Before taking your pet to this veterinarian, please read what I have to say. My Yorkshire terrier has died a horrible death due to Dr. Rosebrock. Not a day goes by that I’m not sick to my stomach. Thinking about what he did to my dog. It’s been about a year now and I’m finally ready to make public what he did. My Yorkshire terrier’s name was Lola. She was four years old. She was a healthy pup going in The morning I dropped her off to get spayed That afternoon, when I picked her up, was the beginning of a nightmare. I walked. I walked in the office at pick up time, and a woman comes from out of the back with my 6 pound Yorky, soaking wet and lethargic. They did not send me home with paperwork. They did not send me home with any sort of antibiotic or pain medication and that should’ve been the first red flag. After about an hour of her being home and unable to even lift her head, I called the vet up and I ask where was the discharge paperwork? What am I supposed to do? Is there anything I should be looking out for? She doesn’t seem to be doing well and they said that they do not send home dogs with pain medication, and unsure why I didn’t get any discharge paperwork. The phone call was weird. It was almost as if they were mad at me for calling. That night we go to bed and early in the morning around 3 AM I wake up, and my Yorkies eyes are rolled behind her head and she is completely out of it and not functioning. We rushed her to the emergency vet in Austin and they said that her numbers were so low. Her vitals couldn’t even pick up on the readers.. They said that she was in severe pain and they weren’t sure what was going on but that They will keep me posted. Later that morning, they called Dr. Rosebrock To try to get some more information on the surgery. Apparently they didn’t do any pre-surgery bloodwork they put her under to do the procedure and gave her vaccines Without making sure her little body could handle what they were about to do. Her body failed and couldn’t handle the stress of the procedure and the vaccines and then the pain of the procedure left untreated with no pain medication. The first time she was rushed to the emergency emergency vet in Austin. She was there for about 3 to 4 days. She came home was never really the same about three weeks later she was rushed back to the emergency vet in Austin.. She was there for a few more days and they decided that she’d have to be on a steroid for the rest of her life because her body wanted to continually shut down from the stress of the procedure. This was about 11 months ago and a few months ago, Our sweet Lola on Christmas morning died. This vet has no business working on animals. My 10 year old daughter still more the loss of her puppy, and it makes me sick to think this man is still in business. Do your research — he lost his vet license due to working on animals under the influence about a decade ago. I’m not saying that is what happened in this case, but what I am saying is that he should be shut down. I’d also like to add that he did cover both emergency vet bills in Austin which were thousands of dollars. I’m not sure if he thought I would wipe it under the rug because of that but now that she’s passed, I will never forgive him. Rest in peace sweet Lola. Read Less

Wow!! Where do I start?! This morning I took my dog to get looked at by Dr. Rosebrock, because he has developed an ugly cough. A few days ago I had taken our dog to a mobile clinic done by Dr. John Tarlton, for our pets yearly vaccines. So I brought a copy of the new vaccines with me to Rosebrock to update their records. As soon as we walked into the exam room, Rosebrock is sitting behind his desk and tells me, “You’re Fired!”. I’m thinking he’s being funny and so I kind of laugh and say, “What do you mean?”. Rosebrock asks, “Did you take your dog to go see Dr. Tarlton?”. I told him we did at the mobile clinic for vaccines. He then repeated, “You’re fired, as a client!”. I asked him, “Are you serious?”, still kind of thinking this is a joke, right?! And he told me yes, if you went to see Dr. Tarlton then we needed to leave his office now! I’m flabbergasted by this behavior! My husband asked him if he and Dr. Tarlton are enemies or something? We couldn’t understand why he would be upset over us taking our dog for immunizations elsewhere. Rosebrock said “No, not enemies, Dr. Tarlton is a bad dr, so leave!”. Ummm....ok but we brought our dog to you because he is sick....Dr. Rosebrock’s response to that was, “Well take him to Dr. Tarlton.” So embarrassed and humiliated, and worried about the health of our old dog, we have no choice but to leave. The thing is, we have been bringing our dog here to Rosebrock Vet Clinic for about 8yrs, and for him to dismiss us so unprofessionally and rude, is awful! He should have put some kind of sign up that he did not allow you to take your pet anywhere else other than him for vaccines. We didn’t know. I hate to write a bad review because I used to like him, he was somewhat cheaper than other vets, but I would rather pay more money and be treated like a human rather than deal with this lunatic.
