Brought my dog Bubba for the first time yesterday and I have got to say, the vet and staff are truly passionate and actually care. My dog lost all his fur at 3 months old, thought This was due to a flea collar reaction. Brought him to notchey creek and they did a scraping but found nothing wrong and said that this is normal. 7 months later and he still has no fur and they didn't want to do anything else. The vet at MCAH was immediately concerned, he asked if he could run tests since he had to stay overnight (he got neutered, rabies shots and microchiped). I told him absolutely, he said he would try to figure this out, and I could hear it in his voice that he was concerned and meant it. Not only is it my Bubba, but also his brother and sister who have the same problem. I really appreciate someone finally trying to figure this out instead of telling me it's normal. I've done enough research to know it's not, and my poor baby had to go all winter with no fur. Sorry this was long, but I will be making the extra drive to bring him here from now on. I just recently brought my dog Sadie in when she got attacked by another dog I can't even describe how the staff made me feel while talking to them it was a big relief knowing their care and concern for Sadie was truly genuine. Although the reason for my visit was heartbreaking, everyone was very kind and considerate from the time I walked in til I was leaving very upset & crying. A staff member walked me to my car and helped me get my fur baby settled before making sure I was ok to drive. I took my cat here for 18 years. When she recently passed away, they were absolutely wonderful! The staff was sweet and caring the many times we were in there! My Uncle Richard is the best!!! He's always taken great care of our animals (esp. when Daddy passed away suddenly!!!) He's really stepped up to the plate!!! Monroe County Animal Clinic and Dr. Richard Buchanan is the only place I take my pets. He is a very knowledgeable Vet. They do not gouge you on price. The facility is truly an animal hospital.
