I would not recommend Boca Chica Animal Hospital if you have a cat. Its very sad that the area lacking in having vets who specializes in taking care of cats. I took my cat in on a Monday be ause he was lethargic and constipated. This is a common issue for many cats, of which he was. On Tuesday night early morning, he credit and was seizing. I got out of bed and tried to comfort him but it was a horrible death. On Monday he was treated at BCHA for his constipation. When I took him in, he was eating and drinking was only lethargic and constipation. I left him as stool was found to be very baked up in his colon. He was treated with two or three enimas. I only communicated after leaving him with the vet tech. When I picked him up he had been treated and they had cleaned out some of the feces in his colon. However, again, if was the tech who was there and treating my cat. When she returned him to me he was a bit distraught and lethargic. He looked as if he had been put through the ringer. At home on Tuesday he continued lethargic behavior and would not eat or drink. He slowly digressed. That night he does, as I mentioned.
I feel he was NOT treated well. I was told nothing was given to him to help him relax, and I don't understand why they felt they had to clear the whole colon. Also, WHY wa the tech the one working on him??
All I know is that he had an unnecessary death.
I would not recommend any one to this clinic after my cats death. I feel the care at this practice has depreciated dramatically.

I was hesitant to try a new vet. office, but glad I did. My experience with Boca Chica Animal Hospital has been met with great and friendly service by staff and doctors. We started coming here when one of our miniature schnauzers got pregnant and we wanted xrays done to know how many puppies to expect. Since then mommy and puppies have been given excellent care and are doing great. I will definetly be bringing in my other schnauzers as well. I have always believed you gotta love what you do and its clear this team of professionals do.

Best vet by far. They are very caring, capable, and very knowledgeable. Pets are comfortable there. You can tell they genuinely like animals which is important to me. Also they are very reasonably priced. They don’t push for a lot of extras that you can’t afford. & it’s pretty easy to get an appointment if you need one soon. Now, I go there for anything that my pets need, except for preventative care, for that I go to the spay & neuter clinic. But if you need to see a vet for something more I think this place is the best.

They seem to genuinely want what's best for our animals and are not just motivated by money. It seems like a lot of vets and doctors in this area prey on ignorant patients to try to sell them things they don't need, but not this one. We take both our dog and cat here and the vets take good care of them and the staff is friendly and helpful.

I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. I took one dog a couple of years ago to a doctor on Central. he misdiagnosed my dog's condition. I had to purchase medicine for an eye infection. My dog continued to have issues so I took her to Boca Chica Animal Hospital. Dr. Head quickly recognized that my dog had an abscess in her tooth which needed to be removed. Her tooth had been draining causing a hole near her eye which the other doctor had said was an eye infection. Both doctors who are on staff at BCAH also treated a rescue cat that was found and was in dire need of medical attention. They were kind and helped to save the cat. My cat is alive and well.

I had an emergency because one of my dogs was sick and I couldn't take her to her veterinarian. I searched online for the closest vet and I found this one. The vet took only about three to five minutes with my dog. He did not seem to be interested. He did not ask any questions. He prescribed medicine based on what I had told the nurse. I have 4 dogs and I've been to other veterinarians and I can tell that he is not a good one. I don't recommend this place at all.

I would not recommend Boca Chica Animal Hospital if you have a cat. Its very sad that the area lacking in having vets who specializes in taking care of cats. I was hesitant to try a new vet. office, but glad I did. My experience with Boca Chica Animal Hospital has been met with great and friendly service by staff and doctors. Best vet by far. They are very caring, capable, and very knowledgeable. Pets are comfortable there. You can tell they genuinely like animals which is important to me. Also they are very reasonably priced. They don’t push for a lot of extras that you can’t afford. & it’s pretty easy to get an appointment if you need one soon. Now, I go there for anything that my pets need, except for preventative care, for that I go to the spay & neuter clinic. They seem to genuinely want what's best for our animals and are not just motivated by money. It seems like a lot of vets and doctors in this area prey on ignorant patients to try to sell them things they don't need, but not this one. We take both our dog and cat here and the vets take good care of them and the staff is friendly and helpful.
