I took my 2 cats in for vaccines. Nicole was great about accommodating us for an appointment on short notice. Sara was super friendly during the check-in process, and made us feel very welcome. The cats warmed up to the exam room almost immediately. Our technician had a gentle manner with the kitties (I didn't get her name). Dr. Rojo was amazing! My cats loved her, and were better behaved than they have ever been at the vet. Wonderful place!

So glad I found this clinic. Been in Austin 40+ years with many dogs. I just love the atmosphere of pet centered treatment. All the techs and staff are allowed to touch my dog and they are all so kind. I have a large breed - she's now 10 months at 110 lbs. Having a staff that is not fearful and who are knowledgable of weight issues is very important. Not my first large breed so I can compare. Also love their multiple media connections. Really helps me keep up with what I need to schedule.

Everyone is extremely friendly and accommodating! Dr. Walker is highly knowledgeable, helpful and very caring. I know she is truly invested in caring for my pets and their well-being. She is also very straightforward and easy to understand. MRAH is all-around amazing! :)

My first visit was an emergency visit. I came in at closing time with my cat who had burned his paw badly. Everyone from the administrative staff to the technician to the veterinarian was so kind and gentle with both me and my cat. They repeatedly assured me that it was no problem to care for my cat and that he would be all right. The veterinarian walked me through exactly what they'd do at the clinic, how much it would cost and what I'd need to do at home. They made a scary experience better and I'll definitely be making them my primary vet!

These folks are awesome!! Schedule conflicts regarding treatment for Lady, my 3-month-old Yorkie who has a broken paw, simply melted away as these folks set about to help me get through them. Additionally, they helped solved a problem with her eating due to pain medications. Lady has been to Manchaca Road Animal Hospital only a few times, but each time, the vet team works their magic, whether it's calming a frisky puppy for needed procedures or 'saving the day' with other problems. They have my highest recommendation!! If you're in South Austin and need a vet, give these folks a try! I was happy with their care of Lady and I think you'll like them for your pet, too!

When emergencies have occurred I have called and the front desk consulted my vet and gave me thorough instructions of what I could do. On one occasion they worked me in during morning hours and skipped the emergency fee. Most appreciated any time I've needed something routine for my dog from they have sent me reminders to my email and called to confirm appointments. Vaccination prices are very reasonable. As well, the heart worm and flea preventatives priced at average rates.Veterinarian Staff:Dr. Joanah Rojo is my regular vet and is always very pleasant and thorough. Whenever I've had questions or concerns she's always answered me or assured me 100%. She's top notch truly. Also, I have been seen by Dr. Anne M. Walker when Dr. Rojo wasn't available and she isn't just someone to "cover" for Dr. Rojo she is just as knowledgeable and friendly. The rest of the staff I've interacted with are just as awesome and always hook my dog up with treats and love. They do their job, they aren't there to gouge you financially and they genuinely all love animals.

We brought in our chihuahua for a check-up after she gave birth to 6 babies .Dr. Rojo and her staff were very caring, knowledgeable and courteous. I was concerned about the mother and the puppies a few days later, so I took them in. They saw us right away and and did some tests to make sure they were all healthy.This morning I received a follow-up call from Dr. Rojo, she was just checking to see if everything was going smoothly. This meant a lot to me. Thank you Dr. Rojo and the staff !!

This is the vet that I take my fur babies to. They are just excellent and so kind and gentle that it is a joy and I trust them implicitly. I had to put down one of my cats today and so I called and made an appointment and they were understanding on the phone and let me cry it out and got me in asap. When I arrived, it was seamless. They offered me the option of dropping off my Bells or staying with her so I stayed. They took her back and put in a catheter for the injection and then I was invited back to the dim room which had tissues and a towel laid out. Dr Walker explained what was going to happen and made sure I was holding her how I wanted and said a quick prayer that was heartfelt and caring. After everything was done, she said I can stay as long as I needed and left the room so I could say what I needed to say and hugged me, letting me know I made the right choice. Having to do something like this is horrifying but the team here made it as easy as possible to say goodbye. They are thoughtful and kind and incredibly gentle whether you are there to have your pets checked out or for something worse. I do and always will recommend this vet and especially Dr Walker.

Penny told me last night with her eyes and her body language that it was time. Dr. Walker, Celeste and the other caring people at Manchaca Road Animal Hospital were gentle, compassionate and caring. Thank you for all you do. Sam and I really appreciate your humanness, and your professionalism. I want to also mention Dr. Joanah Rojo who has been Penny's primary doctor now for months. She was off today, so didn't get to say goodbye to Penny. So sorry, Dr. Rojo. Thank you for all the care for Penny and advice to us you have provided over the past 6 months since Penny was diagnosed with cancer. You have been amazing! God bless you all and your ministry with our beloved pets.

