At no time did they mention getting there early and when I showed up at 1130am they said it would be a 5 hour wait. They did not offer to text me to come back ......just told me I can go to my regular vet. You should call prior to going and ask about wait time.

We had our bloodhound neutered last week with Emancipet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And extremely gentle with our sweet sensitive boy. We received a text when he was out of surgery and doing good. I love that we were updated by text. It was so convenient and easy. I could tell the staff are true animal lovers and were there for the animals. Our big boy was up and going within a few hours of being home with no problems what so ever. Love this place and highly recommend them!

I had been meaning to take my cat in for awhile to get spayed but I put it off several times. Her eye got infected somehow and I knew she needed vet care, but I could not afford that. The next day, I took her in for the free spay, vaccinations, and microchipping. They were kind enough to look at her eye and the doctor suggested an antibiotic that only costed $20. It has been about 5 days and her eye is completely healed! I am so happy! They saved me tons of money and they were incredibly happy and put her blanket in the kennel with her. I wish I could give more stars. Thank you!

I was nervous about taking my kitten here to be spayed. She had JUST turned four months, and I have a vet I LOVE, but the surgery was super expensive at my vet. I've never had to alter an animal as my previous pets were adopted post fixin'. This little gal was a stray. I took her to my vet three days prior for a shot update and checkup and then to Emancipet for surgery. Everyone was nice. They were communicative. She healed super quickly and is feisty, bouncy, and non-reproductivey. These people are going animal-god's work, and I hope I can make a donation to them this year.

From the amount of people there getting animals spayed/neutered, I can say they provide a very needed service in Austin. Even though the waiting area was full and very noisy, they processed everyone fairly quickly. It took about 45 minutes, most of which was me waiting to be processed. Luckily I had done paperwork online so it did speed things up a little. Get there early. I arrived at 8:00 (opening time) and the room was already full. It is first come, first served so my name was far down the list. My kittens did well with the surgery. The fee charged ($69) is so cheap compared to regular vets ($300!)

Emancipet was awesome! Two days after Christmas our ten year old dog became very sick. We took her into a local vet office and they told us that she needed an emergency surgery and without it, she would die. They told us she had developed a condition called Pyometra, this is a infection in the uterus that must be remove. The quoted us a price of 3,500-4,500 dollars. We knew that there was no way we could pay for that. That vet office let us know that there was an alternative,… non- profit pet organization and that they help people with the expense of emergency surgeries. We were able to contact Emancipet and Dr. Boyd agreed to do the surgery the next day. The total charges including medicine and all was 250.00. During that surgery, Dr. Boyd also took care of a hernia and removed a mammary mass. Over the next several days our dog would not eat and was not keeping even her water down. Dr. Boyd continued to care for our dog by allowing us to come to whatever location she was working at each day and would give her IV fluids, antibiotic shot and anti-nausea medication. All of that was an additional 30.00 charge. We are so grateful for Emancipet and Dr. Boyd and we feel that without their care, we would no longer have our sweet dog Charlotte. I highly recommend this organization and would use them again in a heartbeat. Еще

This place is amazing! The staff are so wonderful. I went to the one on Cameron Road for rabies vaccination and nail trimming today. I got there at 9 and they open at 10. I knew I needed to be early. I was fourth in line with a 30 minute wait so you better get there early! Lol the staff were so nice to me and my dog. She doesn't let anyone cut her nails but they helped me calm her down and I'm so greatful to them. These are the nicest people I've experienced at a vets office.… Thank you so much! I also donated $10 to them and the whole cost was $40. For everything! My suggestion: Come before they open and bring your animal with you. If you come later in the day and you live close, just come alone because you might have a 3-5 hour wait. They give text updates and everything. Love this place! There was only one person doing checkouts yesterday when it should be a two, or three, person process! She even asked for help from her peers and she got a "you know how it is" response. Hire more staff. Delegate more front office help. I won't foster for AAC if this is the new deal. I gave 3 stars because they care about the four legged clients.

