I wish I could give it less than one star. This was a terrible experience in every way. Jody Kincaid deals in "alternative" medicines and treatments for pets - some people will find that a dubious prospect, others are perfectly fine with it. Regardless of your stance on this issue (I found the treatments completely bogus and worthless), the way the clinic operates is awful by any measure. The staff are rude, curt and unhelpful, and if you are able to actually make an appointment, Jody's waiting room is a kind of purgatory. When I visited they had a cat that roamed freely around the offices, as some sort of general mascot or comfort animal - this is a nice idea, but guess what? All it does is agitate the other animals in the room, leading to dogs scrambling around and barking, trying to get at it. The waiting room also had plenty of Jody's ugly political propaganda decorating the place - it doesn't matter if it's far left or far right, this is just obnoxious. If my dog is sick, I don't want to spend 45 minutes sitting in a dusty office staring at a "9/11 WAS AN INSIDE JOB" poster. This is a business (arguably), not the bumper on some idiot's car. Maybe they've cleaned up the place in recent years - i don't know, and since I'm never going back, I won't be finding out.All of these off-putting elements would be tolerable if Jody Kincaid was in fact the great vet he is made out to be, but he is not. Not remotely. His advice is shallow, his treatments cost a fortune and do basically nothing, and while I'm sure he's been through training, I would not rank him above competent in any aspect of veterinary treatment, and far below in most. His oddball manner combined with the difficulty of securing an appointment create the illusion that he is some in-demand miracle worker. Again, he's not. Rather than being the best vet on the Anthony/El Paso border, I would point out that he is the ONLY vet on the Anthony/El Paso border. You do have other options, however. If your pet needs a quick shot or a flea collar or something, then fine, hold your nose and book an appointment here. If you're looking for real help and compassion from actual professionals who don't treat this job like a stupid joke, then a half-hour drive in either direction (east or west) will lead you to other, better vets. I assure you, it is worth your time and trouble. Your pets deserve better than this garbage. Read Less

Our pound puppy, Loki, had distemper from the day we adopted him. After spending $2500 on the normal vets who did nothing other than over-prescribe 8 different seizure medications and suggest at every visit that we put him to sleep, we found Dr. Kincade through a Google search. Loki was not eating or drinking and we were syringe feeding him just to keep him alive. Everyone at the Anthony Animal Clinic was very friendly and as we waited in the waiting room for our visit with Loki in our arms, a client left and said "this man's a miracle worker!" Dr. Kincade first checked his energy levels and took a blood sample. After a short wait he came back and told us the distemper was gone and all that was left was brain damage and extremely low energy due to the seizure medications. He then told us to stop completely all the medications and gave us multiple supplements to help his brain and immune system. Before the end of the appointment he used acupuncture and light therapy in an attempt to start healing his brain. We were amazed throughout the entire process because he even took time to explain to us how distemper works and what the medication was actually doing. Within three days Loki was eating and drinking by himself and even showed interest in playing with a pinecone! We firmly believe if we had not taken Loki to see Dr. Kincade, our little boy would have died from our ignorance and that of the normal vets to which we are all so accustomed. The visit was also only about 7% the cost of what we had been paying before. He has earned our business for our three cats and two dogs for the rest of the time we live in El Paso and we will be sad to leave his care. Hopefully there are more like him wherever we move! One Thursday, I took my dog to the vet clinic on Ft. Bliss military post to have his rabies vaccine. At the clinic the tech gave him his shot except he jumped right before she got all the medicine in. Therefore she gave him an entirely new vaccine. Vaccines are hard on a little puppy's immune system but an almost double dose is horrible! My dog started to get a little sick the next day, but I thought he would be okay. By Saturday night he was much worse. I called the emergency vet and asked them what to do. They said to take him in the next morning to Northeast clinic. Sunday morning I took him in and had the vet examine him. She did a parvo test, a fecal test and an x-ray. The parvo and fecal tests came out negative and the x-ray showed congestion in his lungs. She gave me two different antibiotics and a product called biosponge. I took the dog home and followed the vets instructions. The next morning (Monday) the dog puked everywhere. He wouldn't eat or drink. He refused to do anything except lay down. He seemed more sick then before I even took him to the northeast clinic. I was very worried but when I called the vet all they said they could do for him would be to give him a shot for nausea. I waited out the day to see if the dog would puke anymore but he didn't. He managed to hold some water down. I decided to see how he was over night and in the morning. The next morning he puked more. I knew I HAD to take him to the vet but I didn't think taking him back to Northeast clinic would be a good idea. I searched the internet for another vet and discovered Anthony Animal Clinic. I really wanted to take my puppy there because they treat the cause of illnesses not just symptoms . I took him there and the doctor did a blood test to see what was wrong with him. He discovered that the dog had bronchitis and severe vitamin deficiencies. The doctor gave my puppy a natural remedy to soothe his stomach and acupuncture to calm him. He also sent me home with two vitamins, a mild antibiotic and advice on how to reintroduce him to water and food. I followed the instructions of the vet just as he gave them to me. Within one hour my dog was walking around and taking small sips of water. Within 6 hours he was drinking and even eating a little. But even more exciting the dog was jumping around, playing and chasing bugs. The next day my puppy seemed perfectly well. I am still giving him the vitamins and antibiotics but he is back to his old self! Anthony Animal clinic cared for my pet much better and they only charged me 1/3 the cost of Northeast clinic.I LOVE ANTHONY ANIMAL CLINIC!!! Read Less
