This vet has the lowest prices in the area! My cat had to have surgery on a broken leg and all other vets quoted me $1500 and up! I have Pet Assure and with my 25% discount it went from $1165 to $865!...

The staff is also great! The veterinarian however seems a bit stressed out compared to the other vets I have worked with in the past. She was grouchy every time we came in..3 times. Seems like they could really use an additional vet to remove some of the strain off of the one vet there. Emergencies always take priority over scheduled appointments because of the one vet. The surgeon Dr. Roberts is great explaining post op care. They are really concerned about your animals health and recovery. I must have texted them a dozen times one day with questions and they were very patient with me and responded to all of my texts.
They also refuse to euthanize a healthy animal that can be healed. I admire them for that!
Take your furry friends to Noahs Ark for lots of love and compassion!
They are closed on Wednesday and Sunday.

The staff here have a very dysfunctional relationship. I took my dog here last year as we were new to the area and needed a new vet. The veterinarian was very thorough, but she was snappy with her staff in a way that made me uncomfortable. I have since found a new vet and they are worth the extended travel time. However, my new vet has stopped carrying my preferred heart worm medication and I have been calling around town in order to find it. I don't know why, but I called Noah's Ark. Receptionist is very rude. She constantly engaged someone else in the office while I was talking, then made it seem as though I was holding up the conversation. She made it very clear how long it has been since they have seen my dog and how I didn't return their mailed documents. She was off-putting and not at all welcoming. I refrained from arguing with this woman over the phone, but thought I would warn others before they call or wander in.
TLDR; the vet is very good, doesn't get along with her staff and you won't either.

My sheltie is extremely timid with separation anxiety but she loves the staff and they always make her comfortable.
Best of all, VERY AFFORDABLE!
I currently live in Houston but I travel to DFW very often year round. I always take my dogs with me and schedule their appointments around my traveling. They take wonderful care of my wolf pack and always work with my budget. I couldn't be more grateful for the staff there!

This veterinary hospital has without any doubt the worst customer service I have ever experienced. When trying to get an appointment for a rescued dog who has been seen here before and was sick the receptionist was extremely rude from the beginning; She will mock you and laugh at you. The veterinarian had done an extremely poor job with this dog when she had seen her before, however I just gave them the benefit of the doubt and just assumed that they were having a bad day- it happens! However I now know that is not the case with this clinic. As someone who works in the pet care industry and the customer service industry I will never recommend anyone to this clinic for any reason.

Lack of respect and lack of customer service, there are better ways to treat a customer and help find a solution to the problem. Being here my second time feels like someone took a hot rod and shoved it up my ass.
Dr. Kapp, not only are you the most insincere doctor I've ever met (I work in surgery) you are also abrasive, unprofessional and condescending in your speech. This is our second time coming here.
Our first appointment started on time and thats the only thing to brag about. Our second time we waited 45 min. I had to step out and ask if everything was okay before getting someone to attend us. Dr. Kapp was aware we were waiting since your sad little thing you call an "exam room" is made out of paper thin walls. You might want to keep that in mind.
Dr Kapp your entire "team" at Noahs ark is chaotic and ineffective when it comes to providing services.
I urge everyone to seek treatment for your loved ones somewhere else.
A professional establishment that will respect you as a consumer and most importantly your beloved pets.

Never taking my pet there.

Visited here for the first time yesterday to take my new feline friend in for her kitty cold. They were very kind and courteous as well as prompt in seeing me. I was able to get an appointment same day so my new adoptee can start getting better that much sooner. They even gave her the first dose of medicine. Definitely would recommend them, especially given their affordable cost for care.

I do agree with some of the stuff written by the other yelpers, but overall, my experience was good. Yes the place is a little run down, the staff seems new, there is a cat just roaming around, I'm not sure if I ever saw the vet (him / her)? Pre or post, not sure who I was meeting with, no one introduced themselves as the vet.But the price point was pretty good. I tried to call another discount teeth cleaning for pets, and they said my dog was too old. Now, I'll be honest, my dog's teeth weren't in the best shape, and it seemed to start to decay. I got a few quotes around Carrollton and this seemed to be the overall cheapest. Most places are charging about $75 for blood work and about $200 for cleaning, drugs, anesthesia. Noah's Ark - Approximately $150-175 for cleaning and that includes blood work, and everything else. The only thing isn't included is extractions. My dog ended up needing about 5 teeth pulled, and we only got charged for what was deemed difficult teeth (3) @ $30 a piece. My fiancé is a dentist, so I get it, wasn't arguing there. They gave me a few follow up calls to see how we were doing. My dog seems to be doing good and her breath smells good (only cleaning of her life 9-10 years).Can't complain that much!

