Best veterinary clinic I've ever used. My Little ones see Dr. Miller almost exclusively for around 15 years. I always get a no-nonsense rundown of what's going on with the pups and presented all the facts before being allowed to make my own decisions on doggy healthcare. I never feel like I'm being manipulated into running unnecessary expensive tests like has happened at other clinics. I'll never use another vet clinic as long as I'm in the Austin area. Read Less

Also, the, last time, I ,tried, to get, my dog groomed, at the Premier day spa and resort,right behind the vet hospital, I was told that, everyone, who has their dog groomed there,has to bring, the animal, in, early in the morning. My cat had a urinary tract infection. Completely blocked the bladder almost burst. Needless to say he was in the vets hospital for 6 days I thought it would cost me over 1,000 dollars. It cost me around 650. The staff was super nice. Called me everyday before close to let me know how he was doing. Took great care of him saved his life. They did everything they could for my dog before saying that she was in too much pain and we had to put her down. It was humane conditions. When they put Dusty down, they even asked if we wanted to come back. They had lots of tissues and let you spend time with your dog before putting them down. There was a very nice waiting room. Dusty was afraid of other dogs and she had plenty of room underneath the chairs. It was so cute. But she loved her doctor and surprisingly wasn't afraid of her. Please take your pets here. So my coworkers and I all live in South Austin, but we always make the trip up to Premier to see Dr. Hamby! I can't say enough good things about him. He's knowledgeable, compassionate, and I know he genuinely cares for my Eleanor Roosevelt. And having an English Bulldog- they need a little extra TLC! Another one of my friends had Dr. Hamby come to their home to send their precious pup across the rainbow bridge and he was professional and more than happy to make the trip for them. When our little furry family members are at Premier, we know they are in good hands. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this hospital for your 4 digit friend. If I could give 0 stars I would.   I brought my healthy dog there for not eating, which turned out to be b/c of a treatable disease.  However, they over hydrated him, which caused serious breathing problems and he had to go to the emergency hospital.  When transferring him, the dr said that he washed his hands of what happened next with my dog....who died because of his lack of caring.  Stay away and do not take your furry family members to these so called "vets".  They clearly are in it for the money only and do not care about the animals (or their owners) at all - just the money.   Please do not make the mistake I did. We've used Premier for several years for everything from routine shots to not so routine surgeries. We have seen many of the vets including Dr. Hamby, Dr. Daigle, Dr. Miller and Dr. Rabon, all of whom were knowledgeable and kind. The vets at Premier have the "textbook" knowledge to explain the how's and why's but more importantly they use prior experience and observations to provide a practical approach to treatments. I recently adopted a dog from Texas Humane a Heroes. I realized that the dog had tape worms. After getting the number from a friend I called to get an appointment. From the first person I contacted, to the Vet tech and the Vet herself, I cannot say enough great things. They were able to get me right in, answered all my questions as a new dog owner and put my mind at ease. The facility is beautiful and clean. Dr Beauchamp was so great. Took my Lucy in for her shots yesterday and as usual it was great! The staff is great, you can really tell they love animals!! I received prompt attention right at appointment time and was out and on my way in no time!! Love this place! We've been taking our pets to Premier since 2011. Currently we have two dogs which are seen by Dr. Hamby. Dr Hamby always takes the time to explain the care, medications, procedures or just the overall health of our dogs. He is an awesome vet. From the reception area to vet techs, they are kind and helpful. Our pets also use Premier Resort & Day Spa for relaxing while we're away on vacations and for grooming. Highly recommend Premier. We have 3 pups who all provide their own challenges but our oldest girl, 13, is the reason I love Premier and Dr Rabon. She developed sudden onset diabetes a little over 2 years ago and I credit Dr Rabon for her still being with us. Her diabetes came on so fast and so strong that we almost lost her but he helped us get her stable quickly and helped us keep her healthy despite many challenges the last two years. She has bad anxiety about going to the vet office so he comes to our house (who does that?!?!?) whenever we need him. She needs glucose curves and so he taught us how to do them at home so she wouldn't be stressed out. When she stopped eating, he just got on the phone and talked about ideas to get her eating again - no charge, no required visit, just a caring animal lover helping keep my baby alive and healthy. We've talked about what will come one day and he's made it clear that he'll come to her when she needs him. My youngest pup was diagnosed with mange when we adopted him as he was missing a lot of hair. Another doc also said mange and upped his medication dosage as his hair wasn't growing back. Dr Rabon took one look at him (we had a visit to update immunizations) and pretty much the first words he said were "you know your dog has a food allergy, right?" and I was like "what are you taking about??" We stopped the medication and did food elimination testing. Voila. Pup is terribly allergic to wheat. Healthy as can be now. I can't thank Dr Rabon enough for what he does for our family. If you are looking for someone to take great care of your four legged family members, I highly recommend Rabon. Just don't like him so much that he doesn't have time for my home visits!! :) Read Less

Many of you probably don't know but we had to come to the very difficult decision to put one of your beloved pugs down. Phoebe was very old and her hips had finally given out and her ability to live a full and active life as a dog had all but stopped. I can not say enough good things about Premier. Every single person we have met there has been exceptional, and they take excellent care of our girls. We have been seeing Dr. Daigle since day one, and even my skittish rescue who was previously abused loves him.  I've never had any difficulty getting an appointment and the wait (if I even have to wait!) is very short.In 2014 one of my dogs was lost while in the care of a doggy daycare close to Premier. While searching for her we stopped to let the staff at Premier know so they could keep a look out. Luckily we found her that night, but I got a call from Premier the next morning to inquire if we found her and to see if we needed any help looking for her.  That meant so much to me and my husband that they cared so much for our girls.I would highly recommend Premier Animal Hospital to anyone who has pets! Stopped in to pick up Bravecto a single dose med to keep creepy crawlers away externally and internally for canines. A dose is good for 90 days.The team here is awesome and Dr. Todd Rabon is a great veterinarian. He's very kind and gets right down to ground level to make an exam easier on the patient. Both of our 4 legged children look forward to going and really enjoy the hugs and petting and attention they get while they are there. The reception staff go above and beyond and keep the traffic flow such that you are shown to an exam room almost immediately upon arrival.We have gone to Premier ever since they opened and can attest to the consistent dedication and devotion of everyone that works there.  They have an attached spa and kennel which I will review separately but suffice it to say the extension of the team members there have proven excellent as well. Offers a variety of vet services, a bit on the pricier side But they do price match on products i.e. Heart guard , trifexis. They are affiliated with the 24 hour vet behind freddys on chisohlm. It's the same owner. Today I took my dog at 6:04pm to be seen due to a limp, on the website it states they close at 7pm. The vet tech said "the doctors leave at 6pm but let me check if there is one back there who can see your dog." (Of course he knew there was a vet back there but needed his approval ) He came back and said there are no doctors available. I work in healthcare and know there was a doctor there since it was 6:04p but he couldn't spend 5 mins to look at my dog, so now we have to come back tomorrow. I know with people I don't turn them back after 4 mins passed my shift. It's sad that you trust and have faith that your vet will take care of your animal but can't spend 5mins with my pet. We have tried several vet clinics in the greater Austin area. We LOVE this hospital and every doctor we have seen. They are willing to take as much time as you need and will gladly explain everything until you are satisfied! Their hours are good too! We have 3 goldens and a Bengal cat and feel totally comfortable with the care they receive. All of the staff are concerned and responsive. Even the front office staff and the vet techs are great.
