I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Harwood and her staff! Although my dog was diagnosed with an aggressive form of lymphoma, they made the diagnosis very easy to understand. They did so with more compassion I have experienced at any other vets. When my dog passed away, they let us have all the time we needed with her to say goodbye. They made a terrible day as easy on us as they possibly could and I am eternally grateful for that. They were even kind enough to send us flowers the next day. It is thoughtfulness like this that sets them apart from other vets.

This place is amazing!! I recently moved here and my cat had a seizure. I brought her in the next day. I was able to see Dr.Harwood and she is truly an angel sent down to Earth. She took her time explaining things to me and treated my cat as if it was her own. The compassion that she has is unbelievable. I will always be grateful and thankful for her. I will never take my animals anywhere else but here. Thank you so much Dr.Harwood and staff! Plus, the tech in there was AMAZING with my baby. She had true compassion and she's obviously in the right field. Thank you as well.

I called, a very sweet lady answered and we chatted a bit. We have a very sick 3yr Shepard no other vet will do blood, check his pee, or fix his ear infection! This vet was so helpful and assured me they will help me! I am worried it is too late, or he may have cancer 😞, I feed him 10 cups of dog food a day and he won’t gain weight, his pee smells so bad... I always have water out for him! We also bought a puppy and it is so young! The lady made me feel so much better I thought she may have Parvo and she explained that it most likely isn’t!! This made me feel so much better!!! Can’t wait to have all three of my dogs have them as a vet!!! Also can’t wait to start goofs road to a healthy happier life! Hope they are ready for three crazy pups bulldozing the doors down when we come in!!

This office is absolutely amazing! The senior care for dogs was outstanding. They showed such an amazing love for every pet that came through the door. My 9yr old daughter came with me and they helped explain everything to her, assured her everything would be okay, and were very welcoming to allowing her to help. They went out of their way to make sure my dog got the best senior care, the vet Dr. Garcia was spot on with her diagnosis, called as soon as the results came in for her hypothyroidism and promptly gave me medication. They are extremely resonably priced. I HIGHLY reccomend this vet office.

My family has been coming here for 10 years. They are, without a doubt, the kindest most thoughtful group of people we have ever dealt with. They have seen my dogs through cancer and provided our dear boxer an additional 6 years after her cancer surgery. After she passed they sent us cards and made us several beautiful items to help us remember her. To our surprise they even hung a picture of her in the office. We will never go anywhere else.

I should have written this review a long time ago! I have been coming to Harwood for awhile now, I bring both of my babies, Cinco and Ocho. The waiting room is very small and most of the time they tell you to jut walk in for your pets needs so be prepared to wait. The clinic actually has two waiting rooms, one for dogs and one for cats which I thought was interesting but obviously merited. The staff is great! Super friendly and welcoming. Dr Harwood is very professional and knowledgeable, I have not had any complaints in all the times I've been here. I've never come when I was in a rush otherwise I would have been frustrated though. One visit I was here for over 2 hours because they had an emergency situation they had to deal with first. But once again, no compliants here. I felt like I needed to write this review to give credit where credit is due.

As a first time puppy owner, Harwood is setting the vet standard high. They have separate waiting rooms for dogs/cats, and is committed to your animal's health from the very beginning.
We had a couple different health issues early on, and Harwood has always (almost immediately) worked with me to make sure he's healthy and not drowning in antibiotics and have always called me to back to answered my additional questions (instead of insisting on an office visit). That being said, my pup still is EXCITED to come to vet- which says a lot about how great their staff is.
I wish there were some days to make appointments, because waiting on their "first come first served" basis gets long, but I would say it's still worth it. :)

I have taken my animals to several places within the Northeast and Harwood Veterinary Clinic is hands down, the best clinic to go to. First and foremost, they actually care about not only the animal, but the pet owner as well. They are more than happy to answer all of your questions or address any concerns you may have without rushing you in and out like a lot of clinics do. I find them to be very affordable and I like the fact that they have a separate waiting room for cats and dogs as my little felines will often get somewhat stressed out if there are dogs in the nearby vicinity. Going to the vet is hard enough! Finally, when it comes to end of life issues, they are beyond compassionate and will give you as much time as is needed to see your final goodbyes to your fur baby. I really cannot say enough good things about the facility, the doctors or the staff. Keep up the great work!

I took my dog to Harwoods about 3 years ago. We had noticed a lump on her tail. The vet I saw said it's probably a swollen lymphoid and not to worry. Sometimes they get full of fluid. She never suggested to biopsy it or check it for cancer. This week I've spent over 2,000 on surgery, xrays, ultra sounds and an ER visit to save my cancer ridden dog. We had our new vet remove that "swollen lymphoid" and it's actually a cancerous tumor.

My dog got out and was found by someone who took her here and I know I called right during closing but I just wanted to know who had my dog. They were unable to give me a name or phone number and I think if someone comes in with a found animal their name and phone number should be taken down to ensure that if the rightful owner calls looking for that dog they can pass the information on to help the owner get their pet back.

