I moved to another state and the state I moved to needs proof I had my dogs were fixed so I can register them. So I called 59 Vet clinic because I am not sure were I put this information, Plus it was 7 years ago.
59 Vet clinic: Sorry, we do not have long distance fax line.
Me: Really?!?! Me: So can you scan and email it to me.
59 Vet clinic: I am not sure?
Me: Okay, of course not.
59 Vet clinic: You have to fill out a release form before we can give you this information.
Me:But I can verify who I am, but I have to jump hoops just to get the paper work.
59 Vet clinic: Its the law
Me: Okay, but you cannot fax, and you don't know if you can scan, so how do you think would be the best route to get me this information?
59 Vet clinic: I am not sure, I would have to ponder that thought.
Me: Just mail me the release? "This clinic is very expensive and they cannot fax me my information and they could not tell me if they could scan it to me? My information, because remember, I paid for this service,". I understand if I had to sign a release, but at least have a fast and easy way to get me the information. I bet, after I send in the release, they will tell me I have to pay for a copy of the paper work. I bet they have a credit card machine to charge me for it, but they cannot afford a long distance fax machine.
My first experience is when I first moved to Katy and one of my cats had a puffy ear because he had scratched it. I was so worried because his ear was so swollen. So 59 vet clinic is closest and so I was new in Katy, I did not know any difference. He charged me $900 for the surgery and wanted me to bring my cat every 3 days so he can charge me for him to use his new tool on my cat. I had another cat that had the same problem a few years later. I took him to KAAWS. They told me my cat only needed pain medication, because the body would heal the ear. Me: No surgery? KAAWS: No. So I was taken advantage of by 59 Vet Clinic on a service I was charged $900, PLUS follow-up visits on a service that my cat did not even need.
This is why as soon as KAAWS opened up, I took all my animals there as well as CrossRoads Vet clinic. You do not mess with people who have pets, because animal lovers, their pets are like their children. So people like 59 Vet clinic take advantage of people and the love they have for their animals. My advice, go a half a mile up and go to KAAWS or go a mile up and go to Crossroads. The best thing for this clinic to do is close its doors. Read Less
