I brought my cat to this clinic & saw Dr. Boone. My cat had a small bump on her chin & Dr. Boon said she didn’t know what it was, so I should just have it removed. I did not feel comfortable putting my cat through surgery solely on the basis that this vet did not know what else to do. I asked her if there was any way of finding out if surgery was actually necessary, before making that decision. She told me that she could try to extract something with a needle but that the needle was so large that it would lance the small bump. I said that a biopsy and a lancing are very different things, and that didn’t sound like a good idea to do. She insisted that she would lance my cats face with a needle or put her through surgery, whichever I wanted. Neither of those are pleasant options & she really wasn’t answering any of my questions so I complained at the front desk. I felt bad to complain, but I’ve never met such an unknowledgable vet before. I attempted to make an appointment with the main vet. The receptionist said I would be charged again. I thought this was unfair, I shouldn’t have to pay double, because the first vet, who was obviously inexperienced, could not answer my questions with any clarity. I called several times, asking to speak to the owner or a manager. At this point, I wanted to take my cat elsewhere, but I felt uncomfortable that there a vet at that clinic that would put pets through surgery, with no evidence for reason to do so. No one took my complaint seriously, the owner refused to speak to me or answer my calls. Later I received a letter stating that they could no longer care for my pet. They had never cared for my pet to begin with. Very unprofessional, and quite disturbing that they make no attempt to handle patients concerns. If they ignored my complaint, which wasn’t extremely serious, I can only imagine how they would handle any major issues.

They took great care of our dog and was very professional and knowledgeable. Went in to check on her leg and the doctor was very patience and took a quick blood work for her. Even clean her ears and clipped her nails, the staff was helpful and very friendly. Definitely will continue to bring our dog here again. Oh and the prices are great!! Great care for a great price

I was impressed with this clinic as a whole. First what I liked: the woman I spoke with to schedule my appointment was super friendly on the phone and scheduling was easy. Dr Lejeune took her time in the room and made my dog feel at ease before getting to the exam. I thought the prices were on par with what I was used to paying before we moved.The not-as-great: I was shocked when I walked in by how small the waiting room is. Waiting with my medium-sized dog, around everyone else's lap dogs, made me uncomfortable because she took up so much room! It was made even worse by the wait past the appointment time, which I now know to expect because Dr. Lejeune doesn't rush when she's with you.Overall, I'll be going back mainly because of the care we received by the doctor. The bag of treats we were sent home with was nice too :)

My dogs have been patients of Dr. Lejeune for about 2 years now. At first, it was because she was highly rated in the area when I was living here, but even when I moved to the Montrose area in Houston, I still choose to drive a little over 30 miles so she can see my dogs. That's how much I trust her to care for my pups. Her prices are ridiculously affordable which is a bonus. There are times that I think I'm going to leave with a $500 bill for my emergency visit requiring blood tests, or fluid replacements, or ultrasounds or whatever other expensive sounding procedure, and both times they haven't reached that amount. My most recent visit wasn't even $150, and that was including 2 sets of meds. Her staff has always been amazing in handling my dogs too. Super friendly to both people and pets. They are usually always able to squeeze you in that same day for emergencies if you call early enough. I know my dog was extremely dehydrated, and they told me I could drop my dog when I called (8AM) to make an appointment (at 3PM) so the doc could take a look. The only thing is that sometimes the wait time is long especially when you're coming in the afternoon. But don't let that discourage you! Oh and also, Dr. corona sees dogs on Thursdays, which I was skeptical about, but she was also really good!

My border collie Heidi had a tumor that was blocking a portion of her intestine and she needed surgery immediately. Dr. Lejeune worked Heidi in to her busy schedule to accommodate us. Needless to say the surgery was a success! Dr. Lejeune called me several times herself to keep me posted on Heidi€s recovery. She even mentioned that if she thought Heidi needed it she would take her home and watch her overnight! You will be hard pressed to find a doctor that will do that. Another thing I find to be impressive is that if your pet needs to have anything done she will work up an estimate with a low side and I high side so you can choose what best works for you. She will not charge you unnecessarily. I would recommend Dr. Lejeune to everyone! My entire family takes their dogs to this clinic. We have 10 dogs between us. Even my daughter and she lives in Austin!

I have taken both of my dogs here for several years and I cannot express enough how fantastic Barker Cypress Animal Clinic is! Dr Lejeune is absolutely amazing! It is EXTREMELY evident she genuinely cares for the animals as well as their owners. Her staff is just as amazing. They are just as amazing and very helpful! I've been taking my 4 dachshunds to Dr. Lejune & her staff for nearly four years and have always found them to be knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. BCAC offers a variety of services such as, laser therapy, acupuncture, etc and makes them affordable for all budgets - because they truly care about your pets wellbeing. My favorite thing about Dr. Lejune and her staff is that they do not try to upsell you at all. She lays out all of the treatment options for you but is very honest with what she thinks is truly necessary and what you can wait on. That kind of honesty is hard to come by and to a medical layperson it's more than appreciated. I highly recommend Barker Cypress Animal Clinic.

