I've been taking my 6 y/o Sheltie here monthly for the last 3 years with no complaints whatsoever. The ability to drop off your dog at 7am and pickup 6pm fits my work schedule beautifully. They also can combine grooming and vet visits & will call you if any consent or problems arise. I normally pay 60/month for grooming, 200/year on trifexis pills, and 1-2 regular vet visits with checkups/shots.
I believe the most important aspect is that my dog is happy going and coming home from Glenwood. He'll walk straight in from the car, be friendly with the nurses (he's very shy around strangers, so this is a great sign for me) and sometimes fights me to leave. He hasn't come home sick and has stayed in perfectly good health.
Even if you spend extra for some peace of mind, I would highly recommend Glenwood Falls.
EDIT June 2018 - We used Glenwood Falls this past week to lay our furry family member to rest, sadly. It was a great experience on their part, the best I can expect of any animal hospital. Not something you want to do, but they will definitely take care of you.

They mislead me on cost. I made an appointment to have Schatzie groomed, yearly vaccines and teeth cleaning and removal of any rotten teeth. They quoted me $400.-$500.00. I said yes! Only to find out she had 25 of 44 teeth left and they wanted to remove 14. It would be an additional cost of $300.00. They saw in the X-ray what teeth needed to be removed. Instead of removing the bad ones and cleaning the good ones , they cleaned all 25 for the price of cleaning 44! To top that off they did not groom her. We paid $469.00 for our health not our dogs. Never going back!!

My daughter is also in the veterinary clinic field and they all share information like human doctors do. The staff called my daughter’s clinic and requested an animal’s records be faxed over. When the lady from Glenwood Falls called my daughter’s clinic, she provided the wrong information, which resulted in records not being able to be found, and the Glenwood falls lady went off on my daughter in a rude and unprofessional manner. I would not recommend a place to anyone that cannot even play nice within their own field.

This hospital is awesome. The staff is so compassionate and they really care about the animals. They always remember my dog's name when we walk in too. When my dog was about 5 months old, he started getting sick pretty often. First, he got kennel cough and the vets here did a great job of taking care of him and putting him on antibiotics. Sometimes I took him here for something small and they would check him out without charging us, which was awesome. It shows they really care about the animals and aren't just out to get every little penny they can out of you. One day, my puppy was acting very strange, breathing very heavily and was extremely lethargic. We immediate took him here on a Sunday, where they told us he had come down with a fever of 105 and had fluid in his lungs, a very serious case of pneumonia. Since it was a weekend, they couldn't monitor him overnight, but they referred us to an emergency clinic and took care of him as best as they could before we left. He ended up being okay, but thanks to their diagnosis and recommendation, his recovery was speedy. I also took him here to get neutered and they did a great job and his recovery was fast. Their prices are fair and I don't ever feel robbed after leaving. The staff is so compassionate and I always have a pleasant experience and because of that, I will always take my dog here.

I love this animal hospital!! I love Dr. Derrick and his whole staff! The front staff are super helpful, cheerful, and the minute I walk in the door with one or both of my dogs they know who we are, call us all by name, and have already picked the file for us! And I've only been going there for 2 1/2 years! I have two dogs, one old Pom who has a serious medical issue and Wookie is always treated so kindly and gently by everyone, and if I call with something I think could be serious they always get me in as quickly as possible. The vets, including my fave, Dr. Derrick, and the techs are all so great! I don't think the dogs are excited about seeing them always, but I know they are in very good hands! I so recommend them! The groomers are also fantastic, and my younger dog Trevor always comes back smelling great and looking great! The only thing that could make this hospital better would be if they could board my two dogs when I have to be away! With the medical issues of my older dog, I worry about boarding them at a place I don't know, or hiring someone to come in a few times a day to care for them, it would be wonderful to be able to leave them at Glenwood Falls and know they are in the best of care, especially if any medical emergencies came up. But aside from that issue, if you're looking for a great animal hospital I couldn't recommend them more! They are GREAT!