I brought my cat in to Manchaca Road after I adopted her (with ear infection) she was well cared for by Dr. Anne Walker, who really impressed me- she was very gentle and helpful, with a great bedside manner. She even showed me the ear mites on the microscope. Carol, the receptionist is also really nice, and called to check up on her repertory infection and after I brought my cat to the Emergency Hospital on a Sunday. This place was referred to me by my boyfriend;s mother, who had been bringing the family animals there for years (probably at least 15!) and had really good things to say about them. The vets here are so kind an knowledgeable. They also understand that things with Pets can be really expensive and don't try and get you to spend more money than you need to. Such honest people here. Love them!

When emergencies have occurred I have called and the front desk consulted my vet and gave me thorough instructions of what I could do. On one occasion they worked me in during morning hours and skipped the emergency fee. Most appreciated any time I've needed something routine for my dog from they have sent me reminders to my email and called to confirm appointments. Vaccination prices are very reasonable. As well, the heart worm and flea preventatives priced at average rates.Veterinarian Staff:Dr. Joanah Rojo is my regular vet and is always very pleasant and thorough. Whenever I've had questions or concerns she's always answered me or assured me 100%. She's top notch truly. Also, I have been seen by Dr. Anne M. Walker when Dr. Rojo wasn't available and she isn't just someone to "cover" for Dr. Rojo she is just as knowledgeable and friendly. The rest of the staff I've interacted with are just as awesome and always hook my dog up with treats and love. They do their job, they aren't there to gouge you financially and they genuinely all love animals.

We brought in our chihuahua for a check-up after she gave birth to 6 babies .Dr. Rojo and her staff were very caring, knowledgeable and courteous. I was concerned about the mother and the puppies a few days later, so I took them in. They saw us right away and and did some tests to make sure they were all healthy.This morning I received a follow-up call from Dr. Rojo, she was just checking to see if everything was going smoothly. This meant a lot to me. Thank you Dr. Rojo and the staff !!

This is the vet that I take my fur babies to. They are just excellent and so kind and gentle that it is a joy and I trust them implicitly. I had to put down one of my cats today and so I called and made an appointment and they were understanding on the phone and let me cry it out and got me in asap. When I arrived, it was seamless. They offered me the option of dropping off my Bells or staying with her so I stayed. They took her back and put in a catheter for the injection and then I was invited back to the dim room which had tissues and a towel laid out. Dr Walker explained what was going to happen and made sure I was holding her how I wanted and said a quick prayer that was heartfelt and caring. After everything was done, she said I can stay as long as I needed and left the room so I could say what I needed to say and hugged me, letting me know I made the right choice. Having to do something like this is horrifying but the team here made it as easy as possible to say goodbye. They are thoughtful and kind and incredibly gentle whether you are there to have your pets checked out or for something worse. I do and always will recommend this vet and especially Dr Walker.

We've seen both doctors and I can't recommend them more. Both are incredibly knowledgeable and super sweet with the animals. I wouldn't take my fur babies anywhere else!

During my visit today another client arrived who has Alzheimer's and the staff work so lovingly with this guy who was obviously stressed about his dog. So kind and loving, when our pet companions (and we) need it the most. Our dear canine daughter, Penny, went to heaven this morning. It has been a rough week, not knowing when. Penny told me last night with her eyes and her body language that it was time. Dr. Walker, Celeste and the other caring people at Manchaca Road Animal Hospital were gentle, compassionate and caring. Thank you for all you do. Sam and I really appreciate your humanness, and your professionalism. I want to also mention Dr. Joanah Rojo who has been Penny's primary doctor now for months. She was off today, so didn't get to say goodbye to Penny. So sorry, Dr. Rojo. Thank you for all the care for Penny and advice to us you have provided over the past 6 months since Penny was diagnosed with cancer. You have been amazing! God bless you all and your ministry with our beloved pets.

When we inherited our dog, Humphrey, he had never been socialized or trained, and in more recent years, developed major skin issues. The poor guy was in such misery but we worked in partnership with Dr. Walker, Carol, Patty and all the fabulous folks at Manchaca Road Animal Hospital. The great news -- after several years of wearing it off and on (more on) -- the Cone is Gone! Thank you so much for offering us such affordable and affectionate care. It feels like such a victory. I like that they are so professional and highly skilled. Dr. Walker has taken care of my dog and many cats for 10 years. One of my cats had to have a leg amputated. My cat looked like she had just been born with three legs; couldn't see any scar. She never has been limited by the loss of it. The staff are really skilled, kind, and attentive.

I brought my cat in to Manchaca Road after I adopted her (with ear infection) she was well cared for by Dr. Anne Walker, who really impressed me- she was very gentle and helpful, with a great bedside manner. She even showed me the ear mites on the microscope. Carol, the receptionist is also really nice, and called to check up on her repertory infection and after I brought my cat to the Emergency Hospital on a Sunday. This place was referred to me by my boyfriend;s mother, who had been bringing the family animals there for years (probably at least 15!) and had really good things to say about them.
