Dr. Turner is the best veterinarian. Honestly, he pays more attention to my animals than many physicians do to my family members. We had a wonderful experience yesterday seeing Dr. Butler. This was our first time here and everyone was so kind and helpful. Dr. Butler and her staff took extra good care of my cat Ava. She didn't rush the visit and gave me options on what we can do to help my cat. She personally called me today, on her day off, to give my cats test results. She's very caring and super sweet. Dr. Turner has taken care of every fur baby we have had for over 20 years. He and his entire staff are the kindest and most compassionate people that take such good care of my dogs. Dr. Turner always stays up to date on all the latest veterinary medicine and goes above and beyond to keep everyone's animals healthy. Farrell is the best! They know you and your pets by name. All the techs are kind and knowledgeable. I've seen all three doctors-- we usually see Dr. Gaines, but I'd trust any of them. I have two Corgis and we've been in there for a multitude of random issues as well as routine care. Their prices are always fair and the care they give to your pets cannot be beat. Their front desk staff always calls to check on the pups a few days after any injuries or illnesses. I've been to many other vets, but Farrell Animal Hospital is the one I recommend to everyone. I'm very happy to have switched from Banfield hospital (Petsmart's in-house veterinary care concept) to Farrell Animal Hospital. At Banfield we did the vet roulette.  My dog has knee issues so I would have to explain the details again every time we'd go in. Here they had a vet come in to do my initial check up, then they asked if I'd like to stick with the same vet or try someone else for my next visit.    Dr. Gaines and the assistants are always friendly and knowledgeable and take care of my dog like he is their own. The receptionists are very friendly and the facilities are well kept. The prices seem reasonable considering what I spent at Banfield for similar services. First I have been bringing my best friends to Farrells since I was a child. I am not 64. Last experience was Chloe my 6 yr. old female cat. I know she had dental problems but didn't know how bad. She was treated by Dr. Gaines and Heather on Aug. 21. They took excellent care of her and kept her overnight so I could move. Just wanted you all to know that she is much more active now and plays with her toys like a kitten. She played before but not like this. After having 6 extractions and being treated with antibioticts she is feeling much better. She healed quickly. Thank you for taking such good care of my best friend. Farrell Animal Hospital is the most wonderful place to take your babies for veterinary care. I have been taking my 2 little mixed breed girls to Dr. Turner for about 1 years. I am always amazed at how kind and gentle he and his staff are when they do exams, shots, or anything else that is necessary to care for them. The girls are never afraid to go in the front door or back to the room. I know that means that they sense the love of everyone who works there. About a month ago my oldest girl, Casey, exhibited some strange behavior. I took her to see Dr. Turner who noted an elevated glucose level. He kept her about 4 days and started her on insulin and a special diet. She seemed fine but he had her come back every couple of days to make sure the level was within a normal range. Heather gave me very clear and helpful instructions on how to give the insulin and even let me give a practice shot with saline to be sure I could do it when we got home. Caseys glucose kept running too high and Dr. Turner hospitalized her and did some testing. It was determined that she also had pancreatitis which was keeping the glucose elevated. They kept her there for about 9 days. Some of the time was on IV fluids to calm the pancreas. All the while they very carefully observed, medicated, tweaked the medications and loved her. They even went in over the weekend to perform glucose tests, give insulin and meds, feed and walk her. Dr. Turner himself called me most days to give me updates. If he didnt call, one of his staff did. If I called before they did, the receptionist would find out her status and let me know. She came home yesterday and seems like her old self. While she is happy to be home, she was obviously very comfortable in her home away from home and her friends at Farrells. I have had the most contact with Dr. Turner, Heather, Kristin, Rebekah, and Robyn. Words cant adequately describe the level of their kindness and caring. Everyone else I have talked with or even seen there without having contact is always smiling and seems to genuinely love being there. Excellent. From my experience, Dr. Gaines is knowledgeable about spine issues. I would definitely recommend this place. The staff is always available to talk to you. Seem genuinely concerned about the animal and want to fix the problems. My dog was exhibiting issues we needed help with and after taking them to another vet, and getting a shrug and a 500.00 bill,  I turned to Yelp and Google. Reluctantly, I tried this location as I am new to the area and unfamiliar with the good vets, and I definitely scored. Prices seem reasonable considering. Old building but very clean. Read Less

After getting financially screwed by my previous vet, I decided it was high time to take my business elsewhere.  For the last few years I had heard good things about the people at Farrell and had referred 3 different people, with great results.  The first time we took our labs the folks were great and quickly sent us a thank you card signed by everyone at the clinic.  They obviously care about customer service and promptly sent an evaluation card for us to fill out and asked who they should thank for recommending us.  Our older labrador retriever is 10 and we always fret over her aging, so when Hubby took her in they spent a lot of time explaining her fatty tissue tumors and put my frantic man at ease.  When it came time for shots, the Dr was really patient, took 30 minutes to chat with my husband, and the actual Doctor, not a tech, called the next day to say that my old girl is in super health.  Her teeth are also improving with some fluoride you add to the water (we got it at obedience class), and they sold us the brand they carry.  My man is in love with this vet and we continue to recommend him to everyone! I have spent the last two weeks visiting clinic after clinic to find the right vet. I left this clinic knowing I finally found the right one. I have to drive thirty minutes to get there, but after visiting every vet in the area I know my dog is in the best hands at Farrell. The vets, staff and clients are very pleasant. The best discovery was that Dr. Turner is sharp, on top of his game, clearly keeping up on the latest medical advances and cares like I do about my dog. I hope with this review I can save someone the time, trouble and money I went through in my dogs time of need trying to find the right Dr. I have tried five other clinics and had extensive interviews with too many vets.
