Staff is incredibly friendly. As soon as I walked in, you can feel the care in the atmosphere. They were polite and honest and funny. The doctor was incredible. Very nice guy and professional with a lot of humor. And the prices! My goodness the prices. They are VERY affordable. I've never owned a puppy before and I had no idea of what shots and care was needed. They set my pug puppy on a plan to give him all his vaccinations. They even gave me tips on how to care for him. I am eternally grateful to have finally found an honest, down-to-earth, and affordable vet in Dallas! Dr. Konnerman is a gem of a human!  The way he interacted with my kitty was just wonderful, you can tell how passionate he is. The whole appointment was so painless and personable.  Now, as a lot of pet owners can surely agree, when it to comes to my animals' health, I can definitely be a pushover, just because I trust that the professionals know what they're doing, so I continuously found myself emptying my pockets just based out of ignorance and the 'concerned-vet fear tactics' that I have experienced with other vets in Dallas. I've been going to Dr. Konnerman for several years now. I live almost an hour away since I moved, but it's worth the drive. I appreciate his staff and the service. He treated my 2 dogs even though he had been bit earlier that morning by another dog. His hand was swelling up and he was not going to disappoint his canine patients by going to the doctor to treat his hand!! He should have, but his dedication is like none other and he was a trooper. The staff is kind and professional. I don't remember the name of the lady that sits at the front desk. She is awesome. The team works very well together. She came to Dr. Konnerman's aide since he was injured and could not use both hands. The other lady who cleaned my dogs' teeth did a very thorough job. I love the whole team. The outside of the clinic doesn't show the efficiency and great customer service buzzing around inside because it has been there for a long time. I think it's great that they don't renovate for visual appeal which keeps the costs down. What counts is the service, not the fancy building or décor. I'm not saying there aren't good ones here, but Edgefield costs less for the same routine services with better customer service. It all depends on what your pet needs. They've remembered the dogs names for years now.... four dogs over 17 years, to be exact. I've taken both of my dogs here for the last two years. He is by far the best vet I have been to. He is extremely honest, and very affordable. We had a serious issue with one of our dogs and he gave us several options with very honest pros and cons. The vets we used in the past had a tendency to try to "nickel and dime", this Vet is NOT like that. He often recommends over the counter alternatives, and looks for ways to make treatment affordable. Small vet in Oak Cliff. A little seedy looking from the outside but don't be scared off.  The staff is great and they do boarding. Prices are a little high but not really higher than anywhere else. Very convenient  if you live in the Edgefield/ Elmwood/ Wynnewood neighborhoods. Read Less

When I moved to north Oak Cliff I had trouble finding a new vet for my four dogs. Dr. Konnermann is super. He has worked with me on everything from a stray pitt mix adopting me to the last stages of my dogs' lives and everything in between. When my border collie mix had to have his pancreas removed and I was dealing with oncologists, surgeons, etc., Dr. Konnermann (Dr. Larry) consulted w/the other doctors and called me personally to walk me through the process. I have been going to this doctore for fourteen years. He is great. If you are tired of vets that are only worried about the money and giving you a quick fix then he is the doctor for you. When my dog ran away and we found her and took her to get a check up immediately after we found her he genuinely cared about the dog being ok and was thrilled we found her after being gone for so long. Now I have a westie with skin problems and I've taken her to different doctors to see if they could help her and he is the only one that cares. Other just want to give her a quick fix like steroids. He has even told us he was against giving dogs steroid becuase of the repercussions. Unlike the other doctors that didn't even worn me of what they can do. Read Less