My dog has had 2 post surgery complications because of the job they did spaying her. I never saw or spoke to the vet. I wasn't offered pain medications when I picked up my dog, & I paid extra after asking for them -- which I didn't mind paying. However, had I not known to ask, they would have simply let my dog suffer. Additionally, my dog was vomiting for 10 hours after anesthesia, which could have been from the medications they used, or simply that my dog reacts poorly to anesthesia. Please don't take your dog to this vet!

I started going to Noah's Ark Pet Hospitals 6 years ago. I took my older dog there for all her shots and vaccinations, great prices and within walking distance to my apartment.
We then moved to Frisco, my dog started to get a horrible allergic skin reaction to something in our new area. Went to a very high scale vet in the Frisco area, took her several times to get whatever was causing her to lose all her hair and her skin had become so dry take she would scream when we toughed her.
Every time we went to the vet they gave me anywhere from $200-$300 in medicines and creams to use on her. In the end they never could figure it out and suggested now that she had lost some much weight and was getting sicker to put her to sleep. With a heavy heart we didn't want her to suffer anymore.
Fast forward two years and her son started to show the same signs of the skin allergy. I decide to go back to Noah's Ark and they gave him a $15 shot and he was better with days. And once a year I have to get him this shot when he starts showing the signs again. Now I wonder if I had taken his mom to Noah's Ark instead of the big fancy vet in Frisco would she still be alive today. I don€t know about everyone else experiences but I will NOT take my dogs anywhere else but Noah€s Ark Pet Hospital.
They have amazing prices, hours, and staff. I would highly recommend them to anyone who will listen. The proof is my dogs and the fact that history didn€t have to repeat itself.

I came to Noah's Ark to have my pet spayed because this is the vet who is affiliated with the rescue organization through which I recently adopted a puppy. The rescue org recommended that I use them for spaying and chipping.. What a mistake. When I dropped my puppy off, the facility seemed dated, but I thought that was just because it was old. When I picked her up later that day, some doors to the back area were open, and I saw that not only was the facility old and dated -- it was dirty and seemed unsanitary, which gave me a very bad feeling. A few days into her recovery, I took her to our regular vet --my girl had an infection and had to be put on strong antibiotics. Her incision looks like it was done by a butcher. I will never set foot into Noah's Ark again. I never even saw the vet much less speak with her. The staff, too, was a mixed bag. The receptionist, who said she was new, was nice, but the senior front office staffer was borderline surly. Low cost doesn't have to mean low customer care. Go someplace else, even if it costs a little more -- your pet deserves it. Learn from my mistake.

My only negative comment is one of the office staff people is a very difficult person to deal with, she has lots of attitude and I get the impression she is not happy with her job or dealing with people in a professional manner. I was a bit disappointed when they didn't even apologize for or acknowledge a mistake on their behalf...all I can say is that if it was a human child....it'd be considered malpractice. Thank God my dog is fine, but they didn't even offer to give me a credit for blunder. We will not be going back.

Trust me they were bad.2) Above comments so true....dirty dirty dirty3) Front office....clueless and unprofessional. I walk in to 3 ladies in the front. All say "hello" and that was it. Explained my dog had an appointment. Not sure who to look at or talk to....finally after like 5 awkward minutes...someone had an idea.4) I was asked if he was up to date on his vaccinations....I had brought them from previous vet in August...it is Nov....did they take time to make a copy...or even notes? How will they know when he is due...5) Vet asst went to draw blood....missed two times. Went and got another asst. Who drew from neck...I watched as they painfully missed and moved needle around for what seemed like an eternity. Come on...if yall don't know what your are doing...do not do it. And maybe take the dog to the back so the owner doesn't have to watch you in your inability.Is it cheap...YES....is this the place you expect to see on CNN for some disgusting business and animal conditions. Lets put it this way. The girl who drew blood...got my dogs blood on her. She disappeared for at least 2 minutes...and came up to check me out with blood still on her hands. Really? Really?Spend the money....cause I am going to have nightmares for months! NEVER AGAIN

They saved my dog's life.My dog tested positive for heartworm and I was devasted. As a student my funds are very limited and heartworm treatment can be extremely expensive. I had been searching for 30 minutes and found them online. I called and they gave me an affordable price and managed to inform me about CareCredit. I have been taking my dog there ever since. They have affordable prices and the staff is very friendly. Because of the community they serve, they do not have the most modern space, but they take care of my dog and he loves them--so I have no complaints.

