I took my 2 dogs here for the 1st time about a year ago. I initially went for my Australian shepherd who was having some sensitivity skin issues. The facility was extremely clean and I was greeted immediately upon arrival and treated with care the entire visit. The doctor explained the skin issues with my dog to me in a way that I could understand and recommended a shot for him to help and within only a few hours he was tremendously better. I was just happy that I could finally understand what was actually going on with him. Then today, I returned to buy the Brevecto dose for both of my dogs for flea and tick protection. Erin was my receptionist and she was extremely polite and timely. She also made sure to explain the rebate that I was eligible for with my purchase and all around I am just extremely satisfied with this place of business. Absolutely love Dr. Dan and the entire staff. They care for each animal as if they are their own pet. They don’t talk down to you and they don’t suggest treatment unless your pet actually needs it. They also show lots of compassion when it’s time for your pet to cross the rainbow bridge. Read Less

We took a stray feral cat there for a full evaluation. The staff was kind and attentive. The exam was done quickly and time was taken to explain everything they did along with future recommendations. Soon right after we had to go out of town and leave the kitten in their care. Again the care and attention given were excellent and obvious by its behavior when we came to pick him up. All in all thus far we have been thoroughly impressed with the professionalism and kindness demonstrated by everyone we encountered on staff and Dr Hitch. I am new to the area and brought my senior cat in because she wasn’t eating. Well after just looking in her mouth they said she needed a dental. I knew she needed one and was happy to do it but i felt like none of her other symptoms added up to that. I wanted to fix the problem and do the dental when she was eating and putting on weight. Another appointment later she was diagnosed by dr Raines. He is the only positive about this place. He took time and listened to me. I took my cat back to grassmere animal hospital in Nashville even though it’s a drive. They do follow up calls and check in to see how your pet is. They are really gentle during the exam and don’t just whip your cat in and out of the carrier. The vet even called me to talk to me for 15 minutes! My experience has been so much better with them. Also, this place is WAY overpriced. The oravet dog treats are $30 for a 15 count and at grassmere are $15 for a 30 count. One single dose of flea treatment for a small dog is $28!!!! I was told that whoever owns the practice sets the prices. It’s like they know they are the only show in town and charge whatever they want. It’s shameful. Read Less

Used for 4 years and had no issues but last two times my dog had medical issues...the Dr seemed to be disconnected and did t want to hear my concerns. Didn't even touch my dog but prescribed meds and the visit was $130. I took him this Saturday with a serious issue and sat for over an hour while people came and went. Vet office was empty and all I hear is men in the back laughing and having a good ole Time for like half an hour. I left and then called with my concerns. The desk did the seem very concerned about loosing me and my dog as clients and no Dr called me back. That's what you get for pricey vets. All about that $$. Read Less

We had a last minute weekend out of town and no one to keep our little Jack Russel. Robertson County Animal Clinic said it was no problem to keep him over the weekend, and assured us he was well taken care of. While he was there, he got a bath, nail trim, and his shots that were coming up. It was so convenient and easy, and everyone there is always so nice and caring. When you walk into the clinic you are immediately greeted by a friendly staff member who knows both you and your pet by name. All of the veterinarians are highly trained, friendly and compassionate. They never rush you out the door but rather they take time to listen to your questions and concerns. The entire staff is awesome and I recommend them to anyone with a pet!! Read Less

We have been using Robertson County Animal Clinic in Springfield to take care of our pets for approximately 20 years, and I have never had a negative experience. They provide excellent care when one of our pets has an initial problem, and they follow up, often without any charge for follow-up checks. Pet care is expensive, but I have never felt like I was overcharged. Everyone from the front desk people to the groomers to the veterinary technicians to the veterinarians are friendly and helpful. You can set up appointments via their website and they will send you both email and text message reminders that you can opt out of it that pleases you. Also, if you have pit bulls they they super accommodating and loving towards them. The secretary was great, came right over and just loved on my pouting dog who just wanted to lick everyone in sight. Great place to take your pet. Thank you all for helping my sweet Benny out the other day! Ya'll found out what was wrong within a very short time as opposed to the place we got him from who had him for a full week!
