I've been to 3 or 4 other vets in Austin--these guys are the best. Speaking generally, at other vets, you get about 30 seconds with the vet and spend the rest of your time with a technician or receptionist. Often, you'll spend a lot of time asking the receptionists questions because your time with the vets was so limited. Here you actually spend a lot of your time with the vet. Maybe it costs like 10 bucks more than the cheapest vet in Austin, but the vet never makes you feel rushed and you're talking to an actual doctor, rather than the receptionist. And you don't sit in the exam room waiting for 20 minutes while an overworked vet makes his or her way to your room and then gives you 30 seconds of his/her time. I think I was in the room about 3 minutes before the vet showed up and he apologized for making me wait. Then he offered to get me a coffee. I was like are you f*#*@ing kidding me? This place is like going back in time 20 or 30 years when you actually had a relationship with your health care provider...even if it's your pet's health care provider. So, what can I say? Y'all, these guys are the cream of the crop. They are the kindest, most fantastic staff I could have ever hoped for. My rescue pit Violet is a little difficult to get to the vet, and this last trip was by far the most horrific experience to date. Violet gets extreme anxiety in the car, and even though we were only going for a routine nail trimming, this particular trip turned into a horror movie. I have learned to always put Violet in her kennel when in the car because it seems to help calm her down a bit. However, this time it didn't help. I'm going to spare you any details, but lets just say it got everywhere. THE HEROIC STAFF AT BEEVET not only helped me calm down my terrified pup with treats and affection, but they also helped me take apart my kennel, hose it down, and let me use their cleaning products to sanitize everything before making the trip home. What was supposed to be a 15 minute in-and-out trip turned into an hour long sweat fest. But these guys were there with me every step of the way. I love that we found our dogs a veterinarian , that takes the time really get know our animals and there owners.  We adopted two rescue dogs Dexter and Bugg. They had been abused  before and between doctor Zimmer and Doctor Chow both have a great beside manner plus very Gentle . When our dog needed surgery and our vet wasn't able to do it, we searched all over for a vet for the surgery.  After contacting countless vets and clinics, we finally found Dr. Zimmer at BEEVET.  From start to finish, the consultation, the surgery, after-care and follow-up emails and calls to check on my dog's recovery - all of it, was so above and beyond what we expected.  Dr. Zimmer and everyone at BEEVET are the real deal.  They really care and they run a great business.  We live far away, but there was never a question after our great surgery experience, that we would change vets and we would drive the distance to continue to go to BEEVET. This is one great animal hospital. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a veterinarian who provides quality care. Dr. Chow, Dr. Moore and Dr. Zimmer are great and I actually feel like they care about me and my dog. I can always count on great service when I come here. You can tell that everyone that works there are true animal lovers. My dog loves all the staff members at BEEVET and she is not afraid when she walks in the door (which wasn't the case at our last vet). They answer every question you might have and explain it in a way that is easy to understand for someone who doesn't know much about animal medicine. Dr. Chow and her staff are, hands downs, the most compassionate and caring veterinary staff I have ever taken my fur-babies to. Simultaneously providing top-notched care with a professional yet personal atmosphere. We are greeted personally as we come in and they genuinely care and follow the progress of my dogs. They have always encouraged and answered every question I have, from beginning care of new puppy adoptions to end-of-life care. My dogs, too, offer a great recommendation, as they are excited to come to BEEVET with their tails wagging as we arrive. Dr. Chow is amazing. She was patient and kind to my fur baby & myself. I brought our 3 year old Rottweiler in for an annual exam & a second opinion on TPLO surgery. When I rescued Ringo, I had no idea I would lose him in less than a year to bone cancer. My Chihuahua goes in and comes out like a little happy camper which tells me she is treated well and loved. As humans we might think a certain place is OK, but your furr baby says it all. Our last Chihuahua and this latest one would start putting on the paw brakes the minute we would get out of the car at the former Vet office. In fact she would get nervous when I turned on the street. Beevet is nothing like that. Everyone is so kind, sweet and helpful. Didn't meet Dr. Chou, first Vet visit, but I believe it was Dr. Moore. She so good! Since then had her nails clipped and didn't even need to muzzle her! Read Less

Dr. Moore has the worst communication skills. Belittles clients when they dare ask a question. When I ask for an explanation of charges I get the runaround, when I press further she has no legitimate explanation of charges and ends up dropping tests because they have no bearing on the issue at hand. This is an obvious issue as the staff have no idea what they're doing either. I wanted something better than a chain vet big box place, I hate to say that this is worse. Read Less

Dr. Chow and staff are the most caring, compassionate people I have ever met. I am so thrilled that Dr. Chow opened her clinic! I will never take my little guys to anyone else! I had to take my little buddy, Rusty for a large lump removal. I was so worried because he's 13 years old and has seizures. Dr Chow always takes the best care of Rusty, keeping all of this in mind. Her staff is wonderful, but Dr. Chow is the most incredible person, she loves her job, and really cares about the animals. Rusty came out of the surgery and did really well. He is making a full recovery and got his final after surgery checkup today. She did a wonderful job with the incision, it's all healed up and when the hair grows back over it you won't even be able to see it. Thank you Dr. Chow so much for taking such good care of my baby!!! We came to this hospital yesterday because of an emergency situation with our young dog. She had suffered a bee sting and was really in bad shape.
