I’ve had two different experiences here, one with my cat and one with my dog. The first experience was with my cat that became extremely ill overnight. I had originally taken her to the emergency vet but during the day they suggested to take her to a regular vet for cheaper, continued care to be monitored. Plenty of tests were run but nothing could determine exactly what was happening. Even though my cat was lethargic and clearly wasn’t doing well, they sent her back home with me because they thought maybe she’d do better just being at home in her own environment. Later that night, I had to rush my cat back to the emergency vet where she then died. Second experience, I had brought my senior dog in. He was yelping in pain but I wasn’t sure what was causing the issue. After blood work, an exam and a few hundred dollars later, it was determined that he had nerve damage from a previous surgery years ago. He was sent home with pain medicine. The issue still was on going after a few weeks of being on the meds so decided to get a second opinion. Within a single visit, it was determined that he had two back teeth that needed to be extracted due to infection. Problem solved. So much money was spent at Bent Tree with no positive outcomes. I do not trust their opinions nor will I be returning to this vet. But to end this on a positive note, they do have great front desk staff. Read Less

I'm very thankful that Dr Kimball spotted the seriousness of the bump on our dogs jaw. What I thought may have been an insect bite turned out to be cancer. She lead to the best options for our dogs care. He has had surgery, getting accustomed to his smaller lower jaw & hopefully this will be the close of this journey. We had to help our sweet girl cross the rainbow bridge today, and everyone at Bent Tree was wonderful.  Our 9 year old bullmastiff, Layla, began having seizures a few months ago.  Dr. Kimball started her on anti-seizure medication, and thanks to her, we were able to spend a few extra months with our sweet girl. This morning we knew the time had come to let her go. The staff was all  so kind and thoughtful. My husband, 6 year old daughter, and I wanted  to stay with Layla until she was gone. They explained everything they were going to do, were very gentle with her, and she peacefully drifted off to sleep. They gave us as much time as we needed with her to say goodbye. Wonderful Vet! Great experience. Moved here from GA recently and BTAH was recommended to us for our pup. The customer service was phenomenal and the techs and vet were very knowledgeable and explained everything very well. These are some of the kindest and caring people I have ever met. They love my dog Freya and they treat each pet like it is their own. Diane is absolutely wonderful, and she always gives very personalized service. I always enjoy my visits and they have been there for Freya and I in crisis situations. Bent Tree took such good care of Layla my boston terriers needs, patient with me and very affordable. Sometimes we intend to do the best for our pets and sometimes during a rough patch of our own, our loved ones get sick. Bent tree did an amazing job when making our sick visit about Layla and her care and needs. The techs are amazing and every single one I met is absolutely in love with animals and have a great amount of sympathy and concern for them. The entire staff is caring, always smiling, and the nicest people you'll meet. Kitty sees Dr. Koontz and I am so happy with the care she's given. Dr. Koontz is amazing at listening to my concerns, even the smallest worry or "symptom" I bring up, and excellent at reassuring and explaining every procedure and recommended treatment. I will never go anywhere else! Update: I adopted a new much younger cat and brought him in to see Dr. Koontz. She never disappoints! She's so attentive, caring, and kind. We have taken our dog and cat exclusively to Bent Tree Animal Hospital for years. They are always helpful and nice as well as knowledgeable. The Vets take the time to listen to you, to explain everything completely, and answer any and all of your questions without making you feel rushed. The Techs and front counter employees are always smiling and always sweet to us and to our animals. They always know us and our pets at least by face if not by name. Everyone in this office goes above and beyond to make the experience great. We wouldn't take our furbabies anywhere else.Read Less

Wow, These guys, let me tell you. My whole family, very sadly, had to put down our 14 year old westy dog. It was so sad. They stayed open 4 hours past their closing time for our family of 7 to arrive. It was just incredible. They were so caring, so kind, didn't rush us at all. This staff have loved on my pets for over 16 years. They have laughed and cried with me (and not just because of my pets). They treat me like family and I certainly think of them as such.
