Our cat's paw recently became swollen and inflamed for some unknown reason, so we rushed to book an appointment with any available vet, which happened to be Northwest Austin vet. I can not reiterate how awful the experience was.The doctor who treated us was William Russel Boyd, and at first glance he seemed stand-offish and unapproachable, not deigning to offer any sort of pleasantries, not even a simple "hello". He kept questioning me when I told him it an indoor cat, very friendly and never scratched people. He declared that our cat had an infection, but did not explain how or why our cat was inflicted with infection. At that point, I was already frustrated with his unprofessional behavior. BUT THE WORST PART is the utter lack of humanity with which he treated our cat. He manhandled our cat's paw, which, as mentioned before, was sensitive and INFECTED, and pressed down hard on the paw while trying to administer an ointment. Of course, my cat naturally lashed out in pain, which, at this point, Dr.Boyd stepped back and refused to continue treatment, complaining of "getting scratched". How can a qualified DOCTOR not have any strategy towards aiding animals in pain? I wasted $192 for an incomplete treatment. A never again experience, definitely. Read Less
