I brought my rabbit here for checkups and we saw Dr. Hutton. I absolutely loved her. I felt they may make me feel silly for how much I loved my rabbit but everyone, especially Dr Hutton was so kind and caring towards him. Unfortunately, since then he passed, and even then, from the phone call to bringing him to get creamated, every one was very sympathetic. Definitely would recommend this place for small animals!! Do not use this Vet for surgery. My friends dog was killed here. They said it was from too much anesthesia. I won’t use names, because there is a current court case pending. My daughter took her puppy to this vet to get her spayed.....they gave her too much anesthesia and she died on the operating table!! My daughter was devastated taking her baby in and getting a call that she died. They killed her puppy and not taking responsibility for the horrible mistake! They need to at least pay her the $2700 that her puppy costs!! Plus she is out money for training but the worst thing is she lost her baby that she loved so much!!! I would not recommend this vet they are heartless. My daughter has been going round and round with them....she does not deserve this type treatment. I am a Realtor if I make an error I pay up! Absolutely wonderful experience! The facility is clean and the staff is very kind and knowledgeable! I took my dog here for the first time after taking him to the Animal Clinic of Farmers Branch all these years. My experiences with the two are complete opposites. I love Dr. Hutton and Dr. Vance. I have always had such great experiences there and have tried others. The most difficult time was when having to put my pet to sleep and they made it so much easier. They have a very caring spirit about them and I really appreciated it when I had lost both my cats to age/illness. They couldn't have been more supportive and I appreciated it so much! We brought in our lab mix after she dislocated her hip. The All Creatures staff was outstanding. You can tell that they absolutely love animals. Our dog felt welcomed, loved and safe through the rough weeks of her hip dislocation. I would recommend them to anyone about anything. They did everything the right way. They answered all of our questions and concerns with care. They listened. The price was fair, and they let us know everything they were doing. I absolutely love this place when I'm having to board my dog or have anything vet services done. I have a Great Dane that I have to board for work trips and she gets so excited when she sees where we are. The girls love her and are very good with how rambunctious she is. I recently changed to this vet clinic because they accept Pet Assure, but it turns out my decision ended up being more than that. I have five dogs and when it comes to their medical care, I tend to have OCD. Dr. Vance and the staff is so patient and friendly with all my questions and concerns.  They care for my fur babies so much, when they come home from grooming or Dr. appointments they are so calm and content, which is funny because they are normally hoodlums. Haha.  Additionally, thry are quick to respond via telephone and email. I strongly recommend this vet clinic if you are shopping around. Earlier in 2016, I had to schedule a last minute boarding reservation for my dog due to a falling out with a previous provider.  All Creatures was very accommodating and the experience was great.  We have been back 3-4 additional times for boarding, and each time the experience has been just as great.  The front desk personnel and boarding techs are great.  My dog is always nervous during boarding, and they are able to handle him with care and respect.  Boarding my dog is a stressful situation for both me and my dog, but All Creatures does a great job at putting my mind at ease that my dog is well taken care of.  I am also very happy with the reminders that are sent to show any vaccines or tests that are coming due and required for boarding.  I will be coming back every time that I need to board my dog. If you like your vet care expensive and your veterinarian unreasonable this place is just for you. They're much more concerned with your credit card than with your dog. When I first brought my 8-week puppy to them I supplied the dog's date of birth. The desk staff recorded it incorrectly. I told the vet this as she entered the exam room. As is the typical attitude from staffers at this facility, she ignored me. I had to all but remove the syringe from her hand when she tried to give the puppy a rabies shot 4 weeks too early. Then a year later I was provided shampoo that I was told to use weekly as a long term solution to skin allergies. When I came back 6 months later to pick up more shampoo I was told an exam was required to provide it. They really enjoy taking a $40 transaction and making it a $190 transaction via a "required visit". When I challenged this ridiculousness I was told they had to make sure his skin wasn't getting worse. Why would I request more shampoo if the condition hadn't improved? This demonstrates the real problem with this office. They don't work with you to ensure your dog is healthy. They are an obstacle to care that can only be traversed with a monetary transaction. If the vet's manner were awesome, maybe I could get over the mistakes, the rude front desk attendants, and the cost. But the vet I saw was all but lifeless. Smiling and being friendly was not her strong suit, and seemed dismissive when I asked questions. So I give this place two stars. 1 star for not killing my puppy and one for the really nice facility.Read Less

