Dr Arambula is an amazing veterinarian and thanks to her, my puppy is back to being a puppy after getting into a dog fight. I really wish I could give this place 5 stars but, I can't because of Dr. Reinap. I have no respect for a person who treats his employees like crap and doesn't seem to care about the patients/animals. I really hope he gets his act together because, he's not only losing respect from employees, he's losing respect from clients as well. Read Less

Dr. Reinap sees all three of my dogs and has been their vet since late 2009. He loves animals, and his staff cares and actually calls to follow up (which is something that seems to be hard to come by these days). He's very smart and willing to explain what's going on thoroughly. He's also humble enough to admit when he is no longer the best person to handle a case. During a bizarre lung issue my spaniel had in 2012, he saw her on two separate visits, then when we realized the condition was worsening, gave me several options including a referral to an internal specialist. I have heard too many stories of vets that are apparently in it for the money, and would just try to keep the client at their facility even if it's not the best choice for the animal. Ends up, he knew better than the vet I ended up seeing at the specialist (at least on the initial visit). The specialist didn't think it was more than kennel cough (which Dr. Reinap had ruled out), but on the second visit, she admitted it was something else and her condition was quickly becoming critical. Dr. Reinap had already figured that out! I definitely trust him, and greatly appreciate everything he has done for my fur babies! Read Less

Dr Reinap is great! Which is why I went to this vet with my 2 new rescue cats.           Unfortunately I got the "other vet".  Some young woman... Anyways, I told the story about these  cats-shuffled from place to place, no recent vet care or question of vat care anywhere, passed from rescue to rescue... flea infested, missing hair, ringworm looking circle & missing hair, unsure if they have contagious kitty diseases, etc. Their description didn't match the records I got from the people who re-homed her.   Anyways, new young vet used the Woods lamp & "couldn't tell" if kitty had ringworm or not. NO other remedy was offered but she wrote down that I "refused" fungi test. Hmmm, so I suggested it was ringworm & I refused to "find out". Cats had obvious swollen & "wormy" looking bellies & vet agreed cats had evidence of "prior fleas". Ok, they are missing lots of hair, you think?   So they couldn't get a stool sample out--will tapeworms/ worms do that?  So she treated it one rx at a time... 1st the RX for worms but not for tapeworms that you get from fleas, next my phone call saying cats had tapeworms on the behind-couldn't tell if they are live. About the swollen wormy belly-she said you "never know what the cat ate". But I could guess-flea eggs from the evidence of flea infestion. She couldn't connect those dots.  Cat has ringworm. How do I know? I have ringworm now too. Cats ears were dirty. She noted "normal". Uhmm... normal for whom? There was tons of that brown waxy stuff. Earmites? Hmmm-she couldn't tell.  Isn't there a topical ointment for kitty? No she said.                     Finally, sanity at last-  Dr Reinap stepped in & was wonderful & tried to fix all the problems. But so not worth the aggravation. Read Less

I called the day of & told them today was the only day I could make it in & I got an appointment!! The second I walked in the door they were expecting me & they already had a room for us. Everyone was so sweet & I'm big on how people interact with my baby so I was grateful they were so friendly with her. They explained everything they were doing with great details & we were maybe in there 20 minutes! Price wasn't my favorite but you can't complain when it comes to the health of your pet! I have had my dog since she was a little puppy & today was the first time I have ever seen her happy at the vet! Will be going here for now on! Already love them! Read Less

We started going to Bee Cave Vet Clinic when we first relocated to Austin a couple of years ago with our two maltipoos. We had an emergency situation and Dr. Reinap kept the office open so we could rush in with our mischievous dog, Gigi. He went above and beyond for our little girl. Since then we have built quite the relationship with the staff at the vet clinic. Our dogs love the vet tech, Alana. Recently, we have faced some challenges with our two dogs. Our one dog was diagnosed with Addison's Disease and one month later, our other dog was diagnosed with cancer. Dr. Reinap is very knowledgable and compassionate and it is because of his knowledge and quick thinking, they are both doing well today.Read Less

Dr. Reinert and his staff are great... We have switched our small armada of pets over to his offices now from one of the larger veterinary providers... They've provided personalized service every time we need anything, and are great about following up to see how our pets are.Sometimes the best measure of a vet, or perhaps any provider, is how they handle the  instances where the news that needs to be delivered isn't what one wants to hear. Our dog was diagnosed with bone cancer, and Dr Reinert provided us with a handful of contacts at specialty clinics to get second opinions and to evaluate our options so that we could make the most educated decision with how to move forward with her, all the while counseling us about some of the specifics and what to expect in the event that it was osteosarcoma. After getting more opinions, confirming his initial suspicions,  and seeing that her quality and quantity life were both waning, we set an appointment to have her put to sleep. They had a place set for her in a side room (not exam room), along with a blanket, in order to make the transition as stress free as possible for our dog. Although it was a heartbreaking experience, they made the process of setting her free as meaningful for us and as painless for her as possible.Nothing but great things to say about the team there! They have our heartfelt thanks. Read Less

