Don't take your pet here unless you want them misdiagnosed!!!!! I took my dog here because he had weird lumps on him, I usually take him to another vet but they offered a free vist here. When I took my dog to my original vet I found out that Banfield had misdiagnosed my dog's lumps as just fat. The people there are not trained very well, and costumer service is terrible. Don't expect to have your pet back anytime soon ethier they will hold you pet for "testing" for even up to 8 hours. Please if you love your pet think twice about taking them here!!! We have used mom and pop vets in the past. However, we began using Banfield three years ago out of convenience. During that time, the veterinarians and staff have always been solid and loving toward our two dogs. In short, good bedside manner and good medical treatment. Read Less

I seriously don't know how anyone can give this place anything but 5 stars. I love this place. From the minute that you walk in, you and your furry friend are greeted by the receptionist (who is always so sweet to my cat). I had dropped off my cat because she wasn't feeling well around 8 am. At 10 am, I was phoned by a vet tech and told all the results from the testing. I was also informed of all medication that was going to be sent home. They told me I could pick her up in 30 minutes! I was thrilled! When I came to get her, a vet tech greeted me with Jinxy and again went over all medications and was super sweet. I've never had a bad experience at Banfield Animal Hospital. If I could give zero stars I would.  I had one serious mis-diagnosis that resulted in my cat suffering for two weeks with a broken leg.  We brought her in and were told that she just bruised it and it should be fine in two weeks.  We asked if an X-ray was needed and the Vet said no.   We brought her in again two weeks later to re-examine the leg and to address very lethargic behavior and poor appetite.  We insisted on an X-ray of the leg and it confirmed it was broken.  They also X-rayed her lungs and found "something abnormal".  We would need to spend another $92 to have an X-ray tech determine what it was.  We walked away horrified that the Vet could not diagnose the issue and it would cost us more money to have an X-ray read!  We took her to another Vet who immediately diagnosed her condition and gave a us a course of treatment.  I would highly recommend never taking your pet to this hospital given their  total incompetence and focus on making money versus caring for your pet. These people are just awesome ! I took my dog there for a ear infection.  It was extremely easy to put a appointment.  When the clinic was booked the staff volunteered to call other clinic to see if they had appointment.  That is awesome ! I would say if you'd like great service ask to see Dr Luellen , he is by far the best vet I've ever had treat my pup at BANEFIELD, but also have never really had a problem with any of the staff, they have all been great! Sure, not everyone is always friendly as cheerful 100% of the time as they are trying to he their work done quickly and smoothly, so if you're not too sensitive of a person let them take care of you the way they know how and you will be in good hands. I'm so angry at these people. I went in last Thursday with my new baby puppy attempting to schedule a new puppy evaluation. I've had trouble finding any available appointments elsewhere so when they said the soonest they could get her in is  on Monday the 13th I said ok. I did voice concerns about waiting so long with her having worms(breeder told me she did) & they assured me that she would be ok til  Monday. Now today they call and cancel last minute due to family emergency. My issue with that is them saying she only was taking appointments until 4pm which leads me to believe that it is more of a "convenience" than a Emergency. I called around and no one can get me in until 7/29. I'm sick about the idea of my puppy not getting help with Her upset stomach for over 2 weeks and I've already paid for this service. FTFT! If you are looking for a long term relationship with a Vet that will actually get to know your animals, this is NOT THE PLACE.  I have taken my pets to this facility since it opened (9 Years?) and almost every single time I went their was a different Vet.  I was told that the Vets, that have worked at Bandfield, do not care for the "Corporate Structure".  After being turned away and having to find other vets when I couldn't get my animals in, when they truly needed to see a Vet, rather then just an appointment for a Wellness Check, I have made the break to a good ole Vet that owns and operates his own practice.  Beware of the Banfield Wellness Plan, the problem with that Insurance for your pets, is when you actually NEED the insurance, for example, in an EMERGENCY or when your pet is very sick, you can't get an appointment.  It's worth it to me, after the frustration of having to scramble to either go to an emergency vet or beg another vet to see my pet, to just spend a little more and have that reassurance with a vet that will consistently be there for my animals.  That is money well spent in my book. In addition, the waits to see a vet....very long.  And the way the whole set up is, is geared to have you spend money at their store, actually quite smart, but always something to be aware of as a consumer.  Also, it's so much easier to park, and get your pets in and out at a Vet owned facility, which is really nice for carrying sick/injured animals in & out.  Once again, worth the cost of paying a little more. I love everyone at this Banfield location! They are always very kind and I know they always take fantastic care of my two dogs Alice and Watson. I have both of my dogs on their wellness plans and it definitely makes things cheaper and easier. When my border collie Watson broke his leg two years ago the staff saw him immediately even though they were closing soon. They did an xray, wrapped it up and prescribed some pain killers. They have been my vet ever since and I would not go anywhere else. These people are fantastic and truly care about your pets! Read Less

Banfield has caring Vets, however Banfield Corporate price gouges and has corporate policies that treat the customer poorly.  If you are on their annual wellness plan, they  no longer schedule the annual comprehensive exam so that you are with your pet and the Vet during the exam.   The only day they allow you to sit in on the comprehensive exam is Sunday.   Banfield corporate appears to want to increase the ratio of pets to Vet to further increase margins.     In addition if you decide to "one stop shop" with them for not just visits but also medication, you will pay much much more for routine medication (ear drops, eye drops, flea and tick medication, etc).    I will not renew my annual plan. Just Don't It.  Don't fall for the Banfield Wellness Plan.  It does not save you money.  The fees for services at Banfield are above average.  I became a member, got my dog the regular check-up then scheduled an appointment for her to be spayed.  The original estimate was a range $290 - 362... which I thought was high.  When we went back for the actual appointment the estimated range went to $417 - 522!  They said they forgot to add the cost for her age, being over 50 lbs and antibiotics!  We turned around and left and spent many hours arguing with corporate to be released from the wellness plan.  My recommendation is Just Don't It!
