I honestly cannot day enough good things about these guys! They make me and my sweet girl feel like family and treat us as such. They know my dog by her name and we have only been there 3 times. They truly care for each fur baby they treat and it shows! The staff is always so friendly and informative. Not a bad place. They're very nice and patient with dogs who are reactive or have high anxiety. I'm giving three stars this time around bc they took my dog to the back without the vet coming in to see him first. Also, when they brought him back from sedation, one of the techs wasn't carrying him right and had her forearm in his throat...so when she brought him in, he was choking a little. I'm a super sensitive dog mom so the fact he was choking while still out of sedation didn't sit well with me. I know it wasn't intentional but they need to make sure they know how to carry dogs correctly. Read Less

Best vets in town. I started bringing my dog here after I moved back to Austin in 2014. I settled around the corner and instantly knew this was going to be her vet going forward from the moment we walked in. Everyone is extremely welcoming and incredibly gentle, friendly and loving towards your furry family members, and it is so clean! We eventually moved to Cedar Park and adopted another pup that I've also started bringing here despite it being a little more of a hike, but it's because I trust them. This office is by far the best Vet we've been to. All of the staff is caring and helpful. They have substantial knowledge and technology and never push for unnecessary procedures or medications. They explain everything thoroughly and really understand that our pets are like family. We initially went here because it was close, but since moving we still drive the extra miles just to go here. This clinic did an excellent job with our dog. Our dog had injured his face, paws, and teeth after destroying his 3rd kennel. He has some separation anxiety after us moving into our new house and we took him to this clinic immediately. We didn't have an appointment and they were nice enough to see him right away. They did a thorough examination and gave us reasonable options for how to treat our dog: see a behaviorist, calming foods, training, and medications. I was surprised the cost of the examination and the drug we were prescribed was very reasonable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I like their treatment rooms. It's not a typical vet room with the hard, cold metal table. It had nice granite tops and our dog was happy to jump up and sniff around. I would definitely recommend this place for any animal lover. My husband & I are amazed with this place, and we're so glad we found this veterinarian to go to. Our cat is extremely anxious with vet trips but the vet techs & veterinarian were so calm, patient, and soothing for him. They had an excellent, professional demeanor the entire time in the room with us.  I got the sense that everyone we encountered today truly cares and likes animals, and isn't there just collecting a paycheck. The place was clean, well maintained, door free, and nicely decorated. They have a quiet cat side, and a side for dogs. We didn't even have to check out in the waiting area due to our cat being so terrified & anxious--they brought the paperwork to the room & let me hand over my payment method in the exam room too. The entire staff at 2222 Veterinary Clinic go above and beyond for their patients and owners, especially Dr. Mindi. I will list a few of the many examples:-Dr. Mindi sitting on the floor for 20 minutes petting an adult dog we just adopted to ensure he associated the vet with positive experiences.-Giving us call at 9pm Saturday night just to give us an update and ease our worries on our dog who had to stay the night for observation.-Being concerned for the long term side effects of the prescription our previous vet had prescribed our Cat, side effects the prior vet never mentioned-Giving us a complimentary nail trim when they are running less than 10 minutes behind schedule.( Our dog is banned from PetSmart grooming for being uncooperative  and a vet up the street required 3 techs and 15 minutes of wrestling to trim his nails. 2222 vet clinic takes only a minute and our lab comes back trimmed and happy.)I have been a customer for 4 years. We love 2222 Veterinary Clinic. The entire staff (including the vet techs and front office staff) are friendly and compassionate. They start loving on our puppy (Finn) as soon as he arrives and he runs into the office to see everyone. We had a medical emergency within 1 week of getting him, and they worked him in right away and provided excellent care to fix his problem quickly. We hear that Dr. Mindy and Dr. Frank are excellent. We see Dr. Boerner and just love her. We never feel rushed, she answers all of my kids questions with joy and patience and includes them in the exam. I would give less stars if i could. This was our vet since they first opened several years ago. At that time they were diligent,caring and went the extra mile to assist their clientele. However as the business grew the quality, care and level of service deteriorated. It has now come to my attention that despite instructions to administer heart worm prevention during my dogs last visit such was never done. Moreover this came to light only upon my inquiry regarding when the next dose was due. Clearly there is a serious flaw when requested services are not performed. Dr. Mindi is probably one of my favorite people I've ever met. She is the Vet that sees Ozzy (our corgi) every time we bring him in. I love her personality; friendly, loving and quirky. I have complete faith and trust in her whenever she sees my little pumpkin muffin (Ozzy). Recently, Ozzy got into some dark chocolate brownies with dark chocolate chips and we had to go to a different emergency vet facility after hours. The following day, 2222 called to follow up and ensure he was doing ok. They even gave us Dr. Mindi's personal cell in case something came up with him after hours again. My first time here, I really liked it and felt like my cat was being taken care of. That was a year ago. This year, we came for a check up for our cat, Booboo and were told that she had a slight ear infection