnson is the best. I have never been over charged. You can't put a price on the great care you receive there. She gives my cat her shot once a month. She has taken care of her over a year. The Vet I took her to before never helped her. Now she's back to her playful happy little self. I wouldn't take her anywhere else.

I have been with Town & Country for 15 years. I wouldn't go anywhere else. They care so much about our babies and us. I had to make a tough decision just a few months ago and they were so kind and compassionate. I saw some comments about cost....they have excellent care, up to date equipment...you can't put a price on such a wonderful group of professionals....I highly recommend Dr. Johnson and the staff at Town & Country Animal Hospital!

We had taken our dog to the emergency vet twice on a Friday (once at 1am and the other at 9pm) where we received two different diagnoses. Our dog was still in a lot of pain so first thing Monday I started to look for a local veterinarian. When my dog lost his hair in 2008 we didn't know why. It took some time by the docs diagnosed him with allergies. Once on the right meds and refraining from his allergens his hair grew back. He managed to live til about age 17. They also see my existing dog Zoey regularly and do awesome at removing his rumors and caring for him when I'm on vacation. I don't even live in Jefferson County but I drive there for the good quality care of my fur babies.

Dr. Johnson has always explained Dex's health problems well, so that I am able to provide better care at home. I love the Johnson's. They really care about the animals, no matter what you have as a pet. I accidentally ran over my pet chicken Lulu.
