To better serve the metroplex, Animal Eye Clinic offers two locations. Our second location is easily accessible at 5750 West Vickery Blvd in Fort Worth. It is located between Interstate 20 and Interstate 30; on the intersection of Bryant Irvin and Vickery Blvd.
Dr. Michael Paulsen, Dr. Stephanie Bell and Dr. Angela Griggs are dedicated to the practice of ophthalmology and how it relates to your pet. Our doctors use innovative service tools and techniques to provide the cutting edge in ophthalmic care for your pet. They are equipped with the latest surgical, diagnostic and therapeutic equipment to aid in the proper diagnosis and care for your pet. In addition, our doctors utilizes digital photography at each exam which allows them to track your pet’s progress, down to the finest detail. These photographs provide a fast and accurate system to update treatment plans efficiently.
Once you make your first phone call to our office, a proven process of success is set into motion. Our friendly front office staff will immediately obtain a complete medical history from you and your regular veterinarian, ensuring continuity of care. We coordinate our resources to identify an appropriate and personalized treatment plan. ANIMAL EYE CLINIC maintains a constant stream of communication with your regular veterinarian throughout your pet’s relationship with us. After each visit, a copy of the exam and any updates in treatment are forwarded to your regular veterinarian’s office.

Five stars all the way around. The support staff are so great, Dr. Paulsen could be mediocre and the experience would have been more pleasant than most in my every day life. Smiles could be heard on the phone, seen when I walked in the door and continued when Lola and I went in the room. Dr. Paulsen ran several standard tests on Lola's eyes, and comforted me with visual confirmation that the fogginess I was concerned about was the natural aging and her cataract was too small to address at this time. I made it clear before he said a word that she was my baby and I was ready to do whatever I needed to do to give her the best quality of life. I respect his professionalism and look forward to our annual follow up because I know he has his patients best interest at heart. Thank you all so much for a great experience.

We've been going to Dr. Paulson for about 8 years now. Two of our dogs have issues with their eyes. There are other animal eye doctors at this location but we've only seen Dr. Paulson. This doctor has one of the best bedside mannerisms I have ever seen. He never rushes you out the door. He has always explained everything clearly and will answer any and all questions until you are satisfied. We love him and trust his medical opinions completely. His staff are friendly as well and we have never had a bad experience here or at their Fort Worth location.

Our dog had surgery there about 7 weeks ago now. The surgery went well and although she is still in recovery mode, she has had several follow up visits and Dr. Paulsen is pleased with her recovery. Dr. Paulson and staff are great! We took our 17yr old diabetic Pomeranian in because he went completely blind about 9 months after being diagnosed with diabetes (from age). They literally gave him a new lease on life and restored his vision in both eyes! His golden years are sighted because of them and we couldn't thank them enough. Why I have never given these wonderful folks a review by now is beyond me. I WILL NEVER ever ever consider taking my pets anywhere else for eye issues. Dr. Paulsen and his staff have done amazing things to preserve my dog, Howdy's, vision and I am forever grateful. They have treated us as family from the beginning and just now before we left, one of the sweet sweet ladies on the team made sure to ask how my son is doing. It is obvious these people love what they do. You can feel it from the moment you walk in. My family and I THANK YOU for all you've done for us!

I love the staff here, everyone is so sweet! I brought my tiny 10 year old Yorkie, Tinker Bell, in to get her eyes checked after she was diagnosed with dry eye almost 2 years ago by my regular vet, but her eyes were still bothering her. Dr. Griggs changed her medication and Tinker Bell has the sparkle back in her eyes! She's happier and healthier now, I feel like she is more like her younger self again! I can't thank you all enough.

I will never go back. First thing was they acted freaked out because my sick dog growled at them and they acted like she was an untamed lion. They would not allow me to put a muzzle on my own dog, said it was against their policy. They said if they couldn't get it on her, they would have to sedate her to place a simple muzzle on her nose. I was floored. They snuck up behind her with a town and grabbed my small/med dog to place a muzzle. I couldn't believe my eyes and ears. My dog is medium size, 13 years old and was only growling/barking at strangers and never resisted. My dog was not even fighting the muzzle. It was comical almost. Second, Dr. Angela Griggs was very non-compassionate and told me my dog was completely blind in her left eye. It was a shock from hell and she just old me like "as a matter of fact" like I was supposed to already know it. I wanted to faint and she continued to talk about the removal of my dogs eye like it was ok or an every day event. No care or compassion and delivered the bad news to me in that manner. I will never never never go back to them.

