Worst customer service experience ever. Brought both dogs in for day boarding and baths and the staff ended up giving full exams and shots that weren’t due yet. When they were questioned about it the doctors got defensive and said they told us about the shots. When I asked for proof they couldn’t provide it and said they could send the records to another vet. What should have been a $100 visit ended up being $240 with no estimate of charges and acted like we were idiots for even questioning it. Staff is unorganized, forgets to give baths when you drop off the dogs and overall horrible experience and I would not recommend anyone going there

Do not recommend Sequoyah animal hospital. I brought my pug in very concerned with abnormal bleeding from her mouth and left ear. Her platelet count was very low, but Dr. Cox assured me that the bleeding was related to gingivitis of her gums and gave her antibiotics. I called that night and reported to Dr. Cox that the bleeding was significant, and she told me to bring her in the next day. They kept her the entire next day and she cauterized a section of her gums and did not repeat any bloodwork. The next day I called and reported that my pug was very lethargic and still bleeding. I brought her in again and insisted they repeat the bloodwork, which revealed that her hemoglobin and platelets had dropped to a critical low level. Dr. Cox told me that I needed to take her to an animal hospital because they could not do anything to help her. I was informed by the vet at the animal hospital that Gizmo had thrombocytopenia (low platelets) which would have been treatable by my vet if caught early. I had to have her euthanized that day because Dr Cox refused to listen to me about her abnormal bleeding despite bloodwork clearly showing low platelets. My husband and I are totally heartbroken over the loss of Gizmo.

I'm not one to typically write reviews. Lemme tell ya about these people at Sequoyah. I just moved to Tn and I brought my dog (best friend forever) there with chemical burns on his back. (I'll not get into how he ended up with chemical burns. Not something I did.) Anywho, these folks as Sequoyah took him back for around 45 min. My not being allowed back seemed like hours. In any event what times I could hear or see my pet all made me feel reassured. They were treating him and talking to him like I do. As uneasy as we was visiting this place for the first time added to the stress and discomfort he was already having I was extremely surprised to see him not upset and just acting as if it were me doing all those things to him. The doctor was great. Very helpful, informative, caring, and just all around a real animal lover. It showed. The ladies that worked on staff could not be replaced by anything less than angels. The quality of care he received sold me instantly from the first greet til I walked out the door. I was astonished to how reasonable the prices were. I was honestly worried about the bill. Impressive. Not exactly sure how they managed to give that quality of care on such a small dime but whatever they are doing I pray the are able to keep doing as long as me and my fur babies are around. My belief is if you go anywhere else you're wasting your time, money, and depriving your pet of a better quality of care and life. These people are in it for the critters.

I could not go anywhere else. this clinic was well recommended by my neighbor and i never though it was true since I was never able to find the cure one for one of my sick dog. I honestly can say you are the best veterinary clinic and will always use it. Do not go anywhere else until you visit Sequoyah Animal Hospital. We have recently moved to this area and are so pleased that we found Sequoyah Animal Hospital. We first visited with our 14 year old Shihtzu and they were so good with him .... not an easy task since he is blind and gets very anxious! We have also used the Muddy Buddies Dog Grooming and they are so kind and careful with him. About 3 months ago, we got a new puppy, a silver Lab and Sequoyah has been our go-to for all the new puppy needs! The entire staff is so courteous and helpful. We have also boarded our Lab and were very satisfied with the care given there. We would highly recommend Sequoyah to anyone who is looking for veterinary care!

When I informed them that I go to work early and would not be able to pick her up until after work, there was no additional charge. Daisy is feeling much better now! Our first experience with Sequoyah Animal Hospital (SAH) was to obtain a second opinion for treatment of our cat€s eye, whose cornea was severely scratched. Another veterinary practice had recommended removing the eye, deciding that the eye was beyond restorative treatment. However, Dr. Jessica Kleiner at SAH attended a course of treatment, over several weeks, that proved so effective that the eye was not only saved, but almost restored to normal.
In Dr. Kleiner we found a highly competent, innovative and compassionate veterinarian who has earned our respect and confidence. We found the SAH administrative staff, medical technicians and overall practice to be thoroughly professional and responsive. Also, we appreciated efforts made to keep costs affordable.

I can't say enough about Dr Nix and his staff! Awesome care and extremely knowledgeable!!! We took our Dogue de Bordeaux first to their training facility Sequoyah K9 the trainer Rachael Simpkins took Karl from being aggressive towards people to being a gentle giant. We then used their boarding facility for a weekend and Karl wasn't even stressed and we knew he was babied by the staff just like he was at home. He had his own large room with a door, window and A/C! Talk about the lap of luxury!! I will continue to make the drive to this total package facility even though we live in another county!! THANKS TO ALL THE STAFF AT THIS TOP NOTCH FACILITY!!

