I had been to several Vet's in town since moving here 5 years ago and nobody compares to Dr. Paggat. She was patient, extremely knowledgeable and loving. Gabi hasn't ever been happier sincerely her treatment and wellness plan. Everyone there was professional and so so kind. Thank you Everyone Animal Hospital Team!!! Horrible. Lost my pets vaccination records so my dog was unable to get his heartworm medicine then tried to charge me again for tests they had already completed 6 months ago. Terrible customer service and extremely unprofessional. Do yourself and your pet a favor and go elsewhere. Read Less

The staff at Everhart Animal Hospital really care about you and your pet. However, they are overwhelmed sometimes quite a bit. You need a little bit of patience with the front end staff sometimes as they are so busy, but the vets and techs here really do care about you and your pet. The prices are really reasonable. Was a loyal customer for years. I got my puppy spayed here, though, and they left her staples in because she was squirming while they were trying to take them out. They said she'd be fine and the skin would grow over. Then when I called back because they were really bothering my puppy, they were going to charge me again to put her under to remove the last staples, even though it was their fault they were left. A few months later I woke up to my dog unresponsive and having seizures. I took her to the emergency vet first, and once Everhartopened we called to take her over there. We were assured that they would have everything prepared. We took her over (barely breathing, now off of IVs, and still unresponsive) and had to wait for over an hour while Dr. P casually talked to another client about good cat food right in front of us. Once we were finally taken back, they told us that she probably wasn't going to make it because of how long it had been since the seizures started. Dr. P was very rude, didn't care that my dog was literally dying in my arms right in front of her for an hour plus, and tried to blame me for how long I had to wait. I have never been so disgusted with a vet in my life. My dog died that day, and there is no doubt in my mind that she would've had a chance if she had been taken care of properly. Read Less

I wanted to give this review because I really appreciate this clinic and Dr. Garett for the excellent job with my dog, Pascal. She wanted to write a review but is too busy playing and doing dog-stuff right now.My dog is extremely aggressive at the vet, which makes it impossible to examine her. But where there's a will there's a way. He was able to get everything done, safely and promptly.I'll be honest the odds are not in our favor, but she is doing alot better thanks to her doctor and his team. Read Less

I do not understand the negative reviews posted here as I have taken many cats and my dog to this clinic for six years and have had only the best of care for them. Great clinic. They are very compassionate and always put the dog first. After our oldest dog was sent home from our long-time vet with nothing but terminal cancer diagnosis, my father suggested Dr. Garret. He and Dr. Piggot were both honest, but also kind and supportive. Shots and recommendations for food, etc. helped give our dog 5 more happy months when others said he had less than a month. (I regret having to post one star )During the ride home, I was petting her and felt something under her chin. She cried out when I touched her neck. At home, I examined her neck and all over. Her hair was matted in clumps and had to be trimmed. Underneath, I found swollen flesh and a wound. Was she chained up? Was she abused? I have been using Dr Lora Pigott since 1994 when she had her own practice in Austin. I have followed her since because she is the most knowledgeable vet that I have ever met and I worked in the field for 15 years. She has a loyal follwoing of a lot of high end dog and cat breeders that travel from all over to see her. I am sure that the other vets are just as awesome. I never got the opportunity to see how awesome the vets were here, the receptionists lost (stupidly erased) our appointment. I can only imagine though. If they're as great as the receptionists, maybe I got really lucky missing out. Long story short; if you decide to change your reservation date do NOT forget to get the name of the person who changed it here. Dr. Garrett is a great vet and he treats all my animals great, they love seeing him. He is honest and his clinic does not overcharge or try to sell you things you don't need. His clinic is usually very busy, but I don't mind because I receive great service and care when I go. I've gone to other clinics they will tell you how you need to do 200+ dollars in tests even after the Dr. tells you what your animal's problem is. Not Dr. Garrett and his staff. Love this place! After calling them 17 times before i could get anyone on the phone to schedule an apt, I brought my adopted rescue kitten to Everhart to have her spayed. They suggested that I have blood work done and rabies shot and quoted me a price. I agreed. When I arrived to pick tup the kitten and settle the bill, I was told a different price as they added an office visit and did not give me the rabies vaccination tag or the results from the blood test. I agreed to pay what was quoted and suggested that they learn to communicate more effectively. they contacted me a few days later to advise me that they would not be removing the stitches. I would have to contact another vet to perform. I would not recommend this clinic. Read Less