Fantastic specialty canine eye care. Place is extraordinarily clean and professional looking. Folks are very pleasant, helpful, and empathetic. I have the utmost confidence in their vets and staff. Highly recommended if your canine child has any sort of eye issues.Side note: my GPS has an extraordinarily hard time finding this place and always tries to send me the wrong way on the service road. Be sure you check a map if you're unsure so you can tell your Garmin that yes, you'll be "reeeeeeecalulating", thank you very much.

I took my 10 yr. old Yorkie (Freddie) to I-20 after taking him to Gully Animal Hospital where Dr. Franklin said he needed to be put to sleep! Thank heavens Dr. Welch and her assistant Troy where on call. They reviewed the lab work and saw no reason why he should be put down and hospitalized him. Dr. Welch discovered he had Cushion Disease which can affect the major organs if not treated. She also discovered he had been suffering from food allergies. Dr. Welch never gave up on Freddie and she and her team saved my Yorkies life! I can not say enough about the wonderful care Lindley and the other techs gave to Freddie while in ICU. He goes back and visit and you can tell he is happy to see them! Freddie is more active today than he was at 5 yrs.

Smiles could be heard on the phone, seen when I walked in the door and continued when Lola and I went in the room. Dr. Paulsen ran several standard tests on Lola's eyes, and comforted me with visual confirmation that the fogginess I was concerned about was the natural aging and her cataract was too small to address at this time. We've been going to Dr. Paulson for about 8 years now. Two of our dogs have issues with their eyes. There are other animal eye doctors at this location but we've only seen Dr. Paulson. This doctor has one of the best bedside mannerisms I have ever seen. He never rushes you out the door. Why I have never given these wonderful folks a review by now is beyond me. I WILL NEVER ever ever consider taking my pets anywhere else for eye issues. Dr. Paulsen and his staff have done amazing things to preserve my dog, Howdy's, vision and I am forever grateful. They have treated us as family from the beginning and just now before we left, one of the sweet sweet ladies on the team made sure to ask how my son is doing. It is obvious these people love what they do. You can feel it from the moment you walk in. My family and I THANK YOU for all you've done for us!

I love the staff here, everyone is so sweet! I brought my tiny 10 year old Yorkie, Tinker Bell, in to get her eyes checked after she was diagnosed with dry eye almost 2 years ago by my regular vet, but her eyes were still bothering her. Dr. Griggs changed her medication and Tinker Bell has the sparkle back in her eyes! She's happier and healthier now, I feel like she is more like her younger self again! I can't thank you all enough.

I will never go back. First thing was they acted freaked out because my sick dog growled at them and they acted like she was an untamed lion. They would not allow me to put a muzzle on my own dog, said it was against their policy. They said if they couldn't get it on her, they would have to sedate her to place a simple muzzle on her nose. I was floored. They snuck up behind her with a town and grabbed my small/med dog to place a muzzle. I couldn't believe my eyes and ears. My dog is medium size, 13 years old and was only growling/barking at strangers and never resisted. My dog was not even fighting the muzzle. It was comical almost. Second, Dr. Angela Griggs was very non-compassionate and told me my dog was completely blind in her left eye. It was a shock from hell and she just old me like "as a matter of fact" like I was supposed to already know it. I wanted to faint and she continued to talk about the removal of my dogs eye like it was ok or an every day event. No care or compassion and delivered the bad news to me in that manner. I will never never never go back to them.

We had an emergency regarding one of our dogs. Our primary care vet told us to take our pup to this clinic. Well the care she received was great. From Morgan to Dr Paulsen everything was great. They respected us and cared for our dog at a high level. We would highly recommend them.

Fantastic specialty canine eye care. Place is extraordinarily clean and professional looking. Folks are very pleasant, helpful, and empathetic. I have the utmost confidence in their vets and staff. Highly recommended if your canine child has any sort of eye issues.Side note: my GPS has an extraordinarily hard time finding this place and always tries to send me the wrong way on the service road. Be sure you check a map if you're unsure so you can tell your Garmin that yes, you'll be "reeeeeeecalulating", thank you very much.

I took my 10 yr. old Yorkie (Freddie) to I-20 after taking him to Gully Animal Hospital where Dr. Franklin said he needed to be put to sleep! Thank heavens Dr. Welch and her assistant Troy where on call. They reviewed the lab work and saw no reason why he should be put down and hospitalized him. Dr. Welch discovered he had Cushion Disease which can affect the major organs if not treated. She also discovered he had been suffering from food allergies. Dr. Welch never gave up on Freddie and she and her team saved my Yorkies life! I can not say enough about the wonderful care Lindley and the other techs gave to Freddie while in ICU. He goes back and visit and you can tell he is happy to see them! Freddie is more active today than he was at 5 yrs.