Sequoyah Animal Hospital is wonderful. They have an extremely knowledgable, caring and compassionate staff. Dr. Thompson is always thorough in answering any questions I might have about my dogs. I couldn't be happier with the treatment all 3 have gotten there, from my young, challenging German Shepherd to my soon to be 14 year old Border Collie. I brought in 4 baby opossums (eyes still closed) that I had found crawling out from their mother who was ran over and dead. It was really annoying to me that people who work with animals daily could be so afraid of hairless tiny creatures. They cringed and jumped back when I showed them. Very strange. They told me several times that they carry diseases, wich I'm aware of, and that I should probly dump them somewhere. They did give me a number to call to get info on what I should do. The number was a pest control business that was no help at all. After dropping the opossums off at the Chattanooga wildlife rehab, I was told that opossum are not dirty animals. The only animals high risk of disease are skunk, racoon,fox and bats. And that "dumping"off tiny animals like this is cruel. You would think an animal hospital would have some empathy and just a bit of knowledge

When I asked for proof they couldn’t provide it and said they could send the records to another vet. What should have been a $100 visit ended up being $240 with no estimate of charges and acted like we were idiots for even questioning it. Staff is unorganized, forgets to give baths when you drop off the dogs and overall horrible experience and I would not recommend anyone going there

Do not recommend Sequoyah animal hospital. I brought my pug in very concerned with abnormal bleeding from her mouth and left ear. Her platelet count was very low, but Dr. Cox assured me that the bleeding was related to gingivitis of her gums and gave her antibiotics. I called that night and reported to Dr. Cox that the bleeding was significant, and she told me to bring her in the next day. They kept her the entire next day and she cauterized a section of her gums and did not repeat any bloodwork. The next day I called and reported that my pug was very lethargic and still bleeding. I brought her in again and insisted they repeat the bloodwork, which revealed that her hemoglobin and platelets had dropped to a critical low level. Dr. Cox told me that I needed to take her to an animal hospital because they could not do anything to help her. I was informed by the vet at the animal hospital that Gizmo had thrombocytopenia (low platelets) which would have been treatable by my vet if caught early. I had to have her euthanized that day because Dr Cox refused to listen to me about her abnormal bleeding despite bloodwork clearly showing low platelets. My husband and I are totally heartbroken over the loss of Gizmo.

I'm not one to typically write reviews. Lemme tell ya about these people at Sequoyah. I just moved to Tn and I brought my dog (best friend forever) there with chemical burns on his back. (I'll not get into how he ended up with chemical burns. Not something I did.) Anywho, these folks as Sequoyah took him back for around 45 min. My not being allowed back seemed like hours. In any event what times I could hear or see my pet all made me feel reassured. They were treating him and talking to him like I do. As uneasy as we was visiting this place for the first time added to the stress and discomfort he was already having I was extremely surprised to see him not upset and just acting as if it were me doing all those things to him. The doctor was great. Very helpful, informative, caring, and just all around a real animal lover. It showed. The ladies that worked on staff could not be replaced by anything less than angels. The quality of care he received sold me instantly from the first greet til I walked out the door. I was astonished to how reasonable the prices were. I was honestly worried about the bill. Impressive. Not exactly sure how they managed to give that quality of care on such a small dime but whatever they are doing I pray the are able to keep doing as long as me and my fur babies are around. My belief is if you go anywhere else you're wasting your time, money, and depriving your pet of a better quality of care and life. These people are in it for the critters.

I could not go anywhere else. this clinic was well recommended by my neighbor and i never though it was true since I was never able to find the cure one for one of my sick dog. I honestly can say you are the best veterinary clinic and will always use it. Do not go anywhere else until you visit Sequoyah Animal Hospital. We first visited with our 14 year old Shihtzu and they were so good with him .... not an easy task since he is blind and gets very anxious! We have also used the Muddy Buddies Dog Grooming and they are so kind and careful with him. About 3 months ago, we got a new puppy, a silver Lab and Sequoyah has been our go-to for all the new puppy needs! The entire staff is so courteous and helpful. We have also boarded our Lab and were very satisfied with the care given there. We would highly recommend Sequoyah to anyone who is looking for veterinary care!

When I informed them that I go to work early and would not be able to pick her up until after work, there was no additional charge. Daisy is feeling much better now! Our first experience with Sequoyah Animal Hospital (SAH) was to obtain a second opinion for treatment of our cat€s eye, whose cornea was severely scratched. Another veterinary practice had recommended removing the eye, deciding that the eye was beyond restorative treatment. However, Dr. Jessica Kleiner at SAH attended a course of treatment, over several weeks, that proved so effective that the eye was not only saved, but almost restored to normal.
In Dr. Kleiner we found a highly competent, innovative and compassionate veterinarian who has earned our respect and confidence. We found the SAH administrative staff, medical technicians and overall practice to be thoroughly professional and responsive. Also, we appreciated efforts made to keep costs affordable.

I can't say enough about Dr Nix and his staff! Awesome care and extremely knowledgeable!!! We took our Dogue de Bordeaux first to their training facility Sequoyah K9 the trainer Rachael Simpkins took Karl from being aggressive towards people to being a gentle giant. We then used their boarding facility for a weekend and Karl wasn't even stressed and we knew he was babied by the staff just like he was at home. He had his own large room with a door, window and A/C! Talk about the lap of luxury!! I will continue to make the drive to this total package facility even though we live in another county!! THANKS TO ALL THE STAFF AT THIS TOP NOTCH FACILITY!!

I couldn't be happier with the treatment all 3 have gotten there, from my young, challenging German Shepherd to my soon to be 14 year old Border Collie. I brought in 4 baby opossums (eyes still closed) that I had found crawling out from their mother who was ran over and dead. It was really annoying to me that people who work with animals daily could be so afraid of hairless tiny creatures. They cringed and jumped back when I showed them. Very strange. They told me several times that they carry diseases, wich I'm aware of, and that I should probly dump them somewhere. They did give me a number to call to get info on what I should do. The number was a pest control business that was no help at all. After dropping the opossums off at the Chattanooga wildlife rehab, I was told that opossum are not dirty animals. The only animals high risk of disease are skunk, racoon,fox and bats. And that "dumping"off tiny animals like this is cruel. You would think an animal hospital would have some empathy and just a bit of knowledge
