Quiet office, great for scared kitties. Very knowledgeable. Worth the drive for anyone within a few hours of Allen. Taking your cat to a cat-only vet will allow your cat to relax and receive proper treatment. Most vets in this area see cats as an after-thought as their primary business is treating dogs. Anyone who has a cat knows they are very different than a dog. When you go to a practice that cares for cats exclusively, they have a specialized knowledge of cats and their owners that you just won't get anywhere else. Read Less

I simply cannot say enough good things about this office and its exemplary staff.  Not only are they professional and thorough, they have a level of dedication, empathy and compassion I've never seen, before.  Since Dr. Crigger (Dr. Dana) treats only cats, there are no barking dogs to contend with, making the process much less stressful. My first time seeing Dr. Dana, my 11 year old Darla was very sick.  She rapidly declined over the course of a week and I made that "oh so tough" decision that we pet owners sometimes are forced to make.  Dr. Dana and her staff facilitated a smooth and peaceful transition to the rainbow bridge for my Darla.  My two survivors, Dolce (13) and Melvin (12) now have a new vet.  Thank you. Elijah became very sick on Sunday. We were at Cat Hospital of Collin County at 8AM Monday morning with a true emergency. They complained that they would have to "work him in" around all of their regular appointments. Sorry, but the waiting room was empty and no one came in while we were there. I don't see a busy practice here. Then they refused to allow my wife to stay claiming it made their empty waiting room too crowded. The vet said it was like having my wife "waiting in her living room". Really??? Instead they insisted that we go shopping or go get breakfast. Can you imagine going shopping when a member of your family is in critical condition? After two hours we got a call that he had an obstruction and needed immediate surgery (which, thankfully, they don't perform). So we rushed him to Campbell Park Animal Hospital, which they recommended, only to find out Elijah didn't have a blockage at all. I looked at the x-rays with the vet who treated him and neither one of us could see any blockage. We were very fortunate that the other vet didn't buy the obstruction diagnosis and just cut Elijah open then and there. Instead he convinced us to run blood work where he found that Elijah's was suffering from renal failure. Cat Hospital of Collin County charged us $350 for 2 x-rays, some pain meds and a wrong diagnosis. And we were charged extra for not having an appointment for our emergency. I would highly recommend Campbell Park Animal Hospital instead. Read Less

What a great hospital just for kitties! I took my kitty here years ago and had a wonderful experience, they let me stay with him the entire time which is great since I am a overprotective pet parent. I do believe the lack of dogs barking, the quiet atmosphere and clean smell helped with my kitty's anxiety (as well as myn too!). I recently took my cat to a vet right next to my house since it was so much closer and let me tell you it didn't nearly begin to measure up next to the cat hospital. It had dogs barking, smelled like a "vet" and they would not let me go back with him to get X-rays which really bothered me. Maybe I am spoiled now, but the Cat Hospital assured me I never had to leave his side -they actually encouraged the owner to stay with their cat no matter what since it helps kitties stress. I will not stray again. Read Less

Read Less

This is a wonderful cat-friendly staff and veterinarian! The doctor and staff were so kind and considerate to my 16 year old feline, Simon, whose time I knew was limited, and to me. They were so gracious and compassionate to us both during this difficult time. It has taken me a long time to find such a veterinarian! I highly recommend Dr. Dana and her staff to any cat lover! Dr. Crigger was very gentle and understanding which calmed us both down! Read Less