They love animals. Its evident. They do so much for free through Pee Wee's and other on-profit organizations. They do lack some things, such as cones for post surgery, but honestly when they do so much charitable work its understandable how they would have to sacrifice such things. Every time I go the tech's and the Dr. address my dog before they do me, which in my opinion is a good sign there. Love the staff. Will take all my animals there. Read Less

We have been bringing our dogs here for 21 years. We have owned seven or eight dogs from pedigree to mutts and Dr. Garret has been there for all of them. We have not been to other Vets in Corpus Christi so I can't make a comparison. I can just say that I have never had any reason or desire to go anywhere else with my dogs. I have never had any issues with the staff. I've seen them on good days and bad days. I bring my dogs there for the dogs first. Read Less

I initially set an appointment here because my dog had a limp. The day of the appointment, she had stopped limping but I took her in anyway just for a checkup. I sure wish I hadn't now. An hour or two after her arriving home from her appointment at Everhart Animal Hospital, my dog started itching feverishly and nipping at her coat. When I called and told the receptionist that my dog had contracted fleas at their location, she said she would have a manager call me back. When the manager called me back, she immediately started trying to sell me flea products. I said that I didn't feel I should have to pay for a treatment for something she picked up at their location. Then the manager denied that my dog had picked up fleas there. I explained to her that my dog has never had fleas, is an inside dog, and that we went to her location and came straight home so there was nowhere else she could have caught fleas. Especially considering the fact that a mere hour or two after coming home from their location, she started itching and nipping. She was non-empathetic, and continued to try and sell me flea treatments and emphasize that there was no way I could prove that she got the fleas there. I'm really disappointed by this, especially considering that the vet, Dr. P was very nice when i went in, and I felt like I had found a perfect place for my dog. Boarded my bird for an extended period of time. When we arrived, the establishment was filthy and filled with the worst pet stench imaginable. The woman behind the counter seemed to be involved in a phone call regarding a personal issue and made us wait ten minutes (we were the only people there) to be helped, even though we were in a huge hurry to catch a plane. They had 3 dogs running loose in the desk area with potty pads on the floor. They put my bird in his small cage on a desk about 3 feet off the ground underneath a cabinet surrounded by the three loose dogs. When we arrived to pick the bird up, his cage was filthy, had not been cleaned or newspaper changed after weeks of being boarded. They returned the used food containers moldy, having not even rinsed them out. My poor bird was depressed. It was a few dollars a day less than the other clinics in the area, but pay the extra to board somewhere else for your pets' well being. I will never return to this clinic. Read Less

Dr Alan Garret has been treating my pets for many , many years. Everything from my parrots and rodents to my dogs and cats. He alway has a smile on his face even when you can tell he is extremely busy. But he makes your animal feel like one of his, one of the clinics. Dr Garret has a heart of gold when it comes to his work with Pee Wee's Pet adoption as well. He will also tell you straight up without emptying your wallet. His prices are very fair and treatment has good results without unneccessary testing. I Love this Vet and his wonderful staff!!! Read Less

This is office was recommended to me when I moved to Corpus Christi. Both of my dogs did really well with the vet and nurse. The nurse was able to pet and play with one of my dogs that is very anti-social, she did this by offering treats when the dogs listened and obeyed. I brought my 8 lb dog in for a nail trim. He had his nails trimmed for the previous three years without ANY problem. This time he screamed and bled. Months later, I brought another dog, 9 lbs., in for nail trimming hoping the staff had changed. At least they were cheap! Again, this dog screamed, went to nip to witch doing the trimming, and bled alot. I kept telling her not to twist his rear paw, which resulted in no chanage. When the blood came, I said "That's enough". The aide became hostile and arrogant, saying "You can leave now". I did, without paying. As it turned out she not only cut the dew claw way too short, but got a healthy chunk of skin too.OK, that's enough for the arrogant "assistant". The Vet is abrupt, tends to talk down to the owner, and PUSHES shampoos, conditioners, etc. ... all very expensive!They do not have a good reputation in the veterinary community.I would never, never go back!
