Our puppy got sick one evening so we took him to another vet. After 2 days and several bad experiences we pulled him out of there and took him to the small animal emergency clinic because it was Saturday evening. He started getting better but Monday morning the told us he still need continued care so we should take him to a vet. A friend of ours referred us to Dr. Barber at Swann. Less than 24hrs in their care and our puppy was almost ready to come home. He was eating and drinking and being taken care of like a king. My dogs paw was pierced by dry grass just like a piece of wood. Was extremely big and deep. Dr. Barber and the tech were super. I had to have my dog put to sleep after nearly ten years together. Dr.Barber was so awesome through the process and explained everything as we went. She was very respectful and considerate as we sat with our sweet girl. We received a postcard a few days later from the staff offering their condolences and a week later a small blanket with my dogs name on it. As soon as I read her name I started crying. It's something I'll treasure for the rest of my life. They went so above and beyond and I so greatly appreciate all of the care they gave until the very end and then beyond that. Read Less

My son and I have used Swann Animal Clinic on Hillside for over 2 years to take care of our feral kittens when we can catch them. We would not think of any other clinic for our kitties needs. I brought my pup here for a check-up and shots, we were there for about 10 min doing paper work, then testing for funkies, shots and talked to the vet about a few problems. She was awesome. They were surprised he refused the treats and cheeze, he's very picky.. love this place.. Read Less

I just moved here from Colorado, and trying to find a good vet is difficult. Today I brought my cats that I just got from the rescue to Swann.. They both have an upper respiratory infection and were really worrying me. Dr. Barber was amazing. I told her how my experience adopting the cats was horrible. She did not make me feel like I was one of many costumers. She talked with me at length about their illnesses and how to treat them. I was not just a number, which I experienced with another vet clinic the day before. That vet just sent me out the door with antibiotics after only seeing them for 10 min.