and also needed some teeth pulled. Although the procedure itself was done well and we thought the price was fair, the reason I can't give 5 stars is because we were left in the dark about SO much throughout the process.Just a few examples: 1)we were told they'd take out 2 or 3 teeth, after the procedure we were told it was 10 -that would have been a good thing to prepare for; 2) They had to shave a big chunk of her leg hair off for the IV - again, just a nice thing to make your clients aware of; 3) before the procedure, we weren't told at all how to prep and when we show up on the day of, it turned out Booboo was supposed to have fasted that morning; 4) after the process, we were supposed to get discharge instructions detailing how we care for her in the following days, we never got them until my husband returned for a follow up appointment 4 days later and they figured out they were never sent - didn't really do us a whole lot of good then.I tried going directly to the vets with these concerns but things didn't change (the discharge paperwork thing happened after I'd spoken with them and expressed my concern over the lack of communication) and I didn't feel like my complaints were taken seriously. I just don't like being kept out of the loop on things, especially when it comes to a little kitty we consider so special. Speaking of which, even after the multiple times here, one of the vets and some of the assistants kept calling our cat Bo-bo and referring to her as a "he." I know its not major but I mean, comon, just pretend to care. Read Less

They have spent time and effort to help me make the most affordable choices. The medicine my cats needed has to be specially made and they knew who would offer it for the best prices.When I had to board two of my cats for the first time ever... They not only boarded them together but every one of the staff was able to tell me about how they did while I was gone!! There are not enough words to express what an amazing vet Dr. Mindi is. I had a tragic situation happen with my dog while I was abroad and she went above and beyond to help my sweet boy. She sent personal texts because it was the only way to communicate to give me updates and even called me to discuss the options of how to help my baby. Unfortunately, my little guy did not survive but Dr. Mindi had the most compassion I could ever ask for and treated him as if he were her own. She has a lifelong client in me and I appreciate the love she gave to my dog (and to me) during this difficult and painful loss. Had our first visit with Dr. Mindi. She is so personable. Took my Cavalier King Charles in for a lump on her back and she was thoroughly looked over. Several months ago, my last vet told me after a wildly expensive visit that my cat would need thyroid surgery. I had gone through that 14 years ago with a different cat who had the $1,300 surgery then died 2 weeks later so I didn't see the point of doing it again. In the last week, however, my cat hasn't been acting like herself, and she has lost a lot of weight. I didn't want her to suffer so I looked at the Yelp reviews for the 2222 Vet Clinic, thinking I was going there to have her put to sleep. I made an appointment for this afternoon, but when I told the very nice tech what I was coming for, she squeezed me in right away, not wanting me or my cat to suffer longer than she had to.Dr. Metzler spent the better part of an HOUR with me, examining Lil' Bit and explaining various options, seeking the one that was right for us. The short version is that he thinks she will be OK. He gave me medication, showed me how to administer it and sent me on my way. He was extremely nice, patient and great with my cat, and he never made me feel that he was rushing. He answered all of my questions and gave me a result I was not at all expecting. The staff was really terrific. As I left, I told them that I have a new vet and that was even before I saw that they only charged $103, including the medication! My old vet would have charged two or three times that! I really can't recommend them enough. I have a 12 + year old rescue dog who was abused in her early years & has recently become diabetic, almost blind & deaf. She does not take to strangers, which makes any visit to the vet difficult. Best vet visit EVER!I'll start by saying the best thing about my visit to 2222 Veterinary Clinic was watching my dog just looking out the window of his own individual room while he was waiting to be seen by the vet. No shaking, no nervousness, no cowering. He was just happily observing and watching. I think he knew he was in good hands and in a good place.The reason for our visit to 2222 Veterinary Clinic was that my dog had started skipping one leg as he walked. "Dr. Google" - as Dr. Frank called my "research" - had convinced me it was a chronic condition that would result in thousands of dollars on surgery and medication. I was kind of freaking out and called to schedule an appointment to get it checked out. Dr. Mindi actually answered the phone and scheduled me for that day.When it came time to check out a potentially big problem with my dog, I wanted someone who would take good care of him. Given my mixed experiences with my previous vet, I was willing to give a new place a chance.What prompted me to drive from central Austin all the way out to 2222 for a visit was my sister's experience with them. Her little dog had suffered a major break in her leg. Drs. Frank and Mindi took excellent care of the dog and even took her home with them at night to watch her. My sister RAVED about them, and she never raves about anything. When I arrived, the staff were so sweet and immediately took us back to an individual room. Since my dog is reactive, this was a welcome surprise and much better than other vets I've been to where I had to stress while waiting in a mass waiting room with other dogs.This clinic feels new, clean and modern. Dr. Frank did a thorough examination of my dog and gave an explanation in language I could understand. It felt like he really cared about providing good care and not at all about just trying to take me for as much money as possible (as I know some vets come across). And it was good news! No chronic condition! Just a ligament tear that will heal in time.
