I adopted my Brussels Griffon from a rescue and was recommended this vet by a fellow Brussels owner. I used to go to Becker Animal Hospital which is literally the worst place in San Antonio to take your pet to. I was unaware of the reviews and bad news of that place at that time. Ever since I came here I knew I would stay here for all my doggies life. It's been years now and I still come. My dog has had 2 different surgeries and all her yearly checkups and I can tell you the prices are reasonable (all vet bills are pricy) the staff is always friendly and always remember my pups. Dr. Patton has true concern for your pet and is always helpful and friendly. I live in San Antonio and make the 45 min drive for anything my pets need because they are worth the health care and the friendliness. Read Less

I called and talked to a tech about a procedure for my pup.  She said yes they can do it and set up an appointment.  When I got there the vet said he could not do the procedure and then charged me $53.50 for his advice.  I will have to look elsewhere for animal care. Read Less

I brought my Lulu in on a Monday due to her inability to keep anything down for almost 4 days. After a few days of being there, she had to have surgery and Dr. Patin basically saved her little life. She had a blockage in her intestine and he removed it and kept her for a few more days to recover. When I went to pick her up 5 days later, I was expecting to pay more than I did and was shocked when it wasn't what I expected. Country Hills staff and Kenny have got to be some of the kindest people I know. Each time I go in I'm greeted with a smile and the best service. I have the greatest respect for Dr. Patin and the entire staff of CHVC. They always treat me and my pets with the utmost respect, courtesy and caring. Their facility is state of the art and I absolutely trust Dr. Patin's expertise. Since I am involved in local dog rescue, I also appreciate the discount they provide my fosters. My foster dogs get the exact same awesome care! Dr. Patin and his wife also rescue dogs from death row at local high kill shelters, treat them for any illness or injuries they have and then find them great homes. This speaks volumes to me and shows their true hearts. Anyone who knows them finds out very quickly that they are warm, genuine, caring people. Dr. Patin, his wife Sheli, Heather and the entire staff are the most professionsl, compassionate and caring people you could ever hope to find your take care of your pet. My pet kangaroo was in crisis for over a week. I was having difficulty securing a vet that could look at him or had time to look at him immediately. Within minutes of calling Country Hills Veterinary Clinic my call was returned by Dr. Patin himself. Within 24 hours I had been to the vet, my kangaroo had had a complete workover was diagnosed, treated and was back home and feeling better and munching on his food. My first experience was 14 years ago approximately. I have never had a bad experience. I now live in the city with a Vet about 200 yards from my house. So far I cannot complain about this place spoke to Lisa and Dana there they're both wonderful! We still have not received our puppy that is to arrive in about 2 weeks, so we're looking around for a vet in our area. We called first then drove out to meet the staff and see where the office is. The absolutely best clinic you can find in Texas. I would take my pets hear regardless of how far away I was. I interviewed four different clinics before selecting Country Hills and they have not disappointed once. They care for your animals as if they were their own. I've very surprised by the last persons review.  I board my dogs occasionally with Country Hills Vet and my bill has been less than other places I board.   They are much less than any of the 'name brand' places and they take my dogs out multiple times during the day.  They have someone that comes in during the evening hours that clean the suites and she actually spends time with the dogs.   I board my dogs in the same 'suite' and I get a discount for that, I also pick up  on Sunday, even though they don't normally allow that, but for a small fee you can pick up so your dogs don't have to stay another night away from  you.I also have a lot of their vet care done while they board,  this is of course going to cost money, but I feel better knowing that they are there if anything happens.  It is always nice to know you have a vet in the next room when you are too far away to do anything. I really appreciate the fact that they require the influenza vaccine before boarding, that way my doggies won't come home sick.I think the vet, the techs, the kennel staff are excellent.   They may not be the least expensive in town, but they are definitely not the most expensive and you have the comfort of knowing your babies are being taken care of.And just in case you are curious, I am a very very picky pet owner.  I 'interviewed' 5 different vet clinics when we first moved to town and have NEVER been disappointed in the decision that I made coming to Country Hills Veterinary Clinic. The office is beautiful and everyone there was really nice, but the prices for this vet are a bit out of line with what I was expecting to pay for vet services (exam fee was almost double my previous vet) and boarding ($10+ more per day per dog than I paid elsewhere) plus a waste disposal fee (I have never been charged that for vet services or boarding ever).  Needless to say, I was pretty shocked when I picked them up and my bill was almost double what I expected.  I'd use them again in a pinch because they were nice to the dogs but would have been better off driving a long distance to my old vet Read Less

Country Hills Vet clinic is the best! The facilities are beautiful, the office staff is incredibly caring and friendly, they always fit us in, and they give pets the best treatment possible! We have been taking our dog, Belle, there for the past two years, and she recently had some really complicated medical issues. They took us right away, and worked with us until we found a treatment option that worked best for her. She was so sick that we thought we would have to put her down, but through their care, she's back at home and better than ever! We've also boarded her there many times. We often make the reservation last minute, and they have always had room, and we don't worry about her at all because we know she's in great hands! Read Less