Based on our daughter's recommendation, I decided to give Glenwood Falls a try for our new Vizsla puppy's 2nd round of puppy shots. Boy, I am glad I did...super knowledgeable and friendly staff. Dr. Torrance answered all my questions and gave our Vizsla an exam that would match any exam I've ever had and I think we've found a new vet...and it's only blocks from home! Gig 'em Aggies!!!

We loved Dr. Rogers. But now I never seem to actually be able to see a vet about the management of my dog with Addison's. Today I went in to see the VET to discuss the injections and other medicine he is on and my concerns with the side effects and the cost. I inquired about a prescription for the injectable drug as Dr. Rogers had offered it previously. Instead of a vet I was only allowed to speak with the practice manager who informed me prescriptions weren't an option, and there were no other treatment options available. She handed me my dogs records instead of getting a vet who I made an appointment to see in order to discuss options. I'm so unbelievablely upset and saddened. My dog left without them administering life saving medications. Nor would they vaccinate him because I requested No live vaccines because of a health situation at home where we were advised no one, dogs included, in our home should receive live vaccines. It's devasting to be turned out simply because I want to discuss options with a VET not the practice manager.

When I rescued my first dog Ellie I was taking her to Preston Wood. They misdiagnosed her several times and I spent over $1000 there. I lived close to Gleenwood Falls at the time and decided to take a chance (3 years later and I am still using them!). Dr. Derrick is awesome and figured out what was wrong with her in 1 visit. I recently rescued another dog and she came with a hernia. They took great care of her during and after the surgery. They even called me a couple days after the surgery to check on her. My pets are my babies and I gladly drive 45 minutes to this clinic because they take such great care of my dogs. I highly recommend this clinic to any pet owners.

I live in the area, but would never have known what an amazing place this is if it weren't for my daughter having worked here. She loves it here, so I thought I'd take a chance & bring my dogs in for their shots. I was amazed at just how attentive their staff was! And they had no idea who I was; they treat everyone with the utmost care & courtesy. Everyone on the Glenwood staff from the front desk, to the vet techs, to the veterinarians who always take such good care of not only the animals, but the owners. They really do make you feel comfortable & safe to bring your pets in for any reason, even the smallest thing, or even something life threatening. They will handle it and make sure you and your pets are treated great. I recently had a puppy who I took to SNAP to be neutered, and even though he was up to date on all of his shots, he contracted Parvo from SNAP. A month after being neutered, he was on Death's doorstep. Pet lovers know, when something dire happens to your loved one, it is life-shattering! Thank God for everyone at Glenwood Falls! They took such good care of our little one, who had to stay there in quarantine for 3 days, and returned him to us on the road to health once again! They even let us come in & see him while he was in quarantine, plus they made sure to call us with regular updates, just to ease our minds. This went above & beyond any of my expectations! BTW, they take care of animals with highly contagious diseases like Parvo all the time and have NEVER had another animal contract it. Their clinic is as super clean as their staff is trustworthy and knowledgeable! You won't go wrong bringing your animals here.

Just wanted to thank the team at Glenwood Falls for making my first experience wonderful!! My wife found a stray pup about 4 weeks ago and decided to keep her as a new member of the family. I currently have a Vet, but have been looking to change for sometime now. I'm looking for an office that can make my dog and I feel welcome. I believe the search is over. Since we have a new addition to the family I knew I had to get her vaccinated. I drive by Glenwood on a daily basis and figured why not try them. The experience was great from the first phone call to the checkout. The staff is kind and friendly and having a smiling face. Looks like I found my new Vet!!!

Jim and I are beyond words grateful for the life of our gentlecat, our Samson. He has shown his namesake's strength in braving serious illness...he and we could not have done so without our Glenwood Falls team. Absolutely extraordinary. Samson is feeling much better today, having passed this morning with such grace, such dignity from this earthly life to his heavenly one. As Samson slipped away in GFAH's peaceful hospice room, his eyes assured us he would be bounding up to greet us when our own times come. Deeply cherish all the support we continue to receive from GFAH as we make the transition from having Samson present in body to having him present in spirit. Our hugs and prayers continue for both our courageous little man and our compassionate, caring Glenwood Falls family.

