The only glitch I have is having to wait. My dog has a lot of anxiety, and it’s hard to be kept waiting. Many times the staff is talking in the back and leaves the patients waiting.
I’d hate to have to change vets again. I just have a hard time waiting when I’m there’s no one in the waiting room, and they’re in the back gossiping.

I love the vets. I had never heard of Fear Free before I came to Valwood and it has done wonders for both of my dogs. They have always been nervous going to the vet but they love the staff. It's not a low cost clinic but the extra time the doctors give their patients and the customer service are worth the extra dollars I pay!

I definitely recommend this vet to anyone looking for a new one! The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. This was my pup Meeko's first time there, as we relocated from out of state. He was very skittish, but they handled him well and made him comfortable! Dr. Yakel is wonderful. She was very informative and made sure that all my questions were answered before leaving. She does not rush her time with you at all (some vets do). To make the experience even better thy called the following day to follow up and see how Meeko was after the exam. Very pleased and will definitely stay with this vet!!

I've been taking my pets to Valwood Animal Hospital for many years. The tech vets have been there a very long time and I treasure my relationship with Missy, Wendi and Michelle very very much.
They have always been attentive, affectionate and caring with my pets. Anytime I'm in their clinic, they always ask how each of my little ones are doing. And I appreciate the follow up calls they make to check on my pet after treatment or procedure.
Dr. Yakel is very kind and a good listener. I trust her knowledge and expertise in how to treat my little ones.
I highly recommend entrusting the care of your pets to Valwood Animal Hospital, and I have referred others to them.

Dr. Pendery has cared for our pets for years. He is a wonderful veterinarian and person. He and his staff are professional, caring and always go "the extra mile". We feel like we are treated as family and that our pets have always received the very best care. Our pets are treated with respect, as are we. As with most dog lovers, we have rescue animals, whom we have cared for through their entire lifetimes. Dr. Pendery and his staff have been there with us. They are wonderful with geriatric dogs, which we especially appreciate.

We take our two dogs and cat to this vet, he is so wonderful. He has a gentle touch with them that keeps them calm, and has reasonable pricing. He's very honest, doesn't try to upsell so I know that when he says there's a problem, there is a problem. The previous clinic would try to sell me on all kinds of things, that's why I switched to Valwood. The receptionist can be a little brusque but the doctor is just wonderful. Have been taking my babies here for 4 years now and never looked back.

My cat, Little Man, was diagnosed as a diabetic about six-months ago, and I have been taking him here ever since. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, sweet, and are obvious animal lovers. They seem determined to help me save money, which is a big plus when taking care multiple animals. All in all, I trust Valwood Animal Hospital with my animals' lives, and wouldn't hesitate recommending them to anyone.

Since I was a kid, my family has been bringing our good puppy dogs here - for nigh on 30 years. Doctor Pendery and the staff are fantastic, kind, trustworthy - I could go on. Even though I now live way on the other side of town, I will happily make the drive so my pooch can get the best care.Just so you know, this is a TINY office that's easy to miss. It may not look like much, but it's a great vet.

I took my sick dog to this clinic this morning. The woman who saw my dog was rude and abusive. I will never ever take another animal there. No one should be subjected to this hateful woman's attitude, then have to pay for their services. It was disgusting, and if she were the only veterinarian in the world and my dog was dying I still would never go there again.