We have been taking our pets to Dr. Lejuene for about three years now. We always had great check-ups. Unfortunately, my 15 year old cat went into kidney failure a couple of weeks ago. Dr. Lejuene treated him with fluids and he had a brief surge and then his quality of life simply declined. I had never had to put a pet under and as a result, was completely heartbroken. Dr. Lejuene and her staff made a very difficult time much easier with the respect and dignity shown for my family and especially my pet. Her staff member, Cruz, was very gentle and loving with Buddy and while giving us all the time we needed, checked on us regularly to make sure we were ok and didn't need anything. While I really miss Buddy, the process for all of us was so smooth. Two days later, we received a beautiful plant from Barker Cypress Animal Clinic expressing their condolences. They have gone above and beyond. Thank you!

Wonderful clinic. They are always kind and friendly. I believe there is only one or two days each week that the doctor isn't in early and that's because she is doing surgeries. The wait is never long....

The wait is never long. If it ever were long, I would be understanding. Like with our human babies, if we have an emergency, we would want the doctor to take care of the emergency before moving on. Ignore the one and two star reviews and do not hesitate to take your furr babies to this clinic.

Very nice doctor! Been going there for years and have even volunteered there. They work very hard. Dr. Lejeune always gives advice when you ask but never forces you to do anything with your animal.

I've been taking my 4 dachshunds to Dr. Lejune & her staff for nearly four years and have always found them to be knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. BCAC offers a variety of services such as, laser therapy, acupuncture, etc and makes them affordable for all budgets - because they truly care about your pets wellbeing. My favorite thing about Dr. Lejune and her staff is that they do not try to upsell you at all. She lays out all of the treatment options for you but is very honest with what she thinks is truly necessary and what you can wait on. That kind of honesty is hard to come by and to a medical layperson it's more than appreciated. I highly recommend Barker Cypress Animal Clinic.

I have been going to Dr Lejune for 9 years and I love her. Their entire staff is always very friendly and helpful. Dr Lejune is so fantastic and caring toward my dogs and is very gentle.She has even helped me out in times of financial difficulties. I highly recommend Barker Cypress animal clinic you will bevery pleased.

We have been taking our pets to Dr. Lejuene for about three years now. We always had great check-ups. Unfortunately, my 15 year old cat went into kidney failure a couple of weeks ago. Dr. Lejuene treated him with fluids and he had a brief surge and then his quality of life simply declined. I had never had to put a pet under and as a result, was completely heartbroken. Dr. Lejuene and her staff made a very difficult time much easier with the respect and dignity shown for my family and especially my pet. Her staff member, Cruz, was very gentle and loving with Buddy and while giving us all the time we needed, checked on us regularly to make sure we were ok and didn't need anything. While I really miss Buddy, the process for all of us was so smooth. Two days later, we received a beautiful plant from Barker Cypress Animal Clinic expressing their condolences. They have gone above and beyond. Thank you!

The Vet and owner refused to do a complimentary X-ray on my cat after a surgery gone wrong. She was also extremely rude, I left there crying.. Don't trust this Vet with your animals if they need surge...

Wonderful clinic. They are always kind and friendly. I believe there is only one or two days each week that the doctor isn't in early and that's because she is doing surgeries. The wait is never long....
Wonderful clinic. They are always kind and friendly. I believe there is only one or two days each week that the doctor isn't in early and that's because she is doing surgeries. The wait is never long. If it ever were long, I would be understanding. Like with our human babies, if we have an emergency, we would want the doctor to take care of the emergency before moving on. Ignore the one and two star reviews and do not hesitate to take your furr babies to this clinic.

They do work with rescue groups. They're just awesome. I've brought to rescues to them for various services and never leave disappointed. They have good prices and are just good people. Thank you so much for always taking care of my pups. I appreciate it.

I have complete faith in Dr. Leugune and her staff..she has seen my furry family members for almost 12 years and we have always been met with kindness and understanding..when it was time for our senior dogs to pass the rainbow bridge she was able to come out to our house so that they could pass at home..it made an awful time just a little bit better. I would highly recommend trusting your pets with them.

Very nice doctor! Been going there for years and have even volunteered there. They work very hard. Dr. Lejeune always gives advice when you ask but never forces you to do anything with your animal.

They have good bedside manner when I bring my baby in. They take good care of my cat and look out for his best interest. They always answer my questions to where I can understand.
