For over a decade I have taken our two terriers to Dr. Chase and his capable, warm colleagues. I moved to Northwood at the suggestion of a neighbor when I became frustrated with another clinic I had used for roughly 25 years. All of a sudden they seemed to be suggesting costly extra treatments and services that were far from necessary. Since changing to Northwood Vet we've been quite pleased. They handle our now older dogs with care and clearly explain any needs they perceive, including various options and timing involved (i.e., should we do something now or could we wait a bit). Their pricing has seemed quite reasonable as well. When we have had an emergent situation, they have been able to fit us in. All in all, we have been pleased and will continue to use their services.

More than fairly priced, Northwood has helped keep my pups healthy and happy, and were absolutely wonderful and sensitive to our needs when we had to let our elderly greyhound run across the rainbow bridge. They dealt with a complicated surgery for one of our other dogs, a tumor that had grown into her knee. They did a fantastic job, she’s healthy and by my side because of their efforts. Do yourself a favor and go to Northwood.

We have taken our family pets to Northwood Animal Clinic for almost 11 years and they have always been very caring, loving, professional, and supportive. When our 18 year old cat had a growth on his chin, they successfully removed the growth and I believe that gave him another four years of life! We also have two dogs and another 21 year old cat, and NAC intimately knows all of them, just as my pediatrician knows my child. I couldn't recommend them any more positively.

Northwood was recommended to me after I had a bad experience at another clinic. Drs. Bounds and Chase are excellent. They truly care about animals as well as the animals' humans. I trust them to board my dogs as well as treat them, and have never had any complaints. The facility is clean, and the front desk is professional. I highly recommend them.

We've used Northwood Veterinary Clinic with three of our dogs, over about 15 years. The two earlier, now deceased were always treated efficiently, effectively, economically with great respect care and dignity, even at death. Both Dr. Bounds and Chase are stongly afiliated (on the board) with the Emergency Vet clinic, on B.Bush Frwy in Plano. Why? Because they care. It's not about money here!Both have done everything possible could to demonstrate the highest standards of quality animal care and consideration to us as owners and customers, including the toughest call of all! After loosing two in our family over the years, I thought I could never take another try. Fortunately I came around and again, would trust my new friend only to these folks. If I were an ill animal, and could ask, this is exactly where I'd beg to go. None better in this area, or anywhere around.

I'm a new client of Northwood. I wanted a vet who was attentive to both ends of the leash and found Dr. Chase to be so. My elderly dog was ill and Dr. Chase was easily willing to refer him to a specialist, which was needed. He also provided another needed referral when it was determined that my dog is terminally ill. I find Dr. Chase very responsive to his patients. He listens and does not have "one foot out the door" when I ask questions.

They don't overcharge for office visits, treatments or medicines (if there is a need for them). The doctors and staff are knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and honest. I am new to the North Dallas area so when my 3 year old shih tuz Dana came down with something I was really in a Jam. I typically don't write reviews but if it wasn't for the good reviews already written about Northwood then I wouldn't have found it. I was able to get a Saturday morning appointment on very short notice so I really appreciated that. The wait was a bit lengthy but since they squeezed me in I couldn't really complain. The Vet I saw was friendly and the medicine she recommended for my pup did the trick. All in all it was a very positive experience and I'll probably use them as my clinic from now on.

I visited Northwood Animal Clinic a few weeks ago for an itching problem on one of my dogs. I had just moved to the area and of course was a bit apprehensive in going to a new vet but I am glad I gave Northwood a shot. The staff was great. Friendly. Dr. Barsallo was wonderful. Friendly, not patronizing or trying to sell me anything other than what my dog needed for her problem. I appreciated that. I will be talking my other dogs there when it's time. It's important that I like the place where I take my pets and I can say that I got a good feeling at Northwood. Although at this point I have only been there once, I would recommend to others that need a good vet clinic.

I am still so happy with the service we receive from Northwood Animal Clinic, even after all these years. We have been seeing Dr. Joe Chase for over 20 years, and I always feel he gives his full attention and kind care to our dogs. We have large rescue dogs, Newfoundlands, and sometimes they have had perplexing problems. But Dr. Chase has always been there with a solution or a suggestion for a road to recovery. I also like Dr. Barsallo. Even though it's a longer drive for us than to a closer vet, I keep coming back to Northwood because of the quality of the service and the very caring attitude that the doctors and the staff have. I ALWAYS know they will take great care of the "kids"!