We took our cat to all creatures the past summer and were VERY disappointed. Jamie Hutton, the vet told us that our kitty had gingivitis and tartar buildup and that she needed to have a $500 surgery. Thankfully we took her to a different vet (Amanda stokes at Hebron pkwy vet hospital) who told us she's never seen a cat with healthier teeth. This before telling her what Jamie Hutton had recommended. I have a feeling there was nothing wrong with our cat and that she was making this up. Worst vet services ever!!! Unfortunately All Creatures in Plano closed down as they were great. When Plano closed I started going to Carrollton since it is the closest to my house and I believed they would be just as great as Plano. I was very wrong! My cat Marley needed a check up and I was worried because he had been throwing up every now and then and possibly drinking too much water. They took some tests and finally came to the conclusion that he had the very early stages of kidney disease. I was devastated! I was told that since he was in very early stages I just needed to change his food so this is what we did. For the next month in a half he ate nothing but his special food and it got to the point where he was barely eating so I took him back for a check up. During this check up  we had to wait quite sometime which I didn't appreciate since Marley wasn't well. Once someone finally came in she was like what are we here for today and I started to tell her. Marley had always been a pretty big boy and at this point had thinned down quite a bit in 6 weeks. The last time he was there he weighed a little over 11 lbs and now he barely weighed 9 lbs which is a lot to lose in that amount of time. The person who came in the room didn't even know he had kidney disease or that we were there 6 weeks ago. When you have a very sick pet something like that can be very upsetting! So I had to explain the whole situation to her while she found our paperwork and then she's like "oooohhh".  So the vet comes in and says he's probably not eating because he's nauseous and I should give him pepcid. Then they take him out of the room to take his temperature and all of a sudden I hear a cat screaming! And they brought him back in and just said he wasn't very happy. I had also asked about getting him set up on advantage - I think that's what it's called. The flea and tick stuff. Marley loves to go on the balcony and the vet told me this stuff would protect him from mosquitoes. I didn't want anything to keep him from going on the balcony so I had them order it. They didn't have it in stock for his size. Later I looked it up online and it specifically said on the site for advantage that their product should not be given to sick or under weight cats and at this point he was both! I cancelled the order and got a refund. The vet surely should have known this! Giving Marley the pepcid as the vet advised was not working and he was still barely eating. I gave up everything the vet said and started feeding him his old food with Blue Wilderness - wet in the morning and night and dry in between and he's been eating normally since then so it couldn't have had anything to do with nausea! When I'm nauseous I don't eat anything! He just didn't want that crappy special food any more! He's finally gained some weight back and I'm going to take him to a different (better) vet for a check up now that he's more stable. He seems to be doing a lot better but I want to make sure! This was our first visit with a rescue from east Texas, and our two current pups for updated shots, we totally love the attention and detail and though sometimes we waited awhile, the detailed report cards, shot records and follow up recommendations were well worth it! The nails were trimmed too!! But the attention, concern, and detail was superb! We love Dr. Hutton she was so awesome! And her assistant Dr. Kabriri was very helpful and he was way cool in actually showing us how to treat little Henry's ears! If I would have written this review 6 months ago, it would have been a very different review.  My dog and I have been going to All Creatures Veterinary Center for a few years now.  We have used all services they provide including veterinary services, boarding, and grooming.  