After using a vetinarian convenient to our home we found that our 10 year old dogs health issue was getting worse not better. On that first visit we explained how we learned that Andies skin problem could be a food allergy . The vet stated " that could be the case, let' s change her diet and see how that works ", and charged us $231.00 for the advice. As Andies skin condition worsened during the month we decided to try Spring Hill Vet clinic. The vetinarian, Dr Kim Pornoy , conducted a thorough examination to include blood work and a skin scrape before prescribing medication for Andie . Dr Pornoy's effort inspired our confidence in her as she explained that we should see improvement in Andies skin problem ; referring to her constant scratching and biting clumps of hair from her body in a manic attempt to rid herself of the irritating itchy malady that wouldn't even let her sleep for any length of time. Dr Pornoy's was dead on in her diagnosis as we waited and watched . About 4 hours lot so later just as Dr Pornoy's predicted Andies entire demeanor changed; she became that calm , happy pet we have enjoyed loving.Gone was the manic scratching and biting at herself.Andie continues to show improvement as her hair is growing back in those unsightly bald spots caused by her bites. We plan to utilize the services of Dr Kim Pornoy's and her wonderful staff at Spring Hill Vet. Clinic from now on. Awesome vet. She is very good with my pets. Clean facility. Reasonably priced. Very nice assistant. The receptionist (the older lady there) not so much. Very unfriendly. Not very welcoming or helpful at all. Doesn't say thank you. A few times I have felt like walking out because of her. Read Less

We've been taking our little dog to Dr. Poynor at Spring Hill Vet for many years now. We've been very happy with her and her staff. Kind, caring, compassionate. Dr. Poynor takes her time and never makes us feel as if she's in a hurry or doesn't have time to listen to us. We're always able to get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time too. I will never use this vet again. I picked up my very sick dog this morning from there to take him to another vet. He was covered in vomit and diarrhea. I payed them $500 and they basically watched him wither away for two days. Thank God my dog is at a good clinic now and receiving the very best care, but it still may be too late for him. So, as a pet owner we have always treated our pets like family. In the 9yrs we have been in spring hill, this is the only Vet we have used and the only vet we will use. All people have bad days, just like our pets but as far as finding a caring staff that will look after your animal, this is the only play we use. We recently had to put down or last dog (14yrs old) and the staff was very helpful with the process and made it as easy as possible. We just rescued a 3month old puppy and will be using them again. What an amazing experience! The doc was amazing and thorough. My dog had a fungal infection and this was not an easy diagnosis being that my dog was young and healthy. She took her time with us. Researched different pharmacies to find onus the best option for the meds he will take for a few months. I could to be happier. Would recommend to all in the area. Read Less

I'm not sure why but both times I've taken my (first time owning) puppy to this vet office it seems like an inconvenience to them... I'm not happy about the service. Both times I've asked about flee/tick prevention and spaying her and I either just get a price quote for I don't know what (it's all new to me)or just a short answer... like I should already know? Not very helpful at all. They have never offered good info into first time ownership or what I should do for future visits and anything I do get from them it seems like I need to ask just the right question. Read Less

Thus far I have had no problems with them and thier service. They are very friendly and have 2 Vets on staff as well as many Vet techs. They also participate with the Columbia State Training program for Vet techs in school. They do not board or groom though which is a con. Read Less

I agree w/the previous review that the receptionist is rude. However, the veterinarian and her assistants are very caring and knowlegeable. Their prices are more reasonable than at our previous vet in Franklin. I can tolerate a rude receptionist if the doctor and staff know their job and love animals to boot. Read Less

Vet charged an emergency vet visit during normal office hours because we didn't have a scheduled appointment. We had been to the vet two other times and thought that it was unfair to charge higher vet visit fees because our dog got sick that day and needed medication.