We were referred to Bee Caves Veterinary Clinic from a friend who's dog had surgery (removing tumor) performed by them.  It was very similar to what we were researching for our dog.So we went to them as a second opinion since we already went to another Vet near downtown to get the initial analysis and prognosis.  Dr. Carter and Reinap were very thorough in explaining options for treatment, surgery, recovery and expectations.  A lot of the information provided we already heard from the first Vet but in their explanations they were detailed and made us feel at ease.So we sat on the decision and finally decided to have them perform the surgery.Surgery went great and as expected we received great explanations on the procedure and all our follow up questions.  They laid out a recovery plan and we are starting the healing process.Pricing was right on par, maybe a little more IN-expensive than the original vet we had quotes from.  We would definitely recommend.Staff is very friendly and Dr. Reinap is always willing to answer any questions you may have. I was incredibly impressed with the quality of care I received with Dr Reinap and his staff. My adorable boxer had gotten into some "garments" and after ultrasound discovered there was one still inside him! *naughty boy. Obviously, when something serious is wrong with your dog, who is like your child it is a very emotional experience. His staff was very responsive with answering all my questions and put me at ease. The doctor and staff then stayed FOUR HOURS after closing on HALLOWEEN night to help perform surgery. I was really impressed especially as this was my first time going there. I also feel like my dog really liked them, usually he is terrified of any other place I've taken him to. I used Bee Cave Vet in 2011 and had a terrible experience with the front desk help.  They didn't listen, always interrupted and the list goes on and on.  I finally ended up taking my business elsewhere simply because it was SO frustrating.  Recently I need some shot records for my pups and was forced to call over there to retrieve them.  The vet answered the phone and we had a good discussion, he then went out of his way on Saturday to get the documents to me. I had an emergency with my pup a couple of weeks later and called.....he answered after hours and again went out of his way to discuss the matter with me.  I think everyone typically deserves a second chance....I went in the next day with our emergency and there was an entirely new staff and it was a great experience. They won be back with their efforts and I am very appreciative of that!! Read Less

By far the best vet clinic I have ever come across! I have used Bee Cave Veterinary Clinic since moving to Austin in early 2011 and knew immediately I had found the right vet.Bee Cave Veterinary Clinic feels like a relative's place... everyone knows you and seems to genuinely care about your animal babies; they call to check up on them after visits/procedures, they get you in touch with the doctor when you have questions and they remember what's happening in the lives of your animals... it's easy to trust they're in good hands there.Dr. Reinap is extremely knowledgeable and explains things thoroughly, but even more important, he is available to answer questions and eased my mind during some difficult moments with my 15 year old dog. He was willing to open on a weekend, talk after hours and eventually, he and Ai (the sweetest vet tech) even came to my home to put him down comfortably. We also rescued a puppy and a kitten, while abroad in Thailand and he checked them out and made sure they were on a good road for a long and healthy life.I trust my babies with Dr. Reinap and Bee Cave Veterinary Clinic and highly recommend you do too! He knew that I was worried about my senior (12 y.o) dog being under anesthesia during her surgery so he called me just about every 20 minutes to let me know she was doing OK. We decided to bring our cat (Warren) in for a check up because he was exhibiting some symptoms of diabetes. First of all, he's pretty jittery and nervous so that was a concern...and I didn't want to take him to Banfield (which is also close by) because of a previous bad experience with our other cat. Not to mention, I really, really hate their conveyor-belt-style, money-generating-at-whatever-cost methods: 1. Bring in much beloved pet at ridiculously early hour and leave with grimacing, yawning desk help. 2. Receive phone call HOURS later to address original issue, along with a list of newly discovered, very expensive, life-threatening issues that need to be addressed immediately...or else. 3. Pick up frazzled and miserable, poked and prodded, much beloved pet and pay $$$$. So, I remembered a recommendation from a local about Bee Cave Veterinary Clinic, looked them up on the internet, liked what I saw, called them up, and the cat was seen the same day. Helped us the second we walked in, and results back in 20 minutes. Impressive! Bottom line: After this initial visit, I will have no qualms about bringing my ""kids"" to them in the future. They really do give a damn, and are not about dipping into your wallet. Dr. Reinap is smart as heck and really knows what he is doing. No B.S. Trust his advice. Gentle handling and gentle care from all staff members. BTW...Warren was deemed ""healthy."" So no worries there, and better safe than sorry. Read Less

I have been to EVERY veterinary clinic in the Lakeway area of Austin. I have met their staff and researched their prices & services. Pity, I did not learn of Dr. Rienap until AFTER I had tried several other clinics. Because I have done my research, I feel qualified in highly recommending Dr. Rienap & his staff. After a salon appointment next door, I stopped in their office to check them out. Jenna introduced herself & happily suggested I meet Dr. Rienap. He is the ONLY vet that I visited that took the time to meet & greet a “potential” new client. I liked his manner and professionalism from the start. Less than 5 days later, I had to take my sick little puppy, Pablo, in for an exam. I chose to take him to Dr. Rienap instead of the last two vets we had visited. We walked in without an appointment and were reassured that the Dr. would see us shortly. Emma took copious notes during the intake interview and managed to win Pablo's (and my) heart, too. Dr. Rienap was caring and focused as he examined Pablo to diagnose his illness. I was happily surprised to hear a conservative treatment plan of antibiotic, anti-diarrheal and a bland diet as a course of action. What a relief...no hard sell of unnecessary procedures and retail products. I actually felt like I was at a real (human) doctor’s office (instead of a “multi-level pet product showroom” with a snake oil salesman in a lab coat!). What a fabulous experience. I have complete confidence in Dr. Rienap and his staff at Bee Cave Veterinary Clinic. You should, too!! Read Less

Read Less

Everyone was so sweet & I'm big on how people interact with my baby so I was grateful they were so friendly with her. They explained everything they were doing with great details & we were maybe in there 20 minutes! Price wasn't my favorite but you can't complain when it comes to the health of your pet!

Read Less
