Dr. Champlin is an amazing veterinarian, by far the best I've experienced! I tried a handful of vets around Dallas but was never truly happy with anywhere - until I visited North Midway Animal Hospital. And now for the last 4 years I have driven over 30 minutes to NMAH because the quality of care my dog and cat receive there exceeds any other place I've taken them.I have a sweet but mischievous english bull terrier with skin allergies who has had hotspots the size of a quarter up to 6 inches in diameter. He has been in for everything from allergies, digestive issues, vomiting, routine shots, teeth cleaning - you name it. And I can't think of one time that I ever needed to schedule a 'follow up' visit because his or my cat's issues weren't resolved in the first appointment. That is the quality of care you will receive with Dr. Champlin and his loving tech Kaitlyn! When I arrive she greets my pets warmly with hugs or treats, speaks sweetly to them so they feel comfortable before their appointment begins. Any anxiety or worry I'd felt for my animal fades the moment they're in the hands of Dr. Champlin. He is so knowledgable, thorough and gentle. They take the time to extensively examine your pet, ask questions, talk you through treatment options and makes sure that you have a clear understanding of how to complete all the steps at home until your pet is well again. For me it makes a huge difference that I don't need to go in for a second or third appointments for an issue to get resolved, my pets are always back to good health within a few days of their visit.Dr. Champlin has always been honest about treatment, costs, available options to consider; I trust the advice and recommendations he makes. Someone can rant about fecal tests and fees or whatever being expensive - but frankly that's just a reflection of one owners interest in their pet's health. I was in NMAH just this week with my cat, as I was checking out I wanted to buy a second bottle of my dog's skin allergy shampoo (it's working wonders!) and asked if I should get any wipes too "for the days between baths" - to which he assured me wasn't necessary. That is only one example of many, but I wanted to mention it because reading one of the reviews really bothered me. They do not try to sell you on products, tests or care your pet doesn't need! Their top priority is my pet's health and that has always been apparent through the love they show my pets, the care we receive and the happy, healthy pets they are at home because of it. Read Less
