Be wary, they give a $10 discount for a review. Pretty sure that's how they've gotten a good rating. They took our dog's staples out too soon after major surgery and her incision instantly opened back up. Then with the compromised tissue they've had to go back and re-staple her twice, which by a second opinion was not recommended. She's an older dog that takes longer to heal and they should've known that. Her follow-ups will be done elsewhere.
Update: I've been a lot happier with them the past few times I've gone back. Staff seems to constantly change up front but really like the vet and surgeon. Recently in for a dental cleaning and the vet tech was able to really work with my budget.

The front staff was great and very nice. The technician was very nice explaining everything thoroughly when we had questions and took her time to look things up for my grandmother .Very patient with our dog who was nervous but were able to get blood from him without any problem
Dr was nice and gave us ideas of things to try.
Overall good visit. Thank you technician Tracie and Dr Hughes for your work.
My only complaint is the room was so warm we were sweating inside we opened the door to the lobby to get some air but the large dog waiting was making our dog more nervous. It looked like the ac company was there when we left.
Our dog is suppose to return for surgery soon hope the ac is fixed by then.

I usually don't like to jump right into writing a review since I like to see how a place handles business before that, both good and bad. I've had a few hiccups with AMC and every time they have went above and beyond to rectify the situation. I've had everything from basic check ups to my one dogs major hip reconstructive surgery and they have been very helpful even if there was an error on their and even my own part. Being military and having to bounce around from base to base, we were quite pleased with the care we found here and I'm very glad I have been a customer of theirs for almost a year now. If you look at your pet as a part of your family I guarantee you will be pleased with the clinic as much as I have. Yes there may be times an employee might be slightly grouchy or even there might be confusion with the scheduling or payments or whatever since we are all humans, but how a business handles its problems and corrects a situation is how I base my views on it and they are the best I've seen in regards.
They have taken down the 10$ discount for the 5 star reviews now so this is a post that is a true reflection of how I feel regarding the clinic. I hope you do become a patient of theirs since they really are a great clinic.

Our 6-yo male diabetic Pit mix dog was in dire straits; lethargic, vomiting, not eating, glassy eyed, dehydrated. Our vet didn't have a doctor in house until after 9 am, so I was referred to Animal Medical in Copperas Cove.
GREAT facility, with INCREDIBLE staff. We were seen almost immediately, an initial treatment plan was established and priced out in detail and the consult instilled a lot of confidence in me, as did the twice a day calls from the doctor with very thorough updates.
Unfortunately, the diagnosis for our fur baby was "not good"; a perfect storm of two conditions, either of which was extremely tricky to treat, but together... well, a lingering and painful death wasn't desired, so we opted for euthanasia after almost three days of testing, diagnosis, treatment... pancreatic, diabetic and liver issues resulted in a poor prognosis.
Options for euthanasia were explained as were the costs, the staff was highly supportive of our decision and we were in hands-on attendance as we said our good-bye. The procedure was calm, quiet, respectful and our boy died knowing neither pain nor fear.
I recommend Animal Medical 110%.

I experienced problems with every visit I was there. Staff is not listening and did lab work I did not requested. The exam rooms are dirty. When my dog did well during an exam the vet spread some cheese from a spray bottle on that dirty floor and my dog should lick it from there !!!! Where all kind of germs, viruses and bacteria are ! And the staff does not communicate under each other! They always charge you an exam fee, even you do not wish an exam, just a prescription! They even go so far and ban clients, when they are not satisfied with the service of the clinic. I was always wondering , why I was mostly the only patient with my pet, when I was there. My dog had a removal of his toe and the wound got infected and it took 3 month to heal. I am out of here now and forever. Do not complain about them or you will be banned!

Our 14 year old family dog had an emergency last weekend. We needed a vet immediately and our usual vet couldn't take her in so we took her here. The staff was SO amazing and caring. Our dog had more issues throughout the week and the clinic took her in immediately. They did everything possible and didn't let her age impede treatment. Today, she is doing well and we are comforted in knowing we can take her to Cove Animal Medical Center for the best care.

This place is great! They absolutely love my dog Count. He is an Airedale Terrier puppy. You don't see many of those here in this part of Texas. So when I brought him into the clinic the staff went nuts. Many had never seen an Airedale Terrier puppy before. So the doctor asked if we could hang out a few minutes afterwards so that all the staff could see him. I of course agreed. They absolutely love him! Every time I bring him in they comment how big he is getting and how sweet he is. They truly care about the animals that come in. I am glad that we made the right decision in a vet.

I called the vet's office around 5 and told them that my dog had a very bad swollen ear. They told me that they could get me in right away. So we left our house and went straight. When we got there it was about 530 they took a straight. They came in and look at her and explain to me what was going on and give me all the options. And before they did anything they gave me a price quote on everything. From The clerk at the counter to the vet in the back everyone was very nice and helpful. And never act like it was an inconvenience to stay late. It was some of the best service I've had in a long time.