So grateful you guys are here.We had three emergency vet visits in the last three months (different cats). We brought our oldest cat into AVES which is our go to emergency clinic, for what we thought was an abscessed tooth. We were given antibiotics and pain meds until we could get into see a dentist. The diagnostics alone were quoted between $1200-$2000, not counting any work that needed to be done. I love the care I get from AVES, but this was out of the question for us. The last emergencies had bled out what savings we had.Made some frantic phone calls, and got into the surgical clinic for an evaluation about a week and change later. Finally found out what was going on. I am really humbled by how much the staff cares. Everyone is there because they love animals and it really shows through. The clinic is a little humble, and understaffed, but the care is top notch.Once we've financially recovered from these pet medical bills, our family is going to make Emancipet our primary charity donation. They were there for us when we couldn't afford care, and we want other folks to have the same access we did.

Heard of this organization a little over a year ago from a coworker. I needed to get some preventatives for my dog without getting robbed blind. Most places were at least charging $100 for the visit and unnecessary test before even getting the preventatives. I got there around 10AM on Saturday and there was a 4.5 hour wait which I didn't mind because I read the reviews before hand. I put my name on the waitlist and I received a text about 2.5 hours later to come for my appointment. The techs were extremely nice as well as the vet. I was in and out in no time. I would recommend Emancipet to anyone who needs affordable pet care.

So I needed to take him to get neutered.I'd expected to drop him off at 8 as requested and go to work, maybe losing a few minutes. Instead, I waited until 9:15 to turn in my paperwork. (They took the cat fairly quickly). At that point I was in trouble at work and HAD to bail. But they took my paperwork when I asked for my cat back.Same story on pickup. I arrived when requested, and waited an hour while discharges were processed v-e-r-r-r-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y. But, this is a charity. Free stuff. IF you have the time to wait, this is the place to go. The price can't be beat.If you don't have far more time than money, you should go almost anywhere else.And if you, like me, don't really need the free stuff, you should pass and let someone who needs it use it. Like I should have.

*This review is location-specific*I have been bringing my cat to the Emancipet on levander for checkups for over a year now with no problems. I decided to bring my cat in for a checkup and the lady at the front desk refused to have my cat seen, saying that they no longer do checkups. I was very frustrated because I had even chatted with an Emancipet customer service rep online to make sure an appointment wasn't needed. I eventually had to leave and go elsewhere because she refused to see my cat. I ended up going to ZippieVet (horrible place!) and called the Emancipet on levander loop to see if it was true that they stopped doing checkups, and the lady on the phone confirmed that they still do wellness checkups (just not extensive vet services, which I knew). So yeah, I will only go to the levander loop location moving forward.

Every time I come here, I expect to pay much more than I should. Instead they don't upsell you and informs you of what you have to get and what is recommended as well. They're kind and competent. The place on the outside looks a little run down and sketch, but it definitely isn't a bad establishment. The wait is a bit long but it's a low cost vet clinic. The wait is truly nothing compared to the quickness of service though! Overall enjoyable.

HERES A TIP, come there at around 4-5, they will tell you that you have to wait 5 hours, but really just stay there and you will get checked in within 10 min because everyone else would leave due to the long wait. Price:This place is cheap. I spent $289 for a years worth of bravecto, triheart as well as my annual vaccinations! Exam:You can have a short exam with the doctor if you have any concerns so you don't have to spend your money at an expensive vet. The examination fee is only $10. Cleanliness:The place is a bit dirty and run down. They only adjusted certain parts of this location. The walls are dirty and some of the seating are not fully wiped. Overall I really love emancipet. You get what you pay for. This is not a full vet service!

I took my 3 1/2 year old bullmastiff mix to another low cost vet where I got all her shots and asked for a quote to get her spayed. Welp, the next day I saw Emancipet in the St. Johns Parking Lot at about 5pm. I asked one of the techs about the anesthesia, procedure and pain meds. I also told her I was nervous to bring her, as she is not friendly with other dogs. She assured me, all pets are kept separated and they will take extra caution with her. Also, she informed me its FREE! to Travis county residents. Needless to say, I took her to the parking lot at 7:30 (it advises you to come at 6, but this was a Wednesday so we ended up getting in), signed some paperwork and they got her in the truck at 8:15am. I'm saving $350 to get her spayed, so I really recommend giving them a donation. They also micro chipped her for free and have a ton of other services you can receive for a low price. I'm super impressed, they do professional work and are super knowledgeable. Will return in the future if I need more services (:

I used to use Banfield pet hospital in the Mueller shopping center and was quite unhappy with the prices and service.This year when it came time for my pups annual shots, etc I looked around for an inexpensive alternative. Despite some of the reviews that I read I decided to go with emancipet central Austin facility on Cameron road near 51st.The only thing I can agree to would be the wait times but even then the price and awesome service I received by far outweighs any time spent waiting to get helped. I just attribute the wait time to them being popular and very good at what they do !!!!!!!!!!!!!I arrived 15 minutes before they opened today and left about 1120 happy as could be. What used to be $200+ at Banfield was less then $100 even after I left a small $10 donation. Once it was my turn, I was in and out of the facility in 25 minutes.The staff was extremely friendly and I can't say enough good things, WELL DONE!!!!!ALL of my three dogs will go there from now on

I have long been a fan of Emancipet, using the mobile unit for vaccines & nail trims. But I'd never used the East-side location nor their surgical facilities. But the Mini-Ekat found a kitten in the Waffle House parking lot on my mother's birthday...so you know we were keeping the tiny beast!!Of course, he had worms when she found him (eeeewwwww!!) & needed baby vaccines, so I took him to a mobile unit. Not only did he get vaccines & dewormer (yay!) but I was given a voucher for a free neutering & microchip since he was too young for that at the time of this visit. Well thank you because free is a great word!He went in yesterday to be neutered. There was a wait, which I was told to expect. I waited about an hour. Not bad for FREE services. The folks that work there are nice & efficient. They are thorough in asking questions & making sure your pet gets what he needs. Many of the staff speak fluent Spanish too. Our little boy came home a little less of a boy but perfectly happy with no problems. Don't let expensive vet care detour you from giving your pets the vaccines they need. On top of that fosters are having to wait for hours just to get shots and micrcochips now due to the stupid check-in system. I hope more low cost clinics pop-up soon so rescues have options. We are being forced to pay full price at regular vets now due to not having 3 to 4 hours to wait on shots.

Very long wait for us yesterday (on a Saturday afternoon so I am not complaining in the slightest, just saying.) The girl at the front desk was the SWEETEST. Our dogs don't really play well with others, and she let us sit and wait in a separate room. We ended up actually being the last ones seen for the night, I felt kinda bad keeping them there, but hey- puppers needed boosters.We were walked into an exam room, and the vet tech, young guy maybe 25years old (?) Was really nice! Waited for the doctor for about 10 minutes and the whole visit with her took like 5 minutes tops. Checkout- lol they tried to charge me $600 .... someone invoiced our heartworm meds wrong. They fixed it, but it was still $200 for the two of them. Reasonable in comparison to a full service vet! Front desk at this location is MUCH BETTER than lavander loop location. Thank you once again, emancipet!

I sat and waited outside with my nervous dog for an hour and a half while being ignored by staff. Now I've had a day wasted and my dog is still in need of care. Try another location, or risk wasting a day with incompetent staff. I've never received such terrible customer service, it's insane

I tried going on a Saturday around noon and they were booked all the way until closing unless I wanted to wait there for 4 1/2 hours.Like many others stated, this place is known for its affordability and how wonderful their service is. What I love most about Emancipet is that they always treat my two pups with love and care! I got both my pups neutered here and it was an easy process. Three years later I still come here for our yearly vaccinations!One of my pups, Simba, had an allergic reaction to his shot and his whole face was swollen. Emancipet was closed by the time it happened. Luckily, the vet told me that if it does get swollen, to give him half a Benadryl. Within a few hours, the swelling went down and he was good as new! He was so cute though, ha!

