I have taken my cats to that clinic for over eight years. I’ve always paid 100% of my bill at the time of visit. Recently I needed to take one of my girls in to be seen other than for a regular check up. I had asked if I could pay half of my bill when I came in and the other half two days later when I got paid. I was told by The staff and Dr. Johnson no. The one time something was going on with one of my girls and needed to be seen I could not take them in I told Dr. Johnson I’ve worked in the medical field for a long time I would never treat one of my long standing patients the way that she treated me. I will never take my cats back to the clinic, Nor will I ever recommend that clinic. Read Less

I absolutely loved this place for my black lab who is my best friend. I found out my girl had osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in her front paw, and they did so much to help her out and get her feeling better again. I really do owe so much to the great technicians and Dr. Johnson for being so caring and understanding. I ended up having to amputate my baby's arm and they really did their best to aid and assist me in my decision. My pup just came home today and I'm blessed to have her back and the team worked hard to make it as least expensive as they were able. Dr Wendi Johnson and her staff are top of the line. I have had 3 of my dogs in the clinic within the last 3 months, the Dr. was always right on with the diagnosis and never recommended any unnecessary services. 2 yrs ago I used the vet around my "corner" to save time from driving to Amarillo. The dog went in surgery for spay Thursday by Saturday it had an infection. The vet around the "corner" said take the dog to animal emergency clinic. The animal emergency clinic notified Dr Wendi Johnson because she is my vet. Monday morning Dr Wendi Johnson called to make sure my morkie was okay. A surprisingly good first visit!  We recently moved to Amarillo from Dallas and the hardest thing to do was find someone we could trust with our 3 dogs. The other day, my oldest pup started whimpering in pain for no apparent reason.  She seemed very stiff and wouldn't eat or go outside with the other dogs.  I started to get worried and asked a neighbor about what vet he takes his dogs to.  He recommended Dr. Yarbrough and gave us his number.  We called and 15 minutes later, we were signing in at the clinic.  There were a lot of other people there, but believe it or not, this place is fast!  This is probably the most efficient doctor I've ever seen at work.  We had 3 people ahead of us and they were in and out in no time!  We walked in with  no appointment and waited for about 15 minutes  before they called us in.  I told Dr. Yarbrough about her symptoms and he immediately took her temperature, determined she had a fever because of an infection, and gave her two shots and prescribed some medicine.  We were out of there in half an hour!  The exam is $45.  The shots and the medicine were a bit pricey and costed $100.   Still, it's been three days later and my dog has fully recovered.  She's back to her old self!  They don't charge for "re-checks" so if her symptoms develop again, we can bring her back in for FREE.  It was a great experience from the initial phone call to the moment we paid the bill.  My dog is healthy again and we're happier for it.
