We brought our dog in to get a check up, including a rabies vaccine. We couldn't get her groomed without the rabies vaccine which had just expired. Ended up leaving paying $300 without a rabies vaccine, which the doctor said they would call our previous vet to get so we could get everything squared away. They wanted to see when her last shot was before proceeding. Needless to say, we never heard back from them. We just called back four weeks later to find out and they had no idea. We tried to book another appointment for the rabies vaccine, and of course they say that she needs another exam, aka another $200, rabies shot not included. This place is a scam. You're best off going to SPCA which is a low cost clinic - who we just called and made an appointment with TODAY. Our total cost for the rabies vaccination - $10. Don't bother with this place, because they don't do what they say and try to rip you off whatever which way they can. Read Less

We had a hurdle to jump when I was looking to transfer to this vet, but the Director helped with this and I am very happy that I stayed in there with them! I have the best new vet Dr. now! I could not have asked for a better one! Dr. Martin has been so loving towards my two kittens, as they went in for front declaw. Whether or not you agree with that, they are indoor kittens and my two older cats are already front declawed, so that's the route I went. I love Dr. Martin's assistant, Sky! She has has gone over and above the call of duty to care for my babies, as they were healing from their surgery. And my kittens really liked her, too!! I can't wait until January, when my older two cats will be visiting Dr. Martin and Sky for their wellness exams. They use a more pure form of vaccines at this office. I think they are called purtek or purtex or something, but they are more pure than the average vaccine, and thus better for your furry friends! They are holistic in their approach to care. They recommend certain things, and I have found that to be very good in the care of my cats. The front staff is polite. The back staff is very nice. The prices are very agreeable. They act when necessary! A man came in with his little dog, as I was there yesterday. He didn't have an appointment, but they still saw his dog because something was wrong. The poor thing ended up having a hernia, and they rushed him into minor surgery to fix it! That's the kind of vet you want! We took our little bundle of puppy fluff to Lovers Lane for 14 years, until we laid her to rest on March 11.Although Lily hated going to the vet (she wasn't big on shots), she loved the staff there. It was always clear that the staff were genuine animal lovers so we never worried about Lily while she was boarded there when we were out of town. Dr. Cairncross was our vet in Lily's last days, and she was kind and honest. She gave my mom good guidance as we struggled to make the decision to euthanize. Putting Lily down was difficult, but the staff was empathetic and we didn't feel rushed. We were allowed to be with her body alone afterward, which was wonderful because I got to give Lily a goodbye kiss.Thanks for all your years of support, Lovers Lane! Read Less

Avoid these folks. They always collect payment at time of service and called me after a software change and claimed that I owed them $180 for a visit. Despite the fact that I had taken my two dogs in two other times after that and no one said that I had an outstanding balance when I paid my bill, they kept sending me invoices. They told me that I had to provide PROOF that I had paid or they were going to turn me over to a collection agency. There are vets on every corner and they are a commodity. This one doesn't train its people to deal with customers and I suggest you go elsewhere. Read Less

The Dr.'s and staff are top notch!!!! Our dogs are not only pets, they are also family. Lover's Lane treats them like their own. We cannot thank everyone there for all the excellent service that we have received. The only reason I gave them a 5, is because I could not give them a 6. LOL Read Less