The Staff (front line, groomers, assistants and all Vets) are wonderful, very helpful and friendly. We have now switched our other dogs to this practice. Fast service, fair prices, meet appointment times, easy prescription refills, easy to get appointments when needed. They follow through on whatever you need. Highly Recommend!

Glenwood Falls is the absolute best! I've had nothing but positive experiences here, and I have nothing but lovely things to say about every doctor, vet tech, and admin I've interacted with. Dr. Christina is WONDERFUL; she's so great at handling my dogs, and she has a fabulous beside manner. There are several other vets in the area I've used, but Glenwood is by far my favorite. They also have competitive prices compared to other vets, and I really appreciate that they don't charge for rechecks the way other clinics do. I recently moved inside the loop, but I still trek out to Cypress for my dogs' annual checkups!

They are always pretty friendly and seem to be well organized when it comes to check ins. I have been taking my two dogs there to get their nails clipped and basic shots for years now without any problems.They recently raised their prices for nail clipping which I consider a tad high $15 (up from $10), which I don't like but minus that I really can't complain about their services. Clean location, friendly staff.One weird thing is, they don't stock heartguard for all size dogs. In fact the two different times I asked about it, they only had a stock for larger dogs only. You would think that a vet would keep in stock such a common thing that every dog would use - and have available for all dog sizes. No big deal really, I just ordered from Amazon online but still thought I would mention it.

Glenwood Falls Animal Hospital is dedicated and devoted to caring for animals. I've been going here for about 10 years, and my experience has been excellent. Dr. Derrick is my vet, and has cared for several of my animals in those 10 years. I 1st came to him 10 years ago when my dog needed emergency care after hours during Thanksgiving week, and my own vet would not see her. Dr. Derrick is excellent at what he does. His staff is wonderful, too. I appreciate them, and believe my pets could not be in better hands!

The vet actually got on the floor w/ our dog which is something I have NEVER seen at a vets office. Our dog was calm and relaxed and not scared to be there at all. The vet even answered all of my son's questions and asked if he had more!!! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!! The staff is EXCELLENT they have made a lifelong customer. THANK YOU!

Very reasonably priced as well - all services, check up, nail trim, blood and fecal testing, plus shots, 6 month heart worm, etc for under $300 made us very happy. I have no idea how anyone could not LOVE this animal hospital!! I'm 60 years old and have had animals all my life. And I can say without a doubt that Dr. Derrick and his staff are the best vets that have ever cared for my dogs. If you want compassion and caring then this is the place for you. Dr. Derrick will listen to your concerns and will talk to you. He doesn't rush out the door. My twins, Hope and Loco, love him as do I. I drive by several vet offices that are closer to me to go to Glenwood Falls. If you want the best care for your furry babies then this is the place for you.

Dr. Derrick is a very knowledgable, caring and kind doctor. My dogs really like him, and it is not at all unusual for him to sit on the floor and play with my dogs during the visit.

My dog had gotten in a fight with another dog and needed treatment for an open wound on her head and front leg. This hospital was open until 7:00 saving me the expense of an "emergency" vet. We were seen quickly and the vets and the techs were friendly and no nonsense. Even with sedation to close her wounds the bill was still really inexpensive compared to what I'm used to. They didn't even charge me when I had to bring her back two weeks later to get her staples taken out! I was very impressed with this place all around.

I've been taking my 6 y/o Sheltie here monthly for the last 3 years with no complaints whatsoever. The ability to drop off your dog at 7am and pickup 6pm fits my work schedule beautifully. They also can combine grooming and vet visits & will call you if any consent or problems arise. I normally pay 60/month for grooming, 200/year on trifexis pills, and 1-2 regular vet visits with checkups/shots.
I believe the most important aspect is that my dog is happy going and coming home from Glenwood. He'll walk straight in from the car, be friendly with the nurses (he's very shy around strangers, so this is a great sign for me) and sometimes fights me to leave. He hasn't come home sick and has stayed in perfectly good health.
Even if you spend extra for some peace of mind, I would highly recommend Glenwood Falls.
EDIT June 2018 - We used Glenwood Falls this past week to lay our furry family member to rest, sadly. It was a great experience on their part, the best I can expect of any animal hospital. Not something you want to do, but they will definitely take care of you.

