Over the past 15 years they have treated 7 of my cats, they are very knowledgeable and gentle with the kitties, you can tell they love animals and are good at finding the problem right away and giving the most simple effective way to heal your poor animal they never over charge or do unnecessary medication. They never listen to what you want. They assume they know better and do what they want instead. The place is so small their is no room to sit. Not very clean, shelves have dirt. The last time we had an appointment they called to cancel on us. Their doctor was the only person who actually knew what he was talking about but I could not make out half of what he was saying. I like Sam's. They've done really well for us over the last two years. The woman who answers the phone and runs the front has always been very nice. I've read reviews where people describe her as rude. I've *never* experienced that from her once. In fact, she was quite compassionate with my wife when we had to put our Boston Terrier down last fall. My only gripe is once we took one of our Dachshunds in to have his teeth cleaned. He's never needed it before, but his breath had become horrifying. When I picked him him, Mrs Sam (I really need to learn her name) told me that his teeth didn't need to be cleaned, yet they had done it anyway. Why they didn't call me first and ask me what I wanted to do is beyond my comprehension. That is the only time I've been disappointed with my experiences with them. Otherwise, we continue to go there. In the future, I'll make sure I'm clear with them, that if something doesn't need to be done, they need to let me know first. Yes the place is small, and a bit cluttered behind the desk. Who cares? It's NOT unsanitary. Some people have become way too conditioned by chain retail establishments, malls and the like. What's more important to you, a perfect appearance, or a place that provides great care at a reasonable price? Frankly, the place feels *real* to me, as opposed to these well groomed, odor free shops for the well trained consumer. Read Less

I've read some of the reviews and I have to agree with a few. Yes the place is small. True sometimes I have to ask to repeat somethings. But not all of us speak perfect English or without an accent. I took my blind puppy there when all other vets refused to give him his shots or neuter him unless I took him to a specialist to find out why he was blind. He was born blind and I didn't realize it when I first saw him in the dark but he was so cuddly that I kept him. I found out the next morning that he couldn't see but just because he was blind didn't mean I was going to give him back. That was 2 yrs ago and he's smart and doesn't seem to let his blindness get in his way. This Vet gets my vote. Read Less

What an awesome caring gentle vet!!!! Brought my cat in for tooth problems, very attentive and honest about needs and prices. Treated my China and by the time we got home she was able to eat a whole serving of wet food, which she had not in 2 days. Fast forward a week later and her improvement is remarkable!!! Normally I don't just hand out 5 stars unless I believe every aspect of my visit to any place was top notch. The customer service was fantastic. I brought my kitten in to have him declawed and I'll tell you I was nervous because I did my research and didn't exactly think it was the best, but living in an apartment I had no choice. I brought him in and the receptionist was so kind and very helpful in calming my nerves. I never met the Veterinarian himself, but he did an amazing job and my kitten healed up nicely within 10 days. My family and friends have been using this vet clinic for years and always have nothing but good things to say. When my cat got sick with a cold, they got me in the same day I called within an hour. He examined her, gave her a shot and sent me home with meds. I was there under an hour. He and his wife show compassion and concern. Showed up. Reception area was empty. So I sat there with my dog Charlie for about 10 minutes when this woman in blue scrubs finally shows up. She doesn't apologize for for not being there as she should have, but instead just asks what the problem is. While I'm explaining what's up, she's got a look on her face that says she's not really paying attention to me, but rather is just waiting for me to finish speaking so that she can say what she needs to say. Sure enough, as soon as I'm done, she says, "Well he's not here.". So I say, "So there's no one here who can see him?". Her answer? "No no no.". Not just no, but three nos. Yes the building may scare you away, even the lobby is not what you may be used too ... but give them a chance. We have been taking our many cats and dogs there for years. I have referred friends there who are now loyal customers too. I love Pat at the front desk, she is a joy to work with, she knows my voice and jumps at the chance to help all of our pets. She is loving and caring and takes exceptional care of our little loved ones. If they are closed or busy I'll go somewhere else if I have too, but our first choice is always Sam's. Read Less

The receptionist/nurse's attitude has improved since last year. She was not rude. She made conversation with different customers and smile. Yes, the nurse and doctor are both forgein. However, the prices at this location are AWESOME! I appreciate them. I give it a 4 out of 5 simply bc it's very small and cluttered inside. It's not the nicest looking vet. The doctor is very nice. He gives you prices right away. It's only he and the receptionist/nursing assistant in the office so I understand why they can't see every single animal in one day. This is not a fancy vet clinic with lots of staff. It's just Dr. Siagi and his assistant/receptionist in a modest small clinic. I love that and know they LOVE animals and know they have the best prices in Arlington. I think they have the best care in Arlington as well! Both my furry family members go here and are treated well and everything is explained and prices quoted clearly and medical care explained very well. They have saved not 1, but 2 of my cats. My first kitty needed an emergency spay. They worked her in, she was looking rough, spayed and cleaned out all the infection. Cost was close to 300. Can't beat that. My 2nd kitty, a male, couldn't urinate. Petsmart vet was gonna charge close to a thousand. Took him here and they dis everything the Petsmart vet was gonna do. Bloodwork, catheter, fluids and overnight stay. Cost about 350. Again, great job and affordable. I have complete trust in this Dr. They're honest with what complications could arise, and stay close to estimated cost. Read Less