I told her I wasn't comfortable doing that and felt like he would move during the shot. Her reaction was to keep showing me and her nails were so long it could have made it onto the guinness world record (unsafe). Didn't really wear gloves. Finally, she just kind of rolled her eyes and held him down herself.The Vet seemed disconnected and uninterested. She was very short with us and barely did anything. Didn't seem like she was listening to us.However, I give them 2 stars (instead of 1) because after we went home we realized that my dog had a moderate-severe reaction to the vaccination. They were about to close but waited for us to come in so they could check him out and give him a steroid shot to calm down the reaction. But when I got in there (after speaking to them on the phone) they thought my dog was a cat? They didn't even have anything ready and barely even pulled up his file (even though they knew we were coming in and it was serious). I guess I still appreciate that they waited and he did MUCH better once we got home. The place seemed dirty and unsanitary. Their cat was just roaming around free in the lobby/waiting area. My dog was going nuts. Cat kept coming real close to our dog carrier and even went into it when my dog was in the exam room.Really?If you care about your pet, please be cautious about bringing them to this place.

But what I think should've taken an hour or less, took about two and half. And I never met the doctor, only a vet tech.Service is terrible. One of the staff ladies was very nice, but didn't seem to know what she was doing, and the other front desk lady has been rude to me and other clients on multiple occasions. She acted like you were an idiot if you asked her any questions. Including questions on information that SHE should have already given you.While I know they bring shedding animals in and out all the time, the waiting room is really dirty. We took our pup there to get neutered and they neglected to inform me that he would need pain pills/anti-inflammatory and anti-biotics and didn't give them to me, and they didn't tell me he would need to come back to get his stitches out. Again. Terrible service. I'm a first time dog owner. These are things I don't know unless you tell me. After all this, our dog ended up getting an infection, and theres a really good chance he got it there. (makes me so mad!)I have not returned to Noah's Ark and have no intention to. I started going to VCA (yelp.com/biz/vca-preston…) and they have been incredible with everything and has made up for everything Noah's Ark did.

This vet has the lowest prices in the area! My cat had to have surgery on a broken leg and all other vets quoted me $1500 and up! I have Pet Assure and with my 25% discount it went from $1165 to $865!...

The staff is also great! The veterinarian however seems a bit stressed out compared to the other vets I have worked with in the past. She was grouchy every time we came in..3 times. Seems like they could really use an additional vet to remove some of the strain off of the one vet there. Emergencies always take priority over scheduled appointments because of the one vet. The surgeon Dr. Roberts is great explaining post op care. They are really concerned about your animals health and recovery. I must have texted them a dozen times one day with questions and they were very patient with me and responded to all of my texts.
They also refuse to euthanize a healthy animal that can be healed. I admire them for that!
Take your furry friends to Noahs Ark for lots of love and compassion!

The staff here have a very dysfunctional relationship. I took my dog here last year as we were new to the area and needed a new vet. The veterinarian was very thorough, but she was snappy with her staff in a way that made me uncomfortable. I have since found a new vet and they are worth the extended travel time. However, my new vet has stopped carrying my preferred heart worm medication and I have been calling around town in order to find it. I don't know why, but I called Noah's Ark. Receptionist is very rude. She constantly engaged someone else in the office while I was talking, then made it seem as though I was holding up the conversation. She made it very clear how long it has been since they have seen my dog and how I didn't return their mailed documents. She was off-putting and not at all welcoming. I refrained from arguing with this woman over the phone, but thought I would warn others before they call or wander in.
TLDR; the vet is very good, doesn't get along with her staff and you won't either.

My sheltie is extremely timid with separation anxiety but she loves the staff and they always make her comfortable.
Best of all, VERY AFFORDABLE!
I currently live in Houston but I travel to DFW very often year round. I always take my dogs with me and schedule their appointments around my traveling. They take wonderful care of my wolf pack and always work with my budget. I couldn't be more grateful for the staff there!

