My dogs have been going to Arkansas Browning Animal Clinic for many years. Everyone there has always been helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I appreciate the care they have taken with my puppies and with me. Update-- one of my pups found an indoor rat sticky trap and ingested the bait and most of the trap. It was good while it lasted. We had never had problems like this until today. Appointments are now overbooked and don't take into account emergencies. There is a serious issue with parking as well! No parking spots were available so I sent my almost 18 year old in with our dog and they refused to check him in until I walked in the door but there were no open parking spots! That put 3 people in front of us and 20 minutes before we would even get to a room. They didn't even have any emergencies ahead of us. Unfortunately that's it for us. My time is valuable too. Cheapest place atound. You need appointment also, but you can come on in you just have to wait until they can fit you in. They have been known to be rude, like they will hang up on you when you call if they are having fun talk in the office. But really they have the lowest cost for fixing your pet. I do reccomend! After calling every vet in the area, and them all insisting a stray dog should be put down because of a bad break, I finally called this place. They said they could do the surgery on the leg and quoted me a price. They ended up not doing the surgery due to scar tissue and the setback in the recovery process. It's been 2 years since our TJ visited the clinic. He is alive and well thanks to the staff. Truly grateful to everyone at the clinic. Lost TJ's uncle, because Green Oaks pet hospital in north arlington would not treat our dying dog because we didnt have enough money. They didnt even have the heart to give pain medication...he was in obvious pain, money means more to Green Oaks pet hospital..not the animals. They are always very helpful and sensitive toward my concerns and my pets' being unsure in the office. My cats get carsick, they always bathe them and clean the carrier for me and send my cats home in warm towels. They work with you on payment, are affordable for vaccines because of their online coupons. They also don't charge you another exam fee if the first treatment did not fix the issue. Had my cat neutered and microchipped here. They were wonderful. They did blood work first before they would operate. His platelets were low and because of that they would not do anything. They were afraid of him bleeding out. So for a month, every week, I took him back for his blood to be tested. They did not charge me for the extra blood work. Finally after a month, he was sick during that month, his blood started to clot and they operated. The staff are great. I have tried several different Vet's and Arkansas Browning is by far the best. The vet was very knowledgeable and didn't charge me for a bunch of unnecessary testing. My dog has a tumor on her leg and most vets would have added all these extra tests. I came in with a coupon for free visit. They treated my dog and I as if we weren't important and the vet only spoke to us for 1 minute then left us with the tech who didn't know anything. They also prescribed expired medication for my dog and I had to bring it to their attention!!! This is a very expensive clinic for no reason. They do not care about our pets or even their own pets at all. They had a sick cat in their lobby throwing up and they yelled at the cat for throwing up and told the cat that she was not going to eat for the rest of the day! Horrible staff indeed! From the moment I walked in the door I questioned if I should stay, as the waiting room reeked of it. The staff at the desk checked us in but was openly disgruntled that I wanted my original records back (I had just adopted my dog and was living in Arlington temporarily) and that she had to copy them. I kept instructing my dog to sit, and not jump, and when the tech came to bring us to the exam room, she instantly let him jump up on her, I told him to sit and explained I do not want him jumping on people, and she proceeded to encourage him to jump up again. The vet was nice enough, although I felt like she really didn't want to be there and barely checked out my dog. As I was paying and leaving the office dog on the other side of the half door, kept jumping up on the door, making it impossible to sign for my credit card and control my dog, who was also jumping up. I ended up not staying in Arlington, but even if I had stayed, I would have found a new vet. Read Less

I came across this animal clinic online because they had some online discount specials. I recently adopted a cat at that time and I wanted to get a routine check up for him to make sure he was A-OKAY. The discount specials were for getting a microchip for I think $30 and a routine checkup for free for first time visitors. I guess with these kind of promotions this location was hungry for business. When I got there it was clean inside and the backroom was standard. When my cat was getting microchipped they used a spray bottle and sprayed him before putting the big needle with the chip in him. I do not know what was in the bottle but I didn't know how sanitary it was. The vet came in after the microchip and did a 5 second check up on my cat. The issue I had with the vet is I didn't think he was thorough. It looked like he had a bad hand and I think that prevented him from doing his job properly. I guess I should have known better than to come here if they were promoting discounts to get business in. My cat is okay so that's all that matters. Read Less

Nice staff. Dr took the time to educate us on our dogs' health and options for supplements/food/meds as they aged (both have arthritis, one with advancing hip dysplasia). Blood test for one dog was quite expensive and was required first to be able to start her on an anti-inflammatory medication. But, the vaccine cost with the online coupon is the same price as the "low cost" pet vaccine  clinic they have at The Dog Wash every Sunday - without waiting in that long line! The exam Room was small though - and with 2 big labradors, it felt really cramped. But, all in all- we will keep going back here with our dogs! Read Less

