I have been a customer of this Hospital for over 10 years and have used at one time or the other just about every service that is offered. The staff of this hospital are truly professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. From the time I walk in the door or when I call for an appointment I am greeted with a friendly voice and smile. The receptionist know and greet me by name as well as the names of my furry babies. When I go to see the doctors with my babies for whatever reason, annual check-ups, emergency service, medical care or just medical advice I am confident that I am receiving the best possible care and advise for my babies. When the hardest decisions of my life come along the doctors, techs, and receptionist are very compassionate, and respectful through the entire stressful situation. Crossroads Veterinary was absolutely amazing!!! I took my dogs to Killeen Veterinary Clinic when I first came to the area and it was not a good experience. When my pit-bull Gemma became very sick, my friend said, "You have to take her to Crossroads" and boy am I glad I did! The facility was clean, professional and welcoming, and the staff was magnificent. Even when I had to make the tough decision to consent to surgery for her I truly felt like the Doctor gave me all the information that I needed to make the correct and best decision. Her stay there was wonderful, she was snuggled and loved by the staff and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Thank you, so much, for helping me through that stressful time. I am so thankful to them that they were there for us when we needed reliable, caring, and professional care! Read Less

Could not be more impressed with Crossroads and everyone that works there. If I could give 6 stars I would. Duke (my lil pitty) would definantly be pushing for 10! He absolutely loves this place (I have never seen a dog excited to go to a vet before, and this seems to be the norm with a lot of other dogs here too).
My buddy Duke was at the pound when I found him, on his last leg with serious infections, malnutrition, no energy at all, constant drip and poop'n blood. In short he was one sick puppy. As if he wasn't bad enough with not much longer to live, the pound thought he had Parvo and was going to put him down. Only because we had already completed the adoption paperwork, and was there to pick him up when this decision was being made, was I able to get him out of there and into the hands of Crossroads.
Fortunatly they found no trace of Parvo but a lot of other concerns to deal with. Including finding out he was born without a penis! He had the outside sheath and looked completely normal but nothing inside. The poor guy couldn't urinate his entire life and was going down fast. They performed surgery on him the very next day. This was something you don't see every day, but Dr Beene worked his magic and Duke now couldn't be happier or healthier. Also, for me, they were extreamly affordable and easy to work with, especially for such a complicated procedure.
Duke is now the greatest dog (and best friend) I've ever had, and I have Crossroads to thank. Read Less

Crossroads Veterinary Hospital is truly the best vet in Coryell county and the surrounding area. This Hospitals team is ran by nothing less than an absolute professional staff of knowledgeable, caring and dedicated personnel. From the receptionists, vet techs, kennel care provider to the great Veterinary Doctors. Dr. Beene has an outstanding knowledge of all animals and is constantly expanding on his expertise and skills as a vet. Dr. Beene has such a high knowledge in his field that the Texas A&M veterinary program in College Station has called upon him to serve on selection boards to help select potential new vet students for the vet program. We have had many animals over the last 10 years and him and his staff have always had the confidence and personal knowledge to treat every ailment our pets have had. Recently we had a dog that torn his ACL very bad and Dr. Beene could have easily performed a procedure that would have fixed it. He however told us that the success rate was not as high and he recommended a procedure that would be a long term permanent fix that another Vet of his could perform. He convinced us to take our dog to TAMU small animal clinic, (instead of doing it at his clinic) and have his friend perform this surgery. He knew that this surgery would give our high energy dog a quicker recovery time, be a stronger fix and the perfect answer for an athletic dog. He could have easily talked us into having him perform an alternative surgery and made a great amount of money (over $4000) but he was more concerned for the overall quality of life for Max. Knowing Dr. Beenes personality and work ethics, he will soon receive the qualification and acquire the necessary tools to perform this more complicated surgery, in order to become one of the few Vets qualified to perform such a complicated operation. When Dr. Beene had counseled us on our options, we trusted him as we do all his advice for our animals and we will continue to use his advice in all manners pet related. I have left out his outstanding partners Dr. Caperton, Dr. Carriker and Dr. McNeese, each of whom are as professional and knowledgeable as he is. Your animals will always be greeted with traditional hugs and kisses before they are looked at by anyone at this vet hospital. I can't stress it enough that his success is also due in part to his great staff and Doctors that provide a pet friendly atmosphere at Cross Roads Veterinary Hospital, located at 1101 S FM 116 COPPERAS COVE, TX 76522. They seemed great at first, but the weren't. I took my daughters cat in because she had somehow broken her foot badly. We were told she had a bone infection and would need treatment before the exact extent of the damage could be determined. After spending $600 on antibiotics over the course of a few months we were told the cat would need surgery. Our family had just been the victim of a very serious crime and we spent the last bit of our savings (that hadn't been spent cleaning up the crime) on the cat to make her better. When I asked the vet if we could make payments (my finance and I have I have good, steady jobs) we were told absolutely not and that without surgery the cat would probably die. So now my kids cat is dead because the Vet was more money hungry than she was interested in helping my daughter's cat. We obviously cared deeply for our animal because we continued to buy expensive antibiotics week after week after week until the rest of our savings was completely depleted. And because we spent all our money there we didn't have the money to take the cat anywhere else. The best part was today when they sent me an email to wish my daughters dead cat a happy birthday! The lack of compassion for our cat is utterly disgusting. It's obvious that all they care about is their pockets and not actually helping animals. Read Less