I need affordable vet care. Vet bills are ridiculously expensive! I try to only use them when I just can't possibly use my primary vet. Over the last year I've noticed less care from the staff. The volunteers tend to be more helpful. I just went in for a dewormer and first I called was told my dog has round worms. I came in told them what they told me on the phone, and the vet tech went to get the medication and as she was doing that I talk to someone next to her and inform you that they were you get tapeworms... So now I ask them the difference in them and they basically tell me that there's just about the same. I was quoted right about $9 now I'm leaving with the medication I hope it's for the right one and charged 25$. But like I said can't complain about the price. I I know I'd feel more comfortable if the techs could actually tell me what causes tapeworms. Seems simple enough I think. I I'd hate it if I had to ask a serious question? Let's step it up people that. They all in all thank you for your services and all that you guys do.

I got my little buddy, Dexx, neutered at a mobile Emancipet on Wednesday. When I picked him up, I noticed he was very swollen and red but the vet didn't tell me I should be concerned about it. Just said to monitor him and make sure he didn't run or jump. I gave him his pain pills when needed, made sure he didn't lick his incision, and kept him as inactive as possible. I tried calling yesterday because I was concerned about his progress and I was on hold for 20 minutes before I gave up and hung up. Today, 3 days after the surgery, the surgical area was not improving. I took him to his actual vet and they were not pleased with the outcome of his surgery. They said bruising is excessive and that he may have a blood clot. I realize that it may just be my dog who has complications but I expected him to have top notch care and I feel like he did not get that. Very disappointed.

This center is brand new, no kill. The runs are clean with an indoor air-conditioned area and an out doors area connected by a dogie door. The place smells clean and the animals look great. It has a big dedicated area for cat and bunny adoptions. A system that lets them use your phone as a pager while you wait so you don't have to stand in line works wonderfully. We adopted a 13wk old German shepherd rottweiler mix and are very happy with the way the process went. FYI as for now (April 16 2012) adoptions are with NO FEES with no end date announced yet.

At no time did they mention getting there early and when I showed up at 1130am they said it would be a 5 hour wait. They did not offer to text me to come back ......just told me I can go to my regular vet. You should call prior to going and ask about wait time.

We had our bloodhound neutered last week with Emancipet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And extremely gentle with our sweet sensitive boy. We received a text when he was out of surgery and doing good. I love that we were updated by text. It was so convenient and easy. I could tell the staff are true animal lovers and were there for the animals. Our big boy was up and going within a few hours of being home with no problems what so ever. Love this place and highly recommend them!

I had been meaning to take my cat in for awhile to get spayed but I put it off several times. Her eye got infected somehow and I knew she needed vet care, but I could not afford that. The next day, I took her in for the free spay, vaccinations, and microchipping. They were kind enough to look at her eye and the doctor suggested an antibiotic that only costed $20. It has been about 5 days and her eye is completely healed! I am so happy! They saved me tons of money and they were incredibly happy and put her blanket in the kennel with her. I wish I could give more stars. Thank you!

I was nervous about taking my kitten here to be spayed. She had JUST turned four months, and I have a vet I LOVE, but the surgery was super expensive at my vet. I've never had to alter an animal as my previous pets were adopted post fixin'. This little gal was a stray. I took her to my vet three days prior for a shot update and checkup and then to Emancipet for surgery. Everyone was nice. They were communicative. She healed super quickly and is feisty, bouncy, and non-reproductivey. These people are going animal-god's work, and I hope I can make a donation to them this year.

From the amount of people there getting animals spayed/neutered, I can say they provide a very needed service in Austin. Even though the waiting area was full and very noisy, they processed everyone fairly quickly. It took about 45 minutes, most of which was me waiting to be processed. Luckily I had done paperwork online so it did speed things up a little. Get there early. I arrived at 8:00 (opening time) and the room was already full. It is first come, first served so my name was far down the list. My kittens did well with the surgery. The fee charged ($69) is so cheap compared to regular vets ($300!)