To be clear, this review is not regarding grooming as Betty is fabulous and my dog loves her!  Also, this is specifically for the Carrollton clinic as the clinic that was briefly in Plano and its staff were beyond wonderful.  I travel frequently and unfortunately, I have to board my dog quite often.  Yesterday marked the second time my dog has been seriously ill or had serious complications--an anal glad exploded under the care and watch of their facility.  He had been there for 6 days.  He had just had his annual check-up two months prior.  I've been a very loyal customer, but I will be finding a new vet after the news I received yesterday and spending $600 in two months on a typically very healthy dog.  My dog is my family and deserves the best of care--I would give this facility 0 stars if I could. Had to wait 30 minutes before I told the receptionist I had been waiting a long time without even a technician coming in. The receptionist was rude back to me and told me there were other appointments going on. I'm well aware you're busy but don't make your clients feel unwelcome and like they aren't important. I've also worked at a vet clinic for a year and not once would we make someone sit in the room without communicating that they were busy and needed me to wait. Once the tech came in, she kept asking the same questions that I had already answered as if she hadn't been paying attention in the first place. Then I had to help the tech restrain my own pet just while she took the temp. She didn't even try to actually do her job other than putting the thermometer in her butt. Very disappointed. When my Mom passed away, I was left with her 18 year old cat, who was badly in need of grooming. It is extremely difficult to find a vet clinic who will groom cats. I was pleasantly surprised to find out their clinic had a doctor who also groomed cats. They did not have to sedate Charlie and did annual tests as well as the grooming. I was so pleased with their treatment and care of Charlie. He was a long-haired cat and groomed to look like a lion with mane and boots...so cute. I have always found the staff to be helpful. The care that my cat kids receive is awesome. My elder cat was always treated like the queen she was, and her medical care focused on her quality of life, which is what I wanted. Treatment options were always explained but I never felt pressure to subject her to invasive treatments. Dr. Middendorf and the staff were so kind when her time came and she was surrounded by caring and loving people. I take 2 of my kids to the Windhaven location and I love the staff. Lisa is always professional, but it's her willingness to always go the extra mile that brings me to the clinic. The techs are professional and kind. We first brought our 9 year old cat here for a visit to establish in Tx from Oregon.  They were wonderful, friendly and didn't try to sell us a bunch of flea medicine and the like for our strictly indoor cat.We adopted a new friend for the cat - a dog and we brought him in a few days after his arrival.  They declared him healthy and happy.  We take him back regularly now to have his nails trimmed and they always know him and his little funny quirks. I have never in my life wrote a review for a company although I do like the phone calls that ask how service was and love to give praises to people who are great. I am a happy positive person and dont like to be negative.HOWEVER!!!!!!!!Be warned I currently as of last week May 23rd went to All creatures to explore new Vet's becuase I love my guys Buddy & Bentley but have always used Banfield and I wasnt them to have the best. Banfield has for the most part always been great but when my little guy Bently needed 14 baby teeth removed their quote was a little high.So this brought me to see whatelse is out there. So I called All Creatures to get a quote and they asked me to come in which I did. The Vet in training came in and was very polite. I told him about the Banfield quote and that I was shopping for a new vet and asked for a quote from them. I specified 3 times that I dont like being upsold everytime I go in a place or have surprises I didnt approve when I pick up. Like all of us our money is meaningful and we work hard for it. So I asked and asked that when he give me a quote it be as accurate as possible. He came back minutes later with the quotes with a low range of 565.00 and high range if I wanted certain things of 778.00. I like the price and told him I would opt out of the more expensive things that were optional and lets set an appointment.I have the quote in hand and today was the appoinment and I even called yesterday to verify everything so no surprises. I get there early and a small wait but no biggie. They bring me in a room to review again and laid a quote down with a low of 950.00 and high of over 1,000.00 which of course is a