That is wildly reasonable to me. They set her up for her 3 week boosters, and answered all my questions related to diet, and kitten care. We are exceedingly happy with our local vet choice. I brought my cat here because my normal vet was not open the day after christmas and it was an emergency. The reviews looked pretty solid before i brought him in, however my experience has been a total disaster. They kept my cat over night which is fine, because he wasn't doing his business and they didn't think he would before 6pm. So today, 12/27, they kept me on hold for over 15minutes just for them to tell me the doctor was in a room with another patient, but not only that we'd been calling since 10am, and the vet seems to ALWAYS be busy and can't pick up a phone to give us a call back. I will NEVER bring my cat back here, i don't care how good the prices are. Worst experience of my life. Read Less

Took our cat in and then moved our dog over to them to.....and couldn't be happier. Our Great Pyrenees got groomed there today and he has bad hips and the last place he went to he was so sore and couldn't walk without pain pills.....he got groomed here at Animal Medical Corpus Christi today and he looks great but best part he's walking just fine and was so happy. I took my puppy here for her first set of shots, she got sick a bit after that and I suspected it was parvo. The vet said it was just a stomach bug, gave her medicine for that, and refused to give her the second set of shots which included the parvo vaccination claiming that they didn't want to "overwhelm her". I'm very happy we switched our dogs over from PetSmart! Animal Medical is reasonably priced, never crowded, has better and faster service and everyone there is easy and pleasant to work with. There is everything you need including a grooming service and customized tags. If I didn't live in the area I would still definitively drive to this location as every visit at PetSmart definitely raised my blood pressure. We always needed to wait a rediculous amount of time even if we were early for an appointment. Over charging and understaffing was an issue for us as well - the staff always seemed in a rush and always behind. It's well worth it to find a well managed individualy owned clinic! Our New VET!!!!! So I used to take our dog to VCA OSO Creek. They were nice, but she is an old mini Poodle and she needed some teeth pulled, and they quoted me that it was going to be at least $1200. Just way to much money. I recently went to Animal Medical and they are so caring, you can feel the love for the animals there. I was able to get her teeth pulled, the good ones cleaned, microchipped her and updated her shots for such a reasonable price. Less than half of what OSO wanted!!!! Dr. Wallek is an amazing, compassionate veterinarian and she extends that same compassion to the pet's owner. The staff here are all awesome as well. Everyone is extremely polite and willing to answer any and all questions you may have. My terrier has been groomed, spayed, and vaccinated here and each visit the clinic has exceeded my expectations. They were willing to see my pup again after post surgical complications and offered plenty of extra guidance on how to aid my dog in healing. When it was time for my mother's 11 year old boxer dog to be put to sleep, we brought her here because we knew that they would take great care of our girl and we were very grateful for all of the support. I'm so thankful to the staff here at Animal Medical for their dedication to delivering quality holistic care to each animal. Left my pet there for two weeks, when we left the pet there we instructed the person at the counter that the pet needed a pill and we left the pill.  The pill was still in the bag when I picked the pet up.  We left him food and not even half the food was gone, we left the pet with treats and when I picked the pet up the treats were in tack not even open. What's the point in them telling you to bring your pet food and treats if they are not going to give them to the pet.  What did he eat for two weeks?  Why wasn't his pill given to him?  Why didn't he get his treats?  I did not see all this because they handed me the bag and when I got home I emptied the contents and they were the same as when I dropped the pet off.My pet looks depressed and is sluggish and disinterested.  I hope he is ok.I won't be taking him back there. I think he spent two weeks locked up in a cage with no interaction with anyone except bathroom breaks.  Not what I unexpected at all.  We went for the price and like the old saying goes, "You get what you pay for".  I will never skimp on the price again. This review is about the grooming service and not the veterinary care. Dr. Wallek is a very caring person who provides excellent care. The veterinary technicians, especially Julie Pearl, is excellent and knowledgeable. Yesterday, I took my dog for grooming. I went to pick her up and heard one of the female groomers hollering at the dogs, who were barking, "shut up". Not very professional or effective. If the dogs stress her out that much she should probably find another line of work. When my dog was brought out to me I could tell from the smell that they had not used the shampoo I had brought from home. I asked the man who brought her out if they used my shampoo and he said he didn't know. Well, obviously they hadn't as the bottle was still full! I take my own shampoo because the ones used by the groomers make my dog itch. She is still scratching this morning. I have gone there for grooming in the past with no problems, but I will not be going back. The grooming experience was not even close to acceptable.Read Less

Our kitten had surgery here recently. They were able to fit her in within 24 hours and kept us updated on her care. The tech/front desk lady is so caring toward the animals  and very professional to the parents. Their rates are lower than another place we got a quote from but I guarantee the care and customer service was definitely better than the other.