Emancipet was awesome! Two days after Christmas our ten year old dog became very sick. We took her into a local vet office and they told us that she needed an emergency surgery and without it, she would die. They told us she had developed a condition called Pyometra, this is a infection in the uterus that must be remove. The quoted us a price of 3,500-4,500 dollars. We knew that there was no way we could pay for that. That vet office let us know that there was an alternative,… non- profit pet organization and that they help people with the expense of emergency surgeries. We were able to contact Emancipet and Dr. Boyd agreed to do the surgery the next day. The total charges including medicine and all was 250.00. During that surgery, Dr. Boyd also took care of a hernia and removed a mammary mass. Over the next several days our dog would not eat and was not keeping even her water down. Dr. Boyd continued to care for our dog by allowing us to come to whatever location she was working at each day and would give her IV fluids, antibiotic shot and anti-nausea medication. All of that was an additional 30.00 charge. We are so grateful for Emancipet and Dr. Boyd and we feel that without their care, we would no longer have our sweet dog Charlotte. I highly recommend this organization and would use them again in a heartbeat. Еще

I was fourth in line with a 30 minute wait so you better get there early! Lol the staff were so nice to me and my dog. She doesn't let anyone cut her nails but they helped me calm her down and I'm so greatful to them. These are the nicest people I've experienced at a vets office.… Thank you so much! I also donated $10 to them and the whole cost was $40. For everything! My suggestion: Come before they open and bring your animal with you. If you come later in the day and you live close, just come alone because you might have a 3-5 hour wait. They give text updates and everything. Love this place! There was only one person doing checkouts yesterday when it should be a two, or three, person process! She even asked for help from her peers and she got a "you know how it is" response. Hire more staff. Delegate more front office help. I won't foster for AAC if this is the new deal. I gave 3 stars because they care about the four legged clients.

So grateful you guys are here.We had three emergency vet visits in the last three months (different cats). We brought our oldest cat into AVES which is our go to emergency clinic, for what we thought was an abscessed tooth. We were given antibiotics and pain meds until we could get into see a dentist. The diagnostics alone were quoted between $1200-$2000, not counting any work that needed to be done. I love the care I get from AVES, but this was out of the question for us. The last emergencies had bled out what savings we had.Made some frantic phone calls, and got into the surgical clinic for an evaluation about a week and change later. Finally found out what was going on. I am really humbled by how much the staff cares. Everyone is there because they love animals and it really shows through. The clinic is a little humble, and understaffed, but the care is top notch.Once we've financially recovered from these pet medical bills, our family is going to make Emancipet our primary charity donation. They were there for us when we couldn't afford care, and we want other folks to have the same access we did.

Heard of this organization a little over a year ago from a coworker. I needed to get some preventatives for my dog without getting robbed blind. Most places were at least charging $100 for the visit and unnecessary test before even getting the preventatives. I got there around 10AM on Saturday and there was a 4.5 hour wait which I didn't mind because I read the reviews before hand. I put my name on the waitlist and I received a text about 2.5 hours later to come for my appointment. The techs were extremely nice as well as the vet. I was in and out in no time. I would recommend Emancipet to anyone who needs affordable pet care.

First, background. My wife was given a free voucher for a neutering, and she cannot pass up free stuff. But I work downtown, and it's my cat. So I needed to take him to get neutered.I'd expected to drop him off at 8 as requested and go to work, maybe losing a few minutes. Instead, I waited until 9:15 to turn in my paperwork. (They took the cat fairly quickly). At that point I was in trouble at work and HAD to bail. But they took my paperwork when I asked for my cat back.Same story on pickup. I arrived when requested, and waited an hour while discharges were processed v-e-r-r-r-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y. But, this is a charity. Free stuff. IF you have the time to wait, this is the place to go. The price can't be beat.If you don't have far more time than money, you should go almost anywhere else.And if you, like me, don't really need the free stuff, you should pass and let someone who needs it use it. Like I should have.

*This review is location-specific*I have been bringing my cat to the Emancipet on levander for checkups for over a year now with no problems. I decided to bring my cat in for a checkup and the lady at the front desk refused to have my cat seen, saying that they no longer do checkups. I was very frustrated because I had even chatted with an Emancipet customer service rep online to make sure an appointment wasn't needed. I eventually had to leave and go elsewhere because she refused to see my cat. I ended up going to ZippieVet (horrible place!) and called the Emancipet on levander loop to see if it was true that they stopped doing checkups, and the lady on the phone confirmed that they still do wellness checkups (just not extensive vet services, which I knew). So yeah, I will only go to the levander loop location moving forward.