This place is very affordable and you can get a lot of your basic services done very cheaply.  I was introduced to Dr. Siagi when I was working with pet rescues.  They are very gentle with your animals and know exactly how to deal with their behaviors.  My dog has a mean bark and is nervous around strangers but Sapah just picks her up and puts her where she needs to be!  I have never had a problem with this clinic.  Furthermore, Sapah is not rude.  She's just blunt and very honest which I appreciate.  I adore her.  This place may not be pretty to look at but the whole point is to keep costs low.  If they spent a bunch of money on staff and aesthetics, you would then be complaining about the prices. Was in a jam and needed declaw and nuter ASAP for a new kitten that was spraying,but didn't have a ton of money, (who does!) and found Sam's doing a google search.  They said I could come in the very nexy day, and the price was comporable with the Tx coalition for animal protection, who had a 3 week wait if wanting both surgeries together.  Once I saw the location on the map I realized I used Sam's All pet over 11 years ago, and they were GREAT then!  NO paying for fancy building and waitng area, just a simple business that takes care of our animals!! And thats what really matters!! I was recommended here from a friend and I've never left ever since! Even though I only come here around 1 or 2 times a year for the past 3 years, whenever I call they know exactly who my dog is without me even having to give them my number or my name because they care about each animal that comes in. I've only been to 2 other offices because once my dog was attacked and it was an emergency and another because they were on vacation but both times did not meet up to my expectations. They are very caring and do a great job! One time I took my dog Emmy in for a teeth cleaning and she had an allergic reaction when she got home so I gave them a call and they rushed right back to their office during after hours to take care of my baby. This vet is amazing.  Sapah is not at all rude.  She may seem a little more blunt than you're used to on the phone, but she is kind, compassionate and loves animals.  All smiles when you go into the office.  And not fake smiles.  Even when your dog pees on the floor (sigh...).Even if Sapah and her hubby were rude, I'd still come here.  They do a fantastic job and don't try to sell me anything.  And they are dirt cheap.  You're not paying for a huge fancy office, half a dozen or more staff members, listening to sales pitches for Science Diet (which is awful dog food, btw).  You will seriously not regret coming here.I paid $75 to have my husky neutered.  He was 6 months old.   It was a neuter and dew claw removal.  They didn't add any fees, they asked if I want the blood test (to make sure he'd handle the anesthesia, but every vet offers that), they asked if I wanted pain killers (yes).   I have never sat in the waiting room for more than 2 minutes.I cannot remember the exact price, but my female 30 lb puppy was spayed for less than $100.    I have to go my dogs' shots updated with their annual heartworm tests, so I'll come back and let everyone know the cost. Compassionate, caring, low cost pet care.  Have used Sam's for years for everything ranging from vaccinations, to paliative care for feline AIDS.  The doctor and staff (singular), are helpful, and clearly are doing the job they love.  The facility is smaller than a 7-11 and the staff limited, so you are advised to make an advance appointment, and possibly to leave your pet there for the day. The place basically looks like a cinder block bunker, but I won't take my pet anywhere else from now on. Besides, who pays for the fancy building anyway - the customer does. My 8 week old kitten needed a front/back declaw, shots and spay, but the cost was around a third less here than some other vets in the Arlington area. The vet tech (Sapah) genuinely cared about my kitten, and answered all my questions. After getting all this done, the kitten was up and running around like she hadn't had minor surgery the NEXT DAY! Here's the breakdown: ------------------------------- -1 STAR for the receptionist ALWAYS being rude EVERY TIME I interacted with SAPAH. -1 STAR for the prices* not being as great as they should be. * Many services (neutering for example) are priced well, but they add on many ludicrous fees which ups the whole bill in the end). ------------------------------- ... I got an ol' cat of mine spayed here once. They did a fine job & it was pretty quick (and cheap, too). No post traumatic stress disorder in her afterwards, which is always good. Overall definitely check with this place to see if they can get you out the door with some good service at a reasonable price, but I'd only recommend using them if either A.) the price quoted is amazing or B.) you have little to no other choice (for example you live very nearby & no car, etc)...Also, the waiting room in there as TINY as is the whole building. Sam's Pet Hospital is the most homely place you can take care of your pets.  It is located in this tiny little brick building near the older part of Arlington.  Dr. Abraham Siagi makes everything affordable and he gives your pets the best of care.  This is a very self-run place, and they put real passion into what they do.  His wife is very kind-hearted, as well.  This local small vet clinic deserves your business, so do yourself a favor, and take your mammals here...
