What an amazing place. My sweet Bella fell ill with pyometra and we were at risk of losing her. We took her to an emergency hospital at 3am on Thursday and were told that we needed to seek emergency surgery as soon as possible on Friday morning. We desperately went to Swann Animal Clinic to see if there was any possibility. Dr. Beau Schilling quickly moved his schedule around in order to operate on my baby and save her life. To add this being a Friday surgery does not usually take place here unless an emergency and my Bella had never been a patient at either location. They just truly cared about her and about saving her life. We are so grateful and appreciative of Dr. Schilling and the entire staff who treated my Bella as if she was their own. Read Less

I took my dog Toby in this morning to see Dr. Dodson and had a great experience! All of the staff was friendly and efficient. My dog is a rescue and very, very skittish, but they were all patient and great with him. When given his diagnosis, rather than being told we had to buy extremely expensive products that only their clinic provided, Dr. Dodson and the vetrinary technician told us about affordable over the counter solutions that fit in our budget. 2 years ago, I had a 14 year old dog that was a member of our family who was old and suffering and we made the decision to put her down. Dr. Beau Schilling was so gracious and sweet through the process and let me be with my sweet girl until the end. Now we have a new member of the family and Swann also takes great care of her! We were traveling through Amarillo on our way back home and discovered our dog Maria had a long gash on her leg. It was 4:30 in the afternoon and we looked up Vet’s on Google to see who might still be open. We called Swann Animal Clinic and they very quickly told us to come by at 5:00 pm., that they would fit us in. We arrived exactly at 5:00 and only waited a couple of minutes before being shown into a room. The nurse came in almost immediately and looked at Maria’s leg. It was only another moment and the Vet came in, talked to us and diagnosed what to do. The staff is very knowledgeable and professional. I can't say enough good things about Swann Animal Clinic on 45th. The support staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. "Our" veterinarian, Dr. Beau Schilling, is outstanding. He's knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and never makes us feel he's in a hurry to move on to the next patient. Our elderly dog suffers from anxiety, and everyone at the clinic is so gentle and sympathetic with her. They're the same with our two cats. who also are nervous about new places. And finally, the clinic facility makes for a pleasant experience. It's bright & clean; and it's set up so that patients spend minimal time in the waiting area. What little wait time we've experienced has been in an exam room; and after our appointment is finished, we are directed out an exit hall that bypasses the entrance and waiting area. The building is very clean and smells wonderful so are the individual rooms. I had previously gone to another vet and they had no answers and kept turning me away. We have gone to Swann Animal Clinic since 2009. We have some very special babies that came to as rescues and they brought some very difficult things such as heart worms and distemper with them that required lots of attention and love and Dr. Solomon and Dr. Barber along with their awesome staff went way above and beyond what was necessary for not only our babies but us too. They continue to provide amazing care and encouragement and love our babies like we do. We will not go anywhere else. If we could give them 10 stars we would! Read Less

I liked them at first, but when I took my dog in for an eye problem, I was given a vial in a green bottle to use as eye drops. I got home and 2 ear ticks fell off the bottle! I took the ticks up there and they said they didnt know what happened and I would "get something in the mail". WHAT? Why can't you come out and talk to me NOW? No questions were answered and I have yet to get something in the mail. If I m going to be taking ticks (especially ear ticks which are HARD TO KILL) home with me and the management doesn't want to talk to me about this incident in person, then I'm not going back. You can take my money, you can look me in the eye when you treat my pet, yet when a problem arises, you cant even come out and talk to me?? Read Less

The Doctors at Swann all see to be great BUT they overcharge you for everything. Drugs are 30 to 45% over market rate. Today they charged me $89 for an office / full blood workup that wasn't an office visit and didn't require a full blood workup. They were supposed to do a simple blood draw for a follow up liver analysis. I've already paid for three full blood workups. This was a follow up requested by the vet just to follow her progress. On two occasions I have had to take my little Ollie dog in for treatment, once for an broken leg and once for just being ADR (ain't doing right). Dr. Bo and his wife have been extremely patient and informative. The entire staff has been very loving towards my little dog. Each time Ollie has received the perfect amount of care and there is never any trying to up sell you like some vets offices do. Option are present and owner concerns are listened to.