I have been very satisfied with crossroads until the I took my dog in on Monday. I was told the lump on his neck would need a byopsy to determine what action was needed. Three members of the staff carefully explained the procedure. And gave me an estimate. I obviously scheduled it immediately. Today was the day. I drop him off and call a few hours later to be told he will need a byopsy. Hello!! That's what he was in for today. They said oops we estimated it wrong. And I pointed out that they had over charged me. They offered to do the byopsy for an additional $500. The $300 was used on the wrong procedure. I feel that that was their mistake and incompetence. I will never return to their facility. I work commercial construction. If a client wants a 7-11 and I build a Duncan donuts instead, I will be building what was intended and sold to them at my expense. But as sad as it makes me Crossroads don't care about my dog or any animal. They are only after as much money as possible. Boo for them. Read Less

Dr. Caperton and all of the staff at Crossroads are truly as good as it gets. I say this after taking my dog to two previous veterinary clinics and neither were able to properly diagnose my dog despite the ease it would have been had they properly examined her. This vet was suggested by my coworkers and I am ever so glad that I went. Dr. Caperton thoroughly examined my dog and explained her situation. It is my firm belief that had she been properly diagnosed 3 months prior, the end result would have been a different one. While in the end, my dog was euthanized, this vet did everything in her power to keep my dog free of pain and at home with her family for as long as was possible. The staff at Crossroads vet couldn't be better. Laura, the tech that was so supportive of us as we had to take our pet for her last visit, was simply incredible. She was kind, soft spoken and so understanding of our situation. Dr. Caperton was gentle with our dog and also understood my heartbreak in addition to my anger and frustration at 2 previous veterinary clinics. I would recommend her to anyone with a pet that needs an intelligent, caring and professional vet. I would like to say an extra special thank you to all of the staff that we came in contact with during our experience with Crossroads Vet. As owners of several German Shepherds, we have had interactions with vets since these great animals became part of our lives and you simply are the best. I want to thank you for being so kind and so caring during such a horrible time. You never rushed us and you never made us feel like we were taking up too much of your time. I used Crossroads for many years and was very happy with Dr. Beene. We moved away for a while and when we came back I was given a new vet. She is highly incompetent and has cost me several hundred dollars more than I should have paid. First I had a dog in a lot of pain and after multiple expensive tests and meds she was still clueless about the problem. We spent close to $700. I took him to Town and Country where the problem was immediately identified and fixed for only $80. Then I took in a stray kitten because I was concerned it had ringworm. I even said to run the tests but she only gave me ointment which ended up making the problem worse. I again returned to T&C and they are helping me with a problem that could have been resolved weeks ago. I also have to worry about my other pets now due to her incompetence. Even if it's an inconvenience I would recommend ANY vet in Killeen over the vets in Cove. Don't waste your money here unless you can see Dr. Beene. Read Less

I called last week to get pricing for a fecal exam for two cats that I needed to register on post. Most vets were requiring an exam fee PLUS the fecal exam fee, which was going to be between $55-$85 per cat. I spoke to one lady on the phone who said if I provided a sample, they would not need to see the cat since it was just to provide proof of the test. The next morning I called again to make sure the quote I was given was correct, and the lady I spoke to then told me I had to pay an exam since the vet had never seen the cats before. She put me on hold to double check since she wasn't 100%, and got back saying the original price was correct since it was just showing proof for Fort Hood. The office was clean, the staff was very nice, and kept me updated on the test and asked if I wanted to wait or be notified of the test. I decided to stay, and it took about 25-30 minutes to get the test done, paid for, and walk out the door.I was also surprised that I received an email from them to a site which shows my pet's information and ability to schedule an appointment! That makes it much easier to keep tabs on upcoming vaccinations for my pets! I will definitely be back to them in the future once I get my dog moved here. Read Less

While my husband and I lived in TX we took all of our animals for Crossroads. He told me how fabulous they were...and at first I didn't believe him. I even went so far as to check around. It was time for my cat to be neutered...so I called every vet office within Cove, Harker Heights, and Killeen. I asked about prices and time frame, and essentially graded their demeanor while I questioned them over the phone. With all of my calls....I began to be afraid for my cats safety if I took him to any of these places! Not only did I find prices that were just TOO high, but the people that answered the phone clearly hated their jobs and didn't want to be there.Then...I called Crossroads again. Not only did they have a low and reasonable price....but the lady on the phone clearly loved her job.Over the two years I lived in TX, I used Crossroads, and only Crossroads. My pets always received the best care possible. The staff went above and beyond the call of duty for us. They were even understanding about my beast of a dog's fear of men!I have recommended all my friends with pets to take their animals there, and they have never let anyone down. Read Less

Beene. Read Less

Read Less

I recommend Dr. Carriker. She is amazing. I adopted a dog from Killeen animal control. She was so sweet and loving but we noticed a cough. She had a severe case of pneumonia and almost died. She had to be hospitalized for 2 days. This could have easily cost thousands. I only spent a few hundred. The staff were generally concerned and kept me calm. They helped me through the tears. My Lexi has been a blessing to my family and I am so thankful she had a second chance at life. She is the only dog I know that looks forward to vet visits and greets all the staff with excitement and kisses. She remembers. Read Less

Great, friendly staff. Also, certain hours a day they take walk-ins. Took my rott there last week on friday because she had lumps on her throat. Told I was going to be notified on Wednesday of the biopsy results. They actually gave me a call Monday which was awesome. Unfortunately, my dog has cancer. They went through all options with me on the phone and explained everything. I am very grateful for their caring staff. I will definitely be taking my other dog here for as long as I am in Texas. Read Less

The fact is the Lord sent us this loving caring female Dr. I brought in my little golden lab pup, I had just gotten her two days before. In my life as an adult I have never seen a veternarian be so gentle. My K.C. did not make it,Dr. Ash was there for me to help me through my grief. I will not see any other vet as long as she is here.