Took my year-old pit rescue here when he broke out in hives all over his body one morning. I searched yelp and called to see if they take walk ins. They told me to come right away so I did. We arrived at 11am. My dog is anxious around some new people, but he happily greeted another dog owner and vet tech in the waiting room. When we got to the exam room he was cornered by two techs and he growled. They made me muzzle him and put him on the take myself then laid into me about getting him trained and socialized. Something I have been doing in the short time I've had him. These two techs were very rude not listening to me, afraid to touch my muzzled dog, not taking any time at all to greet my dog or make him comfortable. I would have left right then if it wasn't for the hives. Later my dog was sitting on the exam table trembling and they wanted him to lay down, so the tech pulled his leash, squatting on the ground to pull his neck down. I stepped in and asked if I could help. The tech literally told me that they had other things to do and didn't have time for me to get in their way. I told her to shut up and told my dog to lay down and he did. This is why I will never be back.The vet we saw, on the other hand, was excellent. Don't remember his name but he's an older man with white hair. He thoroughly looked my dog over and administered steroids to bring the hives down. He took time to answer my questions about dog allergies and what to do in the future. He referred me to an allergist but following his advice we haven't had bad allergy problems. He never rushed me and was very helpful. I paid and when we walked out without a muzzle the vet was leaving for lunch. He walked up intimidated and let my dog sniff him and lick his hand, telling me my puppy will come around to meeting new people. My 4 month old pitbull pup has parvo and hook worms. They took $48 off the office visit the first time I went and had him checked out. They offered me two options whether to keep him there or take him home on meds. I opted for the take home because he was in the early stage (thank god!) They often call me just to see how my puppy is doing and is very involved outside the clinic! The staff is great and truly caring. He's now on a great recovery to good health. This clinic offered $85 cat spaying.  It sounded like a great deal.  I took my 8 m.o. kitten, who has never been outside and and has Never,  never,  ever been around a male cat, to be spayed. The clinic added $40 fee because  they CLAIMED she was pregnant!  The Staff Was Incredibly Rude (and in my face) when I Advised Them That Was Impossible!  I guess I should have named my cat Mary rather than Molly! Holy babies!  I researched them after that and found put that mine is not the only immacate, virginal birth that this clinic has encountered. Many other complaints exist!!! BE WARNED! What a rip off! I brought my kitten here after he came to us. He started losing his fur on his neck and under his chin. First thing I did was a google search of feline hair loss (bad idea), of course I thought he had mange. I brought him in and the crew looked him over and we discovered he had ear mites, not a big surprise since he was born under an old hood of a car out in someones back yard. They cleaned up his ears and gave us some drops to help rid him of mites, and within a few days his fur was already coming back. When it came time to have the little kitten neutered, we were able to have him vaccinated and snipped without taking out car loan. My puppy got Parvo when he was very small & young, which is a bad thing. Thank God they got us in right away! The treatment is expensive & we could have still lost him. We had to try, so we paid for them to keep him 3 days & nights. He ended up doing extremely well! Thank God! Dr Lippett took him home with her over night, which made me feel much better! We wouldn't have been able to afford an emergency clinic, so they were a godsend! He did so well that they sent him home early & refunded me the difference. They could have kept him & the money, but they obviously love the animals! He is growing and doing great! They were so kind and supportive! They were honest, but still helped me stay positive. Have been to this clinic twice, both for minor emergencies, a dog & a cat. Both my pets & I were treated with respect & genuine care. They could have easily overcharged this worried mom for unnecessary tests, which they did not. They simply did what needed to be done to help my pets, and did it at a very reasonable price. You are able to tell if your pet has worms. If you see that the feces has worms that look like rice grains. If the customer tells the tech that they saw this on the pets feces the tech should not suggest to have the exam because it is a known fact that the pet has worms. Read Less

Having been a vet tech for over 14 years, I must say that while the client has EVERY right to be angry about the rude behavior of Dr. Lippitt, and the fact that she had to remind the tech to give her the results of her pet's test, but, she is really way of base saying she knew her puppy had worms. What were the symptoms? What absolutely convinced you that your pet had worms? Every always assumes thtt because their pat is doing this or that, it MUST have worms. The truth is, the fecal exam performed was done microscopically and is extremely accurate. I'm sorry, but she was WRONG in her home diagnosis. I took exception to her review because she seem to imply that the test was wrong because SHE thought her puppy had worms, and therefore shouldn't have to pay for it. When you go to your family physician and a test is performed to diagnose a problem you may be having, if the test proves your home-diagnosis was wrong, do you refuse to pay for the test because it proved such?? Why should a veterinary clinic be any different?? These doctors go through as much (or more) training as your family physician. Why should they have ANY less respect?? I feel that the client was (and is) bitter because she as wrong and can't accept it. TOO BAD!! Read Less

I had to take my very first puppy to the vet to get her started on the vaccinations and she had a worm problem. I decided on taking her to Arkansas-Browning Animal Clinic because it was conveniently located close to home. The atmosphere was very cold. Dr. Lippitt came into the exam room and did not introduce herself to me. Excused her self for being very quick and explained that they were very busy the day of my visit. I explained to the assistant about the worm problem as I knew my pup had worms. The assistant asked if I wanted to determine the type of worm and check for any others. I agreed to the exam. At the end of the visit I had to remind the assistance about the results and she came back to say that from the sample they took they did not find any kind of worms. Even though I came to the office knowing she had this problem I was still charged for the exam, $28.00 for the fecal flotation, and was told that I had to pay regardless. I feel they should have been upfront and advise their clients that the results may not come back positive even if you know the problem exists. I would have declined the exam if they explained this to me. Read Less
