I brought my dog in for heartworm treatment. When I came to pick him up after his required 2 night stay, I was told he had completely torn his ACL while being taken out on a leash to go to the bathroom. In the interest of not driving myself crazy, I have chosen to believe that it was coincidence that in 8 years with me he has never sustained an injury and on his second stay at Beaumont West he had a very painful and life-altering ACL tear. That being said, I could never trust this vet to take care of a beloved animal again.

Make sure to ask the doctor over their to check if your dog has diabetes.. because we didn't find out our dog had diabetes untill the last minute before he died..... and they NEVER asked if we wanted ...
Make sure to ask the doctor over their to check if your dog has diabetes.. because we didn't find out our dog had diabetes untill the last minute before he died..... and they NEVER asked if we wanted to check on it... Our dog died and we talked to the nurses at the front desk about and and all they can tell us " well you need to request it we do not ask to check on it." Those people had the nerve to tell us that. We didn't even know that dogs can get that... Our poor dog was only 4 years old... Hey Dr. Pope maybe you need better workers that actually want to help animal's instead of doing a half ass job. When our little dog passed away it hit us hard... We are taking our other dog somewhere else because we at least want our other dog to live and have a better care then this place.

I highly recommend them! They honestly care about every animal that walks through the door, and they are so reasonably priced! Definitely worth the drive from Bridge City!

Vet Techs Moe & Sarah get the biggest Shout Out for Paying It Forward when they offered to financially help in assisting a car-struck kitty. The vet bill was on me but Moe, Sarah and Dr. Pope stepped ...

The vet bill was on me but Moe, Sarah and Dr. Pope stepped in - with an unidentified client who also pitched it to help me pay. Wow! Amazing people! Empathetic, Generous and Professional. Dr. Chafin at Beaumont West is great. He listens to concerns, personally makes follow up calls and overall is just a nice guy. The rest of the staff there are also just as caring. The office, exam r...
Dr. Chafin at Beaumont West is great. He listens to concerns, personally makes follow up calls and overall is just a nice guy. The rest of the staff there are also just as caring. The office, exam rooms and back kennel/procedure areas are clean and well kept. Recently our Havanese dog went through a tough pregnancy requiring her to be on an IV in the last couple days of being pregnant. Throughout the days just prior and the days she remained hospitalized, they constantly kept us informed and following the birth of her puppies made multiple followup calls. My wife and I highly recommend this clinic for your furry little friends.

This is a great vet. Everyone I can think of takes their pets to this place. Great staff and super clean facilities. They even have cat boarding rooms upstairs that look like the rooms of a Victorian ...

When I came to pick him up after his required 2 night stay, I was told he had completely torn his ACL while being taken out on a leash to go to the bathroom.