Everyone's howling about it.Dr Chase and Dr Bounds care more about taking care of your animals than they do about lining their pockets with your cash. How refreshing is that? We make the drive all the way from West Plano for their care.When we were first looking for a new vet we compared Northwood Animal Clinic with Arbor Hills Veterinary Center and Windhaven Veterinary Hospital. Twice now they have given us estimates that were a third the cost of either of these places. Why? First, because their prices are lower and they don't overcharge. And second, because they don't try to sell you a lot of things (procedures, medicines, foods, etc.) that you don't really need. We've been super pleased by the quality of work, friendly staff, and reasonable prices that we experience at Northwood Animal Clinic. They're doggone good here, we highly recommend them.

Northwood Animal Clinic is on the southwest corner Coit & Spring Valley on the North Dallas/ Richardson line . I can easily get there using public transportation. This is a hospital that works very hard to serve your pets and needs without being pushy, keeping the goal to be the health of your loved ones without investing from your savings. The staff is kind and the doctors are exemplary. It would definitely be worth your while to utilize this opportunity. The hospital is immaculately clean and they offer boarding to both cats and dogs... I'm not sure about anybody else!

Slipped out of place and Dr. Chas operated on his leg and the operation was a success and Ike was able to play and jump again. Ike will be 7 years old on 2-20. What I love the most about this clinic is that the doctors really care about what is the best for each dog. Not only their price is reasonable (not that I mind to spend $$$ for our dogs), they never recommend or suggest the extra treatment/services unless your dog really needs it, and always tell you the truth.We started bringing our two Chihuahuas to this clinic since our very trusting dog trainer recommended them to us. Every time we visit the clinic, the doctors and all staffs are very caring, kind, and certain about what they do. Both the dogs had spay surgeries by Dr. Chase and everything went well. We were actually amazed to see our dogs started acting normal and eating on the same day they got the surgeries.We had to bring one of our dogs to the emergency hospital for the terrible allergy reaction on some Sunday (this clinic is closed on Sundays), and fortunately, it turned out to be nothing serious. But Dr. Chase gave us a call the next morning right after he heard from the emergency hospital about our visit, just to see how the dog was doing and shared some stories about the dogs that had suffered from similar symptoms with us. Knowing Dr. Chase is always very busy, this phone call was extremely appreciated and made us feel our dogs were really cared and respected.We have also had other doctors at this clinic, Dr. Bounds and Dr. Hollars, and we have been extremely happy and grateful for them as well.I highly recommend this clinic to every pet owner and we will definitely keep using this clinic even though it is not very close from our house.

Northwood Animal Clinic is the best veterinarian I have ever taken my dogs to. I have grown up with dogs and been to many vets in my life, but Northwood is the best ever! The doctors and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are very reasonable. They even tend to waive the visit fee if they do other things (meds, xrays, etc). I could not recommend them more highly. They really care about pets and their owners!!

For over a decade I have taken our two terriers to Dr. Chase and his capable, warm colleagues. I moved to Northwood at the suggestion of a neighbor when I became frustrated with another clinic I had used for roughly 25 years. All of a sudden they seemed to be suggesting costly extra treatments and services that were far from necessary. Since changing to Northwood Vet we've been quite pleased. They handle our now older dogs with care and clearly explain any needs they perceive, including various options and timing involved (i.e., should we do something now or could we wait a bit). Their pricing has seemed quite reasonable as well. When we have had an emergent situation, they have been able to fit us in. All in all, we have been pleased and will continue to use their services.

More than fairly priced, Northwood has helped keep my pups healthy and happy, and were absolutely wonderful and sensitive to our needs when we had to let our elderly greyhound run across the rainbow bridge. They dealt with a complicated surgery for one of our other dogs, a tumor that had grown into her knee. They did a fantastic job, she’s healthy and by my side because of their efforts. Do yourself a favor and go to Northwood.

When our 18 year old cat had a growth on his chin, they successfully removed the growth and I believe that gave him another four years of life! The two earlier, now deceased were always treated efficiently, effectively, economically with great respect care and dignity, even at death. Both Dr. Bounds and Chase are stongly afiliated (on the board) with the Emergency Vet clinic, on B.Bush Frwy in Plano. Why? Because they care. It's not about money here!Both have done everything possible could to demonstrate the highest standards of quality animal care and consideration to us as owners and customers, including the toughest call of all! After loosing two in our family over the years, I thought I could never take another try. Fortunately I came around and again, would trust my new friend only to these folks. If I were an ill animal, and could ask, this is exactly where I'd beg to go. None better in this area, or anywhere around.