Be wary, they give a $10 discount for a review. Pretty sure that's how they've gotten a good rating. They took our dog's staples out too soon after major surgery and her incision instantly opened back up. Then with the compromised tissue they've had to go back and re-staple her twice, which by a second opinion was not recommended. She's an older dog that takes longer to heal and they should've known that. Her follow-ups will be done elsewhere.
Update: I've been a lot happier with them the past few times I've gone back. Staff seems to constantly change up front but really like the vet and surgeon. Recently in for a dental cleaning and the vet tech was able to really work with my budget.

Dr was nice and gave us ideas of things to try.
Overall good visit. Thank you technician Tracie and Dr Hughes for your work.
My only complaint is the room was so warm we were sweating inside we opened the door to the lobby to get some air but the large dog waiting was making our dog more nervous. It looked like the ac company was there when we left.
Our dog is suppose to return for surgery soon hope the ac is fixed by then.

I usually don't like to jump right into writing a review since I like to see how a place handles business before that, both good and bad. I've had a few hiccups with AMC and every time they have went above and beyond to rectify the situation. I've had everything from basic check ups to my one dogs major hip reconstructive surgery and they have been very helpful even if there was an error on their and even my own part. Being military and having to bounce around from base to base, we were quite pleased with the care we found here and I'm very glad I have been a customer of theirs for almost a year now. If you look at your pet as a part of your family I guarantee you will be pleased with the clinic as much as I have. Yes there may be times an employee might be slightly grouchy or even there might be confusion with the scheduling or payments or whatever since we are all humans, but how a business handles its problems and corrects a situation is how I base my views on it and they are the best I've seen in regards.
They have taken down the 10$ discount for the 5 star reviews now so this is a post that is a true reflection of how I feel regarding the clinic. I hope you do become a patient of theirs since they really are a great clinic.

Our 6-yo male diabetic Pit mix dog was in dire straits; lethargic, vomiting, not eating, glassy eyed, dehydrated. Our vet didn't have a doctor in house until after 9 am, so I was referred to Animal Medical in Copperas Cove.
GREAT facility, with INCREDIBLE staff. We were seen almost immediately, an initial treatment plan was established and priced out in detail and the consult instilled a lot of confidence in me, as did the twice a day calls from the doctor with very thorough updates.
Unfortunately, the diagnosis for our fur baby was "not good"; a perfect storm of two conditions, either of which was extremely tricky to treat, but together... well, a lingering and painful death wasn't desired, so we opted for euthanasia after almost three days of testing, diagnosis, treatment... pancreatic, diabetic and liver issues resulted in a poor prognosis.
Options for euthanasia were explained as were the costs, the staff was highly supportive of our decision and we were in hands-on attendance as we said our good-bye. The procedure was calm, quiet, respectful and our boy died knowing neither pain nor fear.
I recommend Animal Medical 110%.

They presented me with options that I considered but ultimately chose to euthanize. The vets assistant first said that she disagreed with my decision. They still filled my wishes and were nice but... I experienced problems with every visit I was there. Staff is not listening and did lab work I did not requested. The exam rooms are dirty. When my dog did well during an exam the vet spread some cheese from a spray bottle on that dirty floor and my dog should lick it from there !!!! Where all kind of germs, viruses and bacteria are ! And the staff does not communicate under each other! They always charge you an exam fee, even you do not wish an exam, just a prescription! They even go so far and ban clients, when they are not satisfied with the service of the clinic. I was always wondering , why I was mostly the only patient with my pet, when I was there. My dog had a removal of his toe and the wound got infected and it took 3 month to heal. I am out of here now and forever. Do not complain about them or you will be banned!

Our 14 year old family dog had an emergency last weekend. We needed a vet immediately and our usual vet couldn't take her in so we took her here. The staff was SO amazing and caring. Our dog had more issues throughout the week and the clinic took her in immediately. They did everything possible and didn't let her age impede treatment. Today, she is doing well and we are comforted in knowing we can take her to Cove Animal Medical Center for the best care.

This place is great! They absolutely love my dog Count. He is an Airedale Terrier puppy. You don't see many of those here in this part of Texas. So when I brought him into the clinic the staff went nuts. Many had never seen an Airedale Terrier puppy before. So the doctor asked if we could hang out a few minutes afterwards so that all the staff could see him. I of course agreed. They absolutely love him! Every time I bring him in they comment how big he is getting and how sweet he is. They truly care about the animals that come in. I am glad that we made the right decision in a vet.

I called the vet's office around 5 and told them that my dog had a very bad swollen ear. They told me that they could get me in right away. So we left our house and went straight. When we got there it was about 530 they took a straight. They came in and look at her and explain to me what was going on and give me all the options. And before they did anything they gave me a price quote on everything. From The clerk at the counter to the vet in the back everyone was very nice and helpful. And never act like it was an inconvenience to stay late. It was some of the best service I've had in a long time.