They mislead me on cost. I made an appointment to have Schatzie groomed, yearly vaccines and teeth cleaning and removal of any rotten teeth. They quoted me $400.-$500.00. I said yes! Only to find out she had 25 of 44 teeth left and they wanted to remove 14. It would be an additional cost of $300.00. They saw in the X-ray what teeth needed to be removed. Instead of removing the bad ones and cleaning the good ones , they cleaned all 25 for the price of cleaning 44! To top that off they did not groom her. We paid $469.00 for our health not our dogs. Never going back!!

My daughter is also in the veterinary clinic field and they all share information like human doctors do. The staff called my daughter’s clinic and requested an animal’s records be faxed over. When the lady from Glenwood Falls called my daughter’s clinic, she provided the wrong information, which resulted in records not being able to be found, and the Glenwood falls lady went off on my daughter in a rude and unprofessional manner. I would not recommend a place to anyone that cannot even play nice within their own field.

This hospital is awesome. The staff is so compassionate and they really care about the animals. They always remember my dog's name when we walk in too. When my dog was about 5 months old, he started getting sick pretty often. First, he got kennel cough and the vets here did a great job of taking care of him and putting him on antibiotics. Sometimes I took him here for something small and they would check him out without charging us, which was awesome. It shows they really care about the animals and aren't just out to get every little penny they can out of you. One day, my puppy was acting very strange, breathing very heavily and was extremely lethargic. We immediate took him here on a Sunday, where they told us he had come down with a fever of 105 and had fluid in his lungs, a very serious case of pneumonia. Since it was a weekend, they couldn't monitor him overnight, but they referred us to an emergency clinic and took care of him as best as they could before we left. He ended up being okay, but thanks to their diagnosis and recommendation, his recovery was speedy. I also took him here to get neutered and they did a great job and his recovery was fast. Their prices are fair and I don't ever feel robbed after leaving. The staff is so compassionate and I always have a pleasant experience and because of that, I will always take my dog here.

I love this animal hospital!! I love Dr. Derrick and his whole staff! The front staff are super helpful, cheerful, and the minute I walk in the door with one or both of my dogs they know who we are, call us all by name, and have already picked the file for us! And I've only been going there for 2 1/2 years! I have two dogs, one old Pom who has a serious medical issue and Wookie is always treated so kindly and gently by everyone, and if I call with something I think could be serious they always get me in as quickly as possible. The vets, including my fave, Dr. Derrick, and the techs are all so great! I don't think the dogs are excited about seeing them always, but I know they are in very good hands! I so recommend them! The groomers are also fantastic, and my younger dog Trevor always comes back smelling great and looking great! The only thing that could make this hospital better would be if they could board my two dogs when I have to be away! With the medical issues of my older dog, I worry about boarding them at a place I don't know, or hiring someone to come in a few times a day to care for them, it would be wonderful to be able to leave them at Glenwood Falls and know they are in the best of care, especially if any medical emergencies came up. But aside from that issue, if you're looking for a great animal hospital I couldn't recommend them more! They are GREAT!

Based on our daughter's recommendation, I decided to give Glenwood Falls a try for our new Vizsla puppy's 2nd round of puppy shots. Boy, I am glad I did...super knowledgeable and friendly staff. Dr. Torrance answered all my questions and gave our Vizsla an exam that would match any exam I've ever had and I think we've found a new vet...and it's only blocks from home! Gig 'em Aggies!!!

