This is going to be kind of a weird review. You see, my cat Tasha was only a patient of Dr. Percival for a short period of time. I'd had Tasha for nearly fifteen years, and in that time she'd only been sick once. I didn't bring her in for regular vet checkups, because I thought she didn't need it. Even as she got older, she was healthy and still had a lot of energy. My first visit to Cat Hospital of Austin was just for a regular checkup, to make sure everything was ok. They checked her out, and just as I suspected, Tasha was in perfect health.About six months later, I suddenly noticed that Tasha was losing weight. Concerned, I brought her in to Cat Hospital of Austin. Tasha had lymphoma - I'm not sure how long she'd had it - and she passed away about three weeks later. In those three long, arduous weeks, the staff at CHoA went above and beyond anything I could have asked for. They were attentive to Tasha's needs, they gave me all the information I needed on Tasha's condition and what my options were, and as Tasha's health began to decline, and they were able to see me on short notice. They kept in constant contact with me about her care, including once when a storm had knocked out their phones for several days, Tammy at the front desk still managed to stay in contact with me through email. When the end came, Dr. Percival saw me personally and had a long, private conversation with me to let me know exactly what to expect. Thanks to her, I was able to be home with Tasha when she passed, and I will never be able to thank her enough for that. Their office even coordinated Tasha's cremation (through another company) so that I didn't have to it while I was a grieving trainwreck. All these things would have been more than enough, but then about two months after Tasha's passing, I got a handwritten card from Dr. Percival in the mail, signed by all the staff at CHoA, expressing their condolences. Maybe they do that for all of their patients who pass away, but the card they sent to me felt personal, and it felt genuine.I can't say enough good things about CHoA. I'll be adopting another cat very soon, and I will be a customer of theirs for life. Read Less