huge difference. Its not like its just 50.00 dollars I would have paid that but 400.00+ is out there especially after repeating to them the day I visited for the quote that is wouldnt happen.I told the nurse that there is a mistake she left me for 15 minutes came back and basically nothing was done!!!!!!!! In my business if someone especailly someone with authority gives you a qoute and they mess up which they said it was their mistake. Then you would think it would be honored with what I show on paper however it was sorry nothing we can do. Now I have not let my little guy eat since the night before to prep for surgery. I took off the morning from my office which isnt a big deal butthen drove out of the way to be there on time to be told sorry our mistake but oh well.......Dont let this happen to you!!!!!!!Thanks Robert Read Less

I am so happy that I was referred to this veterinary clinic! I have two boston terriers in my family and they were due for full check ups, updated shots, etc. Plus, one of the bostons had developed an infection in both of her ears.The technicians were professional, kind, sincerely animal lovers and cared deeply for each individual pet.The environment was clean, modern, comfortable, and felt very 'spa-like'.The prices were reasonable in contrast of the amazing service and professionalism and highly educated and experienced staff.I would highly recommend bringing your pet family members for their regular visits here! We visited All Creatures this past weekend, after adopting our Yorkie, Reggie, from my Mom.Reggie needed some help with a mild infection on his back, some allergy meds for TX allergies (he was a New Englander before) and overall misc health stuff (Heartgard, check-up, etc).  I could tell Reggie was in good hands the minute we stepped inside. The staff at All Creatures were very friendly, and very accommodating. Both the vet assistant, and the vet (Dr. Middendorf), were both extremely helpful answering all of our questions, making recommendations, and explaining things in terms we could understand.We also really love that All Creatures offers grooming and boarding services too...a one-stop-shop is quite convenient!I would highly recommend All Creatures to any pet owner that wants great care for their little buddy. Unfortunately this review is prompted by sad news. My cat was diagnosed with intestinal lymphoma yesterday by Dr. Watson at All Creatures Veterinary Center. I have been to this pet hospital several times over the last 6 months while we were trying to diagnose her illness. Each visit was good, although I feel the support staff always comes across a little cold and impersonal. I don't recall ever receiving a smile from any of the young ladies at the front desk. Also, while I appreciate the fact that they are computerized throughout the office, after getting the news that I did yesterday the last thing I wanted to do was stand around in the exam room for 15 minutes while the doctor typed everything into the computer. They should have a better way to handle that type of situation. I have a distant background in animal care, so I feel I am able to speak to this feel on an inside level. Prior to 1994 I worked as a veterinary hospital manager. This was a position I worked my way up to - starting as a kennel cleaner and being cross-trained in all fields of veterinary service. Overall, I had 10+ years in the animal care field. I think the doctors are knowledgeable and kind. Dr. Watson appeared sincerely sympathetic and did a very good job of explaining the diagnosis, possible treatments, and prognosis. I might go back to this hospital in the future, because I liked Dr. Watson, but I am just as tempted to look for veterinary care that seems a little bit warmer and kindhearted. Read Less

Nearly a year and 7 months ago I received a mouse for a gift, I wasn't exactly savvy in matters of the mouse, but decided not to let her die. After awhile she grew on me and I learned to love her and I love her very much. I took my mouse, Lil' One, here when she began chewing her tail (she was drawing blood) and losing her fur. I had no idea what to do and hardly ANY veterinaries in the area deal with "exotic" pets/small animals - such as mice. Anyhow, my mouse is old, over a year and a half (they don't live long) and I was afraid they were going to just tell me to put her "down." I found this place and Dr. Middendorf (I believe that's how it's spelled) helped me immensely. It took a few "injections" to get Lil' One back on her feet, but they didn't give up on her and I appreciate that. The staff was very nice and they offer you a bottle of water while you're waiting (or coke, whatever floats your boat), it's a very comfortable environment. Oh, and while I was waiting for them to return with my mouse, they let me watch Finding Nemo, how cool is that? :) I highly recommend this place to anyone with pets! Read Less