We loved Dr. Rogers. But now I never seem to actually be able to see a vet about the management of my dog with Addison's. Today I went in to see the VET to discuss the injections and other medicine he is on and my concerns with the side effects and the cost. I inquired about a prescription for the injectable drug as Dr. Rogers had offered it previously. Instead of a vet I was only allowed to speak with the practice manager who informed me prescriptions weren't an option, and there were no other treatment options available. She handed me my dogs records instead of getting a vet who I made an appointment to see in order to discuss options. I'm so unbelievablely upset and saddened. My dog left without them administering life saving medications. Nor would they vaccinate him because I requested No live vaccines because of a health situation at home where we were advised no one, dogs included, in our home should receive live vaccines. It's devasting to be turned out simply because I want to discuss options with a VET not the practice manager.

When I rescued my first dog Ellie I was taking her to Preston Wood. They misdiagnosed her several times and I spent over $1000 there. I lived close to Gleenwood Falls at the time and decided to take a chance (3 years later and I am still using them!). Dr. Derrick is awesome and figured out what was wrong with her in 1 visit. I recently rescued another dog and she came with a hernia. They took great care of her during and after the surgery. They even called me a couple days after the surgery to check on her. My pets are my babies and I gladly drive 45 minutes to this clinic because they take such great care of my dogs. I highly recommend this clinic to any pet owners.

I live in the area, but would never have known what an amazing place this is if it weren't for my daughter having worked here. She loves it here, so I thought I'd take a chance & bring my dogs in for their shots. I was amazed at just how attentive their staff was! And they had no idea who I was; they treat everyone with the utmost care & courtesy. Everyone on the Glenwood staff from the front desk, to the vet techs, to the veterinarians who always take such good care of not only the animals, but the owners. They really do make you feel comfortable & safe to bring your pets in for any reason, even the smallest thing, or even something life threatening. They will handle it and make sure you and your pets are treated great. I recently had a puppy who I took to SNAP to be neutered, and even though he was up to date on all of his shots, he contracted Parvo from SNAP. A month after being neutered, he was on Death's doorstep. Pet lovers know, when something dire happens to your loved one, it is life-shattering! Thank God for everyone at Glenwood Falls! They took such good care of our little one, who had to stay there in quarantine for 3 days, and returned him to us on the road to health once again! They even let us come in & see him while he was in quarantine, plus they made sure to call us with regular updates, just to ease our minds. This went above & beyond any of my expectations! BTW, they take care of animals with highly contagious diseases like Parvo all the time and have NEVER had another animal contract it. Their clinic is as super clean as their staff is trustworthy and knowledgeable! You won't go wrong bringing your animals here.

Just wanted to thank the team at Glenwood Falls for making my first experience wonderful!! My wife found a stray pup about 4 weeks ago and decided to keep her as a new member of the family. I currently have a Vet, but have been looking to change for sometime now. I'm looking for an office that can make my dog and I feel welcome. I believe the search is over. Since we have a new addition to the family I knew I had to get her vaccinated. I drive by Glenwood on a daily basis and figured why not try them. The experience was great from the first phone call to the checkout. The staff is kind and friendly and having a smiling face. Looks like I found my new Vet!!!

Jim and I are beyond words grateful for the life of our gentlecat, our Samson. He has shown his namesake's strength in braving serious illness...he and we could not have done so without our Glenwood Falls team. Absolutely extraordinary. Samson is feeling much better today, having passed this morning with such grace, such dignity from this earthly life to his heavenly one. As Samson slipped away in GFAH's peaceful hospice room, his eyes assured us he would be bounding up to greet us when our own times come. Deeply cherish all the support we continue to receive from GFAH as we make the transition from having Samson present in body to having him present in spirit. We inherited my mom's dog when she could no longer care for an older deaf, blind and diabetic dog. I choose Glenwood Falls as Dr. Derrick also owns Cavaliers so understand their breeds health issues....
We inherited my mom's dog when she could no longer care for an older deaf, blind and diabetic dog. I choose Glenwood Falls as Dr. Derrick also owns Cavaliers so understand their breeds health issues. The Staff (front line, groomers, assistants and all Vets) are wonderful, very helpful and friendly. We have now switched our other dogs to this practice. Fast service, fair prices, meet appointment times, easy prescription refills, easy to get appointments when needed. They follow through on whatever you need. Highly Recommend!

