I had a great experience here. I didn't realize you had to have a prescription to get heartworm meds (I don't usually buy them but I was making a visit to Texas). I called to ask about them and rather than make me feel stupid for not knowing, they scheduled me for an appointment for the necessary exam.
The exam went very well. I was able to stay in the room while the doctor examined my dog and did the blood draw. The vet and her tech did an excellent job with my dog. The results came back quickly and I was able to buy the medicine I wanted from the clinic. The whole transaction was around $150. which is so much less expensive than it would have been at home. I thought their prices were very reasonable.
When I am in the area, this will be my vet.

I recently transferred over from the Corpus Christi "south side animal hospital " and they are 5x better. Do not let the small building fool you I believed taking my dog to corpus was better since they were a bigger facility but dr. Mccinnis cares for our fur babies and actually educates us about their health, unlike the clinic before who wouldn't answer my questions and would make me wait over half an hour on an appointment. They also do phone call follow ups after a 'sick visit' to check make sure they are doing fine. Definitely would recommend.

Hands down the best vet in South Texas. Dr. McInnis is one of the most thorough vets I have ever met and all of our pets feel comfortable while under her care. The entire staff is wonderful, Shelby at the front desk is always happy to help and answer any question you have! Prices are reasonable and I never leave feeling like we were over charged like some places do. We tell everyone we know to go here. If you live in Corpus it is well worth the drive! Our dog literally jumps for joy when he sees the staff here.

At Christmas time 2015 my dog Kelly got a very serious case of an inflamed pancreatitis so much so that I was afraid she was going to die. After calling all the Veterinarians in Rockport I then called Dr. Mcinnis and even tho it was Christmas Eve she told me to bring my dog in and she would take a look at her. When I arrived she informed me that my dog needed to stay overnight, I could not believe it when Christmas night Dr Mcinnis called me and told me I could come and get my dog as she had recovered enough to be able to come home. Being a winter Texan it was a year later when I walked into the clinic to get prescribed dog food and I could not believe it when Shelby the receptionist recognized me immediately and asked how was Kelly doing? I highly recommend this clinic.

Aransas Animal Clinic, saved our beloved 1yr old Chihuahua, whose heart stopped producing red blood cells. The day we brought her in she was on the brink of death, but Dr. McInnis promised she'd do everything she can to save our baby girl. She was hospitalized there for 6 days and the staff there did anything and everything to make sure she would live. We were kept informed the whole time and were allowed to visit our baby whenever we wanted too. Now when we go back for check ups, the staff love on our puppy and enjoy seeing her progress. The Aransas Animal Clinic has a wonderful staff, that treat and care for animals as if they were their own. We recently moved to Corpus Christi, but still take our chihuahua there, because we love the friendly staff and they treat our baby so well.

I had a great experience here. I didn't realize you had to have a prescription to get heartworm meds (I don't usually buy them but I was making a visit to Texas). I called to ask about them and rather than make me feel stupid for not knowing, they scheduled me for an appointment for the necessary exam.
The exam went very well. I was able to stay in the room while the doctor examined my dog and did the blood draw. The vet and her tech did an excellent job with my dog. The results came back quickly and I was able to buy the medicine I wanted from the clinic. The whole transaction was around $150. which is so much less expensive than it would have been at home. Do not let the small building fool you I believed taking my dog to corpus was better since they were a bigger facility but dr.