Every time I come here, I expect to pay much more than I should. Instead they don't upsell you and informs you of what you have to get and what is recommended as well. They're kind and competent. The place on the outside looks a little run down and sketch, but it definitely isn't a bad establishment. The wait is a bit long but it's a low cost vet clinic. The wait is truly nothing compared to the quickness of service though! Overall enjoyable.

HERES A TIP, come there at around 4-5, they will tell you that you have to wait 5 hours, but really just stay there and you will get checked in within 10 min because everyone else would leave due to the long wait. Price:This place is cheap. I spent $289 for a years worth of bravecto, triheart as well as my annual vaccinations! Exam:You can have a short exam with the doctor if you have any concerns so you don't have to spend your money at an expensive vet. The examination fee is only $10. Cleanliness:The place is a bit dirty and run down. They only adjusted certain parts of this location. The walls are dirty and some of the seating are not fully wiped. Overall I really love emancipet. You get what you pay for. This is not a full vet service!

The people here were outstanding! My dog, an Italian Mastiff, is a huge baby and it took 4 of us to wrestle him down to get his kennel cough vaccination in the nose. They were super cool and very responsive to my dog. It's fairly rare to find a group of friendly people working in a low cost vet center. Highly recommend!

Long wait for walk in clients but the care is genuine and thorough not to mention affordable , the vet techs and the doc are wonderful. The front office staff could use some customer service training.

I took my 3 1/2 year old bullmastiff mix to another low cost vet where I got all her shots and asked for a quote to get her spayed. Welp, the next day I saw Emancipet in the St. Johns Parking Lot at about 5pm. I asked one of the techs about the anesthesia, procedure and pain meds. I also told her I was nervous to bring her, as she is not friendly with other dogs. She assured me, all pets are kept separated and they will take extra caution with her. Also, she informed me its FREE! to Travis county residents. Needless to say, I took her to the parking lot at 7:30 (it advises you to come at 6, but this was a Wednesday so we ended up getting in), signed some paperwork and they got her in the truck at 8:15am. I'm saving $350 to get her spayed, so I really recommend giving them a donation. They also micro chipped her for free and have a ton of other services you can receive for a low price. I'm super impressed, they do professional work and are super knowledgeable. Will return in the future if I need more services (:

I used to use Banfield pet hospital in the Mueller shopping center and was quite unhappy with the prices and service.This year when it came time for my pups annual shots, etc I looked around for an inexpensive alternative. Despite some of the reviews that I read I decided to go with emancipet central Austin facility on Cameron road near 51st.The only thing I can agree to would be the wait times but even then the price and awesome service I received by far outweighs any time spent waiting to get helped. I just attribute the wait time to them being popular and very good at what they do !!!!!!!!!!!!!I arrived 15 minutes before they opened today and left about 1120 happy as could be. What used to be $200+ at Banfield was less then $100 even after I left a small $10 donation. Once it was my turn, I was in and out of the facility in 25 minutes.The staff was extremely friendly and I can't say enough good things, WELL DONE!!!!!ALL of my three dogs will go there from now on

I have long been a fan of Emancipet, using the mobile unit for vaccines & nail trims. But I'd never used the East-side location nor their surgical facilities. But the Mini-Ekat found a kitten in the Waffle House parking lot on my mother's birthday...so you know we were keeping the tiny beast!!Of course, he had worms when she found him (eeeewwwww!!) & needed baby vaccines, so I took him to a mobile unit. Not only did he get vaccines & dewormer (yay!) but I was given a voucher for a free neutering & microchip since he was too young for that at the time of this visit. Well thank you because free is a great word!He went in yesterday to be neutered. There was a wait, which I was told to expect. I waited about an hour. Not bad for FREE services. The folks that work there are nice & efficient. They are thorough in asking questions & making sure your pet gets what he needs. Many of the staff speak fluent Spanish too. Our little boy came home a little less of a boy but perfectly happy with no problems. Don't let expensive vet care detour you from giving your pets the vaccines they need. Emancipet was much better before they merged with Austin Animal Trustees:( Our rescue has been using them for years and now they have stopped the discount program for us. On top of that fosters are having to wait for hours just to get shots and micrcochips now due to the stupid check-in system. I hope more low cost clinics pop-up soon so rescues have options. We are being forced to pay full price at regular vets now due to not having 3 to 4 hours to wait on shots.