This veterinary hospital has without any doubt the worst customer service I have ever experienced. When trying to get an appointment for a rescued dog who has been seen here before and was sick the receptionist was extremely rude from the beginning; She will mock you and laugh at you. The veterinarian had done an extremely poor job with this dog when she had seen her before, however I just gave them the benefit of the doubt and just assumed that they were having a bad day- it happens! However I now know that is not the case with this clinic. As someone who works in the pet care industry and the customer service industry I will never recommend anyone to this clinic for any reason.

Lack of respect and lack of customer service, there are better ways to treat a customer and help find a solution to the problem. Being here my second time feels like someone took a hot rod and shoved it up my ass.
Dr. Kapp, not only are you the most insincere doctor I've ever met (I work in surgery) you are also abrasive, unprofessional and condescending in your speech. This is our second time coming here.
Our first appointment started on time and thats the only thing to brag about. Our second time we waited 45 min. I had to step out and ask if everything was okay before getting someone to attend us. Dr. Kapp was aware we were waiting since your sad little thing you call an "exam room" is made out of paper thin walls. You might want to keep that in mind.
Dr Kapp your entire "team" at Noahs ark is chaotic and ineffective when it comes to providing services.
I urge everyone to seek treatment for your loved ones somewhere else.
A professional establishment that will respect you as a consumer and most importantly your beloved pets.

I do agree with some of the stuff written by the other yelpers, but overall, my experience was good. Yes the place is a little run down, the staff seems new, there is a cat just roaming around, I'm not sure if I ever saw the vet (him / her)? Pre or post, not sure who I was meeting with, no one introduced themselves as the vet.But the price point was pretty good. I tried to call another discount teeth cleaning for pets, and they said my dog was too old. Now, I'll be honest, my dog's teeth weren't in the best shape, and it seemed to start to decay. I got a few quotes around Carrollton and this seemed to be the overall cheapest. Most places are charging about $75 for blood work and about $200 for cleaning, drugs, anesthesia. Noah's Ark - Approximately $150-175 for cleaning and that includes blood work, and everything else. The only thing isn't included is extractions. My dog ended up needing about 5 teeth pulled, and we only got charged for what was deemed difficult teeth (3) @ $30 a piece. My fiancé is a dentist, so I get it, wasn't arguing there. They gave me a few follow up calls to see how we were doing. My dog seems to be doing good and her breath smells good (only cleaning of her life 9-10 years).Can't complain that much!

My dog has had 2 post surgery complications because of the job they did spaying her. I never saw or spoke to the vet. I wasn't offered pain medications when I picked up my dog, & I paid extra after asking for them -- which I didn't mind paying. However, had I not known to ask, they would have simply let my dog suffer. Additionally, my dog was vomiting for 10 hours after anesthesia, which could have been from the medications they used, or simply that my dog reacts poorly to anesthesia. Please don't take your dog to this vet!

I started going to Noah's Ark Pet Hospitals 6 years ago. I took my older dog there for all her shots and vaccinations, great prices and within walking distance to my apartment.
We then moved to Frisco, my dog started to get a horrible allergic skin reaction to something in our new area. Went to a very high scale vet in the Frisco area, took her several times to get whatever was causing her to lose all her hair and her skin had become so dry take she would scream when we toughed her.
Every time we went to the vet they gave me anywhere from $200-$300 in medicines and creams to use on her. In the end they never could figure it out and suggested now that she had lost some much weight and was getting sicker to put her to sleep. With a heavy heart we didn't want her to suffer anymore.
Fast forward two years and her son started to show the same signs of the skin allergy. I decide to go back to Noah's Ark and they gave him a $15 shot and he was better with days. And once a year I have to get him this shot when he starts showing the signs again. Now I wonder if I had taken his mom to Noah's Ark instead of the big fancy vet in Frisco would she still be alive today. I don€t know about everyone else experiences but I will NOT take my dogs anywhere else but Noah€s Ark Pet Hospital.
They have amazing prices, hours, and staff. I would highly recommend them to anyone who will listen. The proof is my dogs and the fact that history didn€t have to repeat itself.

I came to Noah's Ark to have my pet spayed because this is the vet who is affiliated with the rescue organization through which I recently adopted a puppy. The rescue org recommended that I use them for spaying and chipping.. What a mistake. When I dropped my puppy off, the facility seemed dated, but I thought that was just because it was old. When I picked her up later that day, some doors to the back area were open, and I saw that not only was the facility old and dated -- it was dirty and seemed unsanitary, which gave me a very bad feeling. A few days into her recovery, I took her to our regular vet --my girl had an infection and had to be put on strong antibiotics. Her incision looks like it was done by a butcher. I will never set foot into Noah's Ark again. I never even saw the vet much less speak with her. The staff, too, was a mixed bag. The receptionist, who said she was new, was nice, but the senior front office staffer was borderline surly. Low cost doesn't have to mean low customer care. Go someplace else, even if it costs a little more -- your pet deserves it. Learn from my mistake.

