It's been 2 years since I've taken my dog there. I love the staffs and how much they care for my dog. They even gave my dog a bath when I boarded her for a weekend. What impresses me most is that they have caller ID that's linked to your account so they know exactly who you are when you call in. Highly recommended !! Read Less

I am so impressed with this vet. Every single person I have come in contact with (about 4 visits) has been friendly and seems to genuinely care about my 2 schnauzers. The tech and vet answered all my questions very patiently and thoroughly. And, the tech went through pricing with me on various options in the room. We were referred to Fairhaven, from another vet, when our dog (Pink-E) was very ill. We were blessed to have met Dr. Hennessey. After the exam and blood work, we were told our options for Pink-E's treatment. He was very straight forward about outcomes, affordability, and recommendations. It was a rough 2 week journey, good days and bad, and Dr. Hennessey and staff were ALWAYS available when we called or needed to come in. After a hard fought battle, Pink-E passed away. Our hearts are broken, but we know Dr. H and his team did EVERYTHING they could to save her. When Pink-E passed, the staff was kind, caring, and understanding of our grief. While we only met 2 weeks prior, my family and I were tearfully surprised to find the sympathy card sent from their clinic. The card was filled, from one side to the next, with personal heartfelt messages from each staff member. Everyone is so wonderful there! I'd just moved here two years ago and I had only met Dr. Hennessey once before and I had to bring my 14 1/2 year old dog (my baby) in to put her down. He was so incredibly kind and I really appreciated him. We now have two puppies and two cats and have seen every vet there. They are wonderful! I have brought my pup to several places in Houston for vet services and boarding, and this is BY FAR the best place. They are always helpful and knowledgeable, and the hours are great, especially for those who can't be flexible to take off work. I board my dog a ton, so they will update her vaccinations right when I drop her off for boarding and not charge me offices fees (but they obviously charge for the vaccinations and boarding fees). I even received a picture text of my pup while on vacation, and that was the best feeling knowing they would go out of their way to make me feel better. Great prices too... 5-stars all around! My experience was a phone conversation. I explained, I had found a beautiful chocolate lab on Louetta and I45, she was chipped so I contacted the owner who stated he could no longer care for her. She is up to date on all vaccanations and has been spayed, she needs a heart worm test and prevenitive due to the fact she just moved to Texas from Cali where the disease is not as prevalent. I also explained that I was looking for someone who would see this sweet girl on a one time basis because my work schedule is such that it would be an injustice to keep a pet as I am looking for a nice family that would like a sweet addition. After going into great detail about saving the dog and looking for a nice home for her the receptionist told me it was considered malpractice to see a dog for a heartworm test and preventitive w/o a full work up and exam from the doctor in their office, even if she has been examined recently and all shots up to date. In my opinion, in which everyone is entitled, Cypress Fairhaven Animal Hosp. should train their staff on malpractice laws so they don't misinform patrons. Hopefully, this misinformation is not given to people in order for your office to charge more fees. I have heard good things about your office is the reason I contacted you unfortunately, I'm unable to get past the misinformation or tone in which it was delivered therefore, the sweet girl I saved from traffic and I will not be visiting your animal hosp. I rarely write a review on a business,  but Cypress Fairhaven Vets deserve 10 stars. They are my grandpuppy Mia ' s Houston vets when she stays with me.  After going off her food, I took her in thinking it was her teeth or jaw. After blood work and an exam,  the diagnosis was pancreatitus.  3 meds and 10 days later, she was her old self. Never more than 2 days passed without either a tech or vet call to check in on how's she was doing.  They literally saved her life. I can never accurately express my feelings for what they did.  I talk the practice up with everyone I know who have pets.  They had carte blanch with Mia, but they kept the bill reasonable.  There are literally no accolades that can describe my feelings. My dog hated her old vet, to the point where she had to be muzzled and they would make me leave the room, which I hated. I muzzled her for her blood draw, but after that I took off the muzzle and while she was still guarded and "suspicious" she eventually started to warm up to the Staff and Dr. Hennessy. This veterinary clinic has the best staff ever, they are caring with their fur love ones and also their families. We took our German Shepherd BRUNO on January 14 to be euthanized and they were very caring towards him and ourselves. Bruno had DM and his condition was progressing very fast to the point he didn't have much control of his back legs and hips. It was very hard to let him go but we didn't want him to suffer anymore. I love the kindness of the staff from the minute you walk in someone is there to greet you with a smile and it continues thru out the visit. Had to take my bulldog on a Sunday to be euthanized. They botched the process 3 times before they got it right. Something that should have taken minutes lasted almost an hour and half. It was a Sunday so my choices were limited if I had to do it again I'd wait one more day to not go through the pain of seeing my dog in pain when it should have been "humane". Worst experience of my life. Was charged the full amount and even a exam fee when nothing was done. Read Less

I am a Foster with SAVE Animal Rescue and took one of our dogs there. Due to my work hours, I needed to find a new Vet. I recently got a 10 week old puppy, and have a 9 year old beagle. Found Cypress Fairhaven through a friend's recommendation- and boy am I glad! I have used Dr. Hennessey for a few years now. Having two yorkies and one with heart congestive failure and a rottweiler and labradoodle, I would not use any one else! I have used so many Veterinarians through out the years and none compare to the treatment, concern and care of Dr. Hennessey. The staff there are remarkable as well. We have 3 little senior citizens babies and when we moved to the Cypress area we saw that the parking lot was always full. They would not be so busy if they were not good with fur babies and we have not been disappointed. Our little ones LOVE the team at Cypress Fairhaven Animal Hospital and Dr. Hennessey is the BEST. My chow/shepherd mix James had accumulated bladder stones very suddenly last year and in the matter of 72 hours went from his usual happy and energetic self to lethargic and in very poor shape. I took him to another vet first and they 'dislodged' the stone, but after 24 hours his condition did not improve and he was not urinating again. I took him to Cypress Fairhaven and they were able to confirm there was a large stone still blocking him and gave me a very affordable quote to perform surgery. The surgery was performed that same day and went well and he was kept overnight for observation. I was able to take him home the next day! Fast-forward a year and he's still happy and energetic and has new life. I am forever in debt to the great Veterinary staff at CFAH. Read Less

Everyone here is so nice and they treat you like family. My first experience here was when my young cat had a seizure and had to be on seizure watch for 24 hours. I was new to the area and did not have a primary vet yet. They took us right in and it felt like I'd been going here for years.