Glenwood Falls is the absolute best! I've had nothing but positive experiences here, and I have nothing but lovely things to say about every doctor, vet tech, and admin I've interacted with. Dr. Christina is WONDERFUL; she's so great at handling my dogs, and she has a fabulous beside manner. There are several other vets in the area I've used, but Glenwood is by far my favorite. They also have competitive prices compared to other vets, and I really appreciate that they don't charge for rechecks the way other clinics do. I recently moved inside the loop, but I still trek out to Cypress for my dogs' annual checkups!

They are always pretty friendly and seem to be well organized when it comes to check ins. I have been taking my two dogs there to get their nails clipped and basic shots for years now without any problems.They recently raised their prices for nail clipping which I consider a tad high $15 (up from $10), which I don't like but minus that I really can't complain about their services. Clean location, friendly staff.One weird thing is, they don't stock heartguard for all size dogs. In fact the two different times I asked about it, they only had a stock for larger dogs only. You would think that a vet would keep in stock such a common thing that every dog would use - and have available for all dog sizes. No big deal really, I just ordered from Amazon online but still thought I would mention it.

Glenwood Falls Animal Hospital is dedicated and devoted to caring for animals. I've been going here for about 10 years, and my experience has been excellent. Dr. Derrick is my vet, and has cared for several of my animals in those 10 years. I 1st came to him 10 years ago when my dog needed emergency care after hours during Thanksgiving week, and my own vet would not see her. Dr. Derrick is excellent at what he does. His staff is wonderful, too. I appreciate them, and believe my pets could not be in better hands!

Even though you pay a lot of money for your pets exam and vaccinations they refuse to work with online pharmacies for needed heartworm medication. I was forced to pay 80 dollars more for a years supply than I would have paid online. It seems to me they would rather put their profits ahead of your pets health.

Only place to take in our sick doggie at the last minute on a Saturday w/o an appointment and being a new patient. Everyone there was very loving and caring! The vet actually got on the floor w/ our dog which is something I have NEVER seen at a vets office. Our dog was calm and relaxed and not scared to be there at all. The vet even answered all of my son's questions and asked if he had more!!! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!! The staff is EXCELLENT they have made a lifelong customer. THANK YOU!

Highly recommend this vet practice for your pet. Our dog has some anxiety and aggression issues that they managed beautifully. Very reasonably priced as well - all services, check up, nail trim, blood and fecal testing, plus shots, 6 month heart worm, etc for under $300 made us very happy. Will definitely be returning for the next checkup!

I have no idea how anyone could not LOVE this animal hospital!! I'm 60 years old and have had animals all my life. And I can say without a doubt that Dr. Derrick and his staff are the best vets that have ever cared for my dogs. If you want compassion and caring then this is the place for you. Dr. Derrick will listen to your concerns and will talk to you. He doesn't rush out the door. My twins, Hope and Loco, love him as do I. I drive by several vet offices that are closer to me to go to Glenwood Falls. If you want the best care for your furry babies then this is the place for you.

I have lived in the area for 21 years and wouldn't think of going anywhere else with my pets. From routine care, dental cleanings and even surgeries, they have always exceeded my expectations. Dr. Derrick is a very knowledgable, caring and kind doctor. My dogs really like him, and it is not at all unusual for him to sit on the floor and play with my dogs during the visit.

I can't say enough good things about Glenwood. Especially Dr. Fenton. All of the staff is wonderful and helpful and their love for animals truly shows. I've used them for 4 of our dogs. One with a major chronic medical condition. They are more than fair on pricing compared to other vets. I switched from VCA and I wish I had known of them sooner!

My dog had gotten in a fight with another dog and needed treatment for an open wound on her head and front leg. This hospital was open until 7:00 saving me the expense of an "emergency" vet. We were seen quickly and the vets and the techs were friendly and no nonsense. Even with sedation to close her wounds the bill was still really inexpensive compared to what I'm used to. They didn't even charge me when I had to bring her back two weeks later to get her staples taken out! I was very impressed with this place all around.