I was a bit disappointed when they didn't even apologize for or acknowledge a mistake on their behalf...all I can say is that if it was a human child....it'd be considered malpractice. Thank God my dog is fine, but they didn't even offer to give me a credit for blunder. We will not be going back.

Trust me they were bad.2) Above comments so true....dirty dirty dirty3) Front office....clueless and unprofessional. I walk in to 3 ladies in the front. All say "hello" and that was it. Explained my dog had an appointment. Not sure who to look at or talk to....finally after like 5 awkward minutes...someone had an idea.4) I was asked if he was up to date on his vaccinations....I had brought them from previous vet in August...it is Nov....did they take time to make a copy...or even notes? How will they know when he is due...5) Vet asst went to draw blood....missed two times. Went and got another asst. Who drew from neck...I watched as they painfully missed and moved needle around for what seemed like an eternity. Come on...if yall don't know what your are doing...do not do it. And maybe take the dog to the back so the owner doesn't have to watch you in your inability.Is it cheap...YES....is this the place you expect to see on CNN for some disgusting business and animal conditions. Lets put it this way. The girl who drew blood...got my dogs blood on her. She disappeared for at least 2 minutes...and came up to check me out with blood still on her hands. Really? Really?Spend the money....cause I am going to have nightmares for months! NEVER AGAIN

I had been searching for 30 minutes and found them online. I called and they gave me an affordable price and managed to inform me about CareCredit. I have been taking my dog there ever since. They have affordable prices and the staff is very friendly. Because of the community they serve, they do not have the most modern space, but they take care of my dog and he loves them--so I have no complaints.

Brought my dog in to get some vaccinations updated and for a check up since my dog was having very soft stool.The tech made me hold my dog down during the shot (he was being difficult). I told her I wasn't comfortable doing that and felt like he would move during the shot. Her reaction was to keep showing me and her nails were so long it could have made it onto the guinness world record (unsafe). Didn't really wear gloves. Finally, she just kind of rolled her eyes and held him down herself.The Vet seemed disconnected and uninterested. She was very short with us and barely did anything. Didn't seem like she was listening to us.However, I give them 2 stars (instead of 1) because after we went home we realized that my dog had a moderate-severe reaction to the vaccination. They were about to close but waited for us to come in so they could check him out and give him a steroid shot to calm down the reaction. But when I got in there (after speaking to them on the phone) they thought my dog was a cat? They didn't even have anything ready and barely even pulled up his file (even though they knew we were coming in and it was serious). I guess I still appreciate that they waited and he did MUCH better once we got home. The place seemed dirty and unsanitary. Their cat was just roaming around free in the lobby/waiting area. My dog was going nuts. Cat kept coming real close to our dog carrier and even went into it when my dog was in the exam room.Really?If you care about your pet, please be cautious about bringing them to this place.

TO NOT MENTION THIS BUT MY OTHER LITTLE DOG WHOM WAS BOARDED WITH MERLIN HAS A HOLE OR BITE MARK IN HIS NECK! !!!! OPEN WOUND

I completely agree with the review below from a yahoo user. I went on a Saturday for lower priced shots for our two puppies (!) and it was worth it. But what I think should've taken an hour or less, took about two and half. And I never met the doctor, only a vet tech.Service is terrible. One of the staff ladies was very nice, but didn't seem to know what she was doing, and the other front desk lady has been rude to me and other clients on multiple occasions. She acted like you were an idiot if you asked her any questions. Including questions on information that SHE should have already given you.While I know they bring shedding animals in and out all the time, the waiting room is really dirty. We took our pup there to get neutered and they neglected to inform me that he would need pain pills/anti-inflammatory and anti-biotics and didn't give them to me, and they didn't tell me he would need to come back to get his stitches out. Again. Terrible service. I'm a first time dog owner. These are things I don't know unless you tell me. After all this, our dog ended up getting an infection, and theres a really good chance he got it there. (makes me so mad!)I have not returned to Noah's Ark and have no intention to. I started going to VCA (yelp.com/biz/vca-preston…) and they have been incredible with everything and has made up for everything Noah's Ark did.