Very long wait for us yesterday (on a Saturday afternoon so I am not complaining in the slightest, just saying.) The girl at the front desk was the SWEETEST. Our dogs don't really play well with others, and she let us sit and wait in a separate room. We ended up actually being the last ones seen for the night, I felt kinda bad keeping them there, but hey- puppers needed boosters.We were walked into an exam room, and the vet tech, young guy maybe 25years old (?) Was really nice! Waited for the doctor for about 10 minutes and the whole visit with her took like 5 minutes tops. Checkout- lol they tried to charge me $600 .... someone invoiced our heartworm meds wrong. They fixed it, but it was still $200 for the two of them. Reasonable in comparison to a full service vet! Front desk at this location is MUCH BETTER than lavander loop location. Thank you once again, emancipet!

I sat and waited outside with my nervous dog for an hour and a half while being ignored by staff. Now I've had a day wasted and my dog is still in need of care. Try another location, or risk wasting a day with incompetent staff. I've never received such terrible customer service, it's insane

I tried going on a Saturday around noon and they were booked all the way until closing unless I wanted to wait there for 4 1/2 hours.Like many others stated, this place is known for its affordability and how wonderful their service is. What I love most about Emancipet is that they always treat my two pups with love and care! I got both my pups neutered here and it was an easy process. Three years later I still come here for our yearly vaccinations!One of my pups, Simba, had an allergic reaction to his shot and his whole face was swollen. Emancipet was closed by the time it happened. Luckily, the vet told me that if it does get swollen, to give him half a Benadryl. Within a few hours, the swelling went down and he was good as new! He was so cute though, ha!

Came back and they saw us in less than 5 min. Prices are amazing and service as good or better than your expensive vet in your neighborhood.

I need affordable vet care. Vet bills are ridiculously expensive! I try to only use them when I just can't possibly use my primary vet. Over the last year I've noticed less care from the staff. The volunteers tend to be more helpful. I just went in for a dewormer and first I called was told my dog has round worms. I came in told them what they told me on the phone, and the vet tech went to get the medication and as she was doing that I talk to someone next to her and inform you that they were you get tapeworms... So now I ask them the difference in them and they basically tell me that there's just about the same. I was quoted right about $9 now I'm leaving with the medication I hope it's for the right one and charged 25$. But like I said can't complain about the price. I I know I'd feel more comfortable if the techs could actually tell me what causes tapeworms. Seems simple enough I think. I I'd hate it if I had to ask a serious question? Let's step it up people that. They all in all thank you for your services and all that you guys do.

Some shots such as rabies, DHPP, microchip, neuter are free of charge.Keep in mind, the line and wait can be hours sometimes. So plan ahead and come sign in as early as 930am! ( you can't sign in before that)

I got my little buddy, Dexx, neutered at a mobile Emancipet on Wednesday. When I picked him up, I noticed he was very swollen and red but the vet didn't tell me I should be concerned about it. Just said to monitor him and make sure he didn't run or jump. I gave him his pain pills when needed, made sure he didn't lick his incision, and kept him as inactive as possible. I tried calling yesterday because I was concerned about his progress and I was on hold for 20 minutes before I gave up and hung up. Today, 3 days after the surgery, the surgical area was not improving. I took him to his actual vet and they were not pleased with the outcome of his surgery. They said bruising is excessive and that he may have a blood clot. I realize that it may just be my dog who has complications but I expected him to have top notch care and I feel like he did not get that. Very disappointed.

This center is brand new, no kill. The runs are clean with an indoor air-conditioned area and an out doors area connected by a dogie door. The place smells clean and the animals look great. It has a big dedicated area for cat and bunny adoptions. A system that lets them use your phone as a pager while you wait so you don't have to stand in line works wonderfully. We adopted a 13wk old German shepherd rottweiler mix and are very happy with the way the process went. FYI as for now (April 16 2012) adoptions are with NO FEES with no end date announced yet.