My elderly dog was ill and Dr. Chase was easily willing to refer him to a specialist, which was needed. He also provided another needed referral when it was determined that my dog is terminally ill. I find Dr. Chase very responsive to his patients. He listens and does not have "one foot out the door" when I ask questions.

I am new to the North Dallas area so when my 3 year old shih tuz Dana came down with something I was really in a Jam. I typically don't write reviews but if it wasn't for the good reviews already written about Northwood then I wouldn't have found it. I was able to get a Saturday morning appointment on very short notice so I really appreciated that. The wait was a bit lengthy but since they squeezed me in I couldn't really complain. The Vet I saw was friendly and the medicine she recommended for my pup did the trick. All in all it was a very positive experience and I'll probably use them as my clinic from now on.

I had just moved to the area and of course was a bit apprehensive in going to a new vet but I am glad I gave Northwood a shot. The staff was great. Friendly. Dr. Barsallo was wonderful. Friendly, not patronizing or trying to sell me anything other than what my dog needed for her problem. I appreciated that. I will be talking my other dogs there when it's time. It's important that I like the place where I take my pets and I can say that I got a good feeling at Northwood. Although at this point I have only been there once, I would recommend to others that need a good vet clinic.

I am still so happy with the service we receive from Northwood Animal Clinic, even after all these years. We have been seeing Dr. Joe Chase for over 20 years, and I always feel he gives his full attention and kind care to our dogs. We have large rescue dogs, Newfoundlands, and sometimes they have had perplexing problems. But Dr. Chase has always been there with a solution or a suggestion for a road to recovery. I also like Dr. Barsallo. Even though it's a longer drive for us than to a closer vet, I keep coming back to Northwood because of the quality of the service and the very caring attitude that the doctors and the staff have. I ALWAYS know they will take great care of the "kids"!

Everyone's howling about it.Dr Chase and Dr Bounds care more about taking care of your animals than they do about lining their pockets with your cash. How refreshing is that? We make the drive all the way from West Plano for their care.When we were first looking for a new vet we compared Northwood Animal Clinic with Arbor Hills Veterinary Center and Windhaven Veterinary Hospital. Twice now they have given us estimates that were a third the cost of either of these places. Why? First, because their prices are lower and they don't overcharge. And second, because they don't try to sell you a lot of things (procedures, medicines, foods, etc.) that you don't really need. We've been super pleased by the quality of work, friendly staff, and reasonable prices that we experience at Northwood Animal Clinic. They're doggone good here, we highly recommend them.

This is a hospital that works very hard to serve your pets and needs without being pushy, keeping the goal to be the health of your loved ones without investing from your savings. The staff is kind and the doctors are exemplary. It would definitely be worth your while to utilize this opportunity. The hospital is immaculately clean and they offer boarding to both cats and dogs... I'm not sure about anybody else!

What I love the most about this clinic is that the doctors really care about what is the best for each dog. Not only their price is reasonable (not that I mind to spend $$$ for our dogs), they never recommend or suggest the extra treatment/services unless your dog really needs it, and always tell you the truth.We started bringing our two Chihuahuas to this clinic since our very trusting dog trainer recommended them to us. Every time we visit the clinic, the doctors and all staffs are very caring, kind, and certain about what they do. Both the dogs had spay surgeries by Dr. Chase and everything went well. We were actually amazed to see our dogs started acting normal and eating on the same day they got the surgeries.We had to bring one of our dogs to the emergency hospital for the terrible allergy reaction on some Sunday (this clinic is closed on Sundays), and fortunately, it turned out to be nothing serious. But Dr. Chase gave us a call the next morning right after he heard from the emergency hospital about our visit, just to see how the dog was doing and shared some stories about the dogs that had suffered from similar symptoms with us. Knowing Dr. Chase is always very busy, this phone call was extremely appreciated and made us feel our dogs were really cared and respected.We have also had other doctors at this clinic, Dr. Bounds and Dr. Hollars, and we have been extremely happy and grateful for them as well.I highly recommend this clinic to every pet owner and we will definitely keep using this clinic even though it is not very close from our house.

The doctors and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are very reasonable. They even tend to waive the visit fee if they do other things (meds, xrays, etc). I could not recommend them more highly. They really care about pets and their owners!!