I cannot say enough good things about this clinic. We went during walk in hours for a broken tooth and were there for only an hour total. Dr Crider spent a good amount of time explaining all of our options to us, and brought in Dr Harwood to take a look as well. They told me that they don't do much dental work and referred us to a specialist for a possible extraction or root canal. They gave me 15-20 minutes one on one time and didn't charge me anything for the visit. I wish all vets were so kind and thorough.

I truly believe they are a blessing to not only those of us who have pets in this area, but also to the profession in general, as they show families what honest and sincere pet care is supposed to be! If you want to take your pet to be loved up on as closely as you love up on them to soothe through a doctor's visit, look no further! These animals are treasured lives not only to us pet owners, but to the staff as well! You will not find a better staffed or qualified facility!

Finally a real vet! My son and daughter-in-law found Dr Harwood and after years of going to different vets we finally have one who is a REAL doctor. She did a very thorough assessment, explained everything to us and was very down to earth in her treatment plans and expectations! As a nurse, I really apppreciate a good physical assessment! AND a bonus is there are separate entrances- a cat entrance and a dog entrance, for those of us who suffer from allergies! Our dogs have never been so well for so long..happy happy dogs! :D

Having been with Coronado Veterinary Clinic for the past 8 yrs, I was hard pressed to leave them; however, as I no longer lived on or near the west side & having a new puppy that was going to need some more frequent initial visits, I decided to defer to my sisters advice & try Dr. Harwood. It's been almost a year now and I'll never look back! I have a 65 lb chow/pit mix & now a 6 mos old chihuahua/shih tzu mix that her AND her staff have been absolutely wonderful with. Even with my big ones sometimes surly demeanor & the lil ones tendency to yap. They never once even mentioned a muzzle...they instead allowed me access to be part of the examination. We live on Fort Bliss, but when our dog had an emergency and the on-post vet service was closed, we called local veterinarians. Dr. Harwood saw us within two hours of my phone call, and even though we had never been there, took the time to explain the procedure even though there were other patients waiting. The surgery was done within three hours of us arriving. The desk staff were very helpful, and her techs were great with our 70 pound dog, comforting her and treating her very gently despite her somewhat intimidating appearance. Dr. Harwood was kind, to the point, and explained everything thoroughly. When we recieved the bill, it was itemized and, in my opinion, very reasonable, especially considering the situation. We are considering making Dr. Harwood our permanent vet during the rest of our assignment to El Paso, despite the availability of an at-cost vet service on post.

I called, a very sweet lady answered and we chatted a bit. We have a very sick 3yr Shepard no other vet will do blood, check his pee, or fix his ear infection! This vet was so helpful and assured me they will help me! I am worried it is too late, or he may have cancer 😞, I feed him 10 cups of dog food a day and he won’t gain weight, his pee smells so bad... I always have water out for him! We also bought a puppy and it is so young! The lady made me feel so much better I thought she may have Parvo and she explained that it most likely isn’t!! This made me feel so much better!!! Can’t wait to have all three of my dogs have them as a vet!!! Also can’t wait to start goofs road to a healthy happier life! Hope they are ready for three crazy pups bulldozing the doors down when we come in!!

This office is absolutely amazing! The senior care for dogs was outstanding. They showed such an amazing love for every pet that came through the door. My 9yr old daughter came with me and they helped explain everything to her, assured her everything would be okay, and were very welcoming to allowing her to help. They went out of their way to make sure my dog got the best senior care, the vet Dr. Garcia was spot on with her diagnosis, called as soon as the results came in for her hypothyroidism and promptly gave me medication. They are extremely resonably priced. I HIGHLY reccomend this vet office.

My family has been coming here for 10 years. They are, without a doubt, the kindest most thoughtful group of people we have ever dealt with. They have seen my dogs through cancer and provided our dear boxer an additional 6 years after her cancer surgery. After she passed they sent us cards and made us several beautiful items to help us remember her. To our surprise they even hung a picture of her in the office. We will never go anywhere else.

I should have written this review a long time ago! I have been coming to Harwood for awhile now, I bring both of my babies, Cinco and Ocho. The waiting room is very small and most of the time they tell you to jut walk in for your pets needs so be prepared to wait. The clinic actually has two waiting rooms, one for dogs and one for cats which I thought was interesting but obviously merited. The staff is great! Super friendly and welcoming. Dr Harwood is very professional and knowledgeable, I have not had any complaints in all the times I've been here. I've never come when I was in a rush otherwise I would have been frustrated though. One visit I was here for over 2 hours because they had an emergency situation they had to deal with first. But once again, no compliants here. I felt like I needed to write this review to give credit where credit is due.

As a first time puppy owner, Harwood is setting the vet standard high. They have separate waiting rooms for dogs/cats, and is committed to your animal's health from the very beginning.
We had a couple different health issues early on, and Harwood has always (almost immediately) worked with me to make sure he's healthy and not drowning in antibiotics and have always called me to back to answered my additional questions (instead of insisting on an office visit). That being said, my pup still is EXCITED to come to vet- which says a lot about how great their staff is.
I wish there were some days to make appointments, because waiting on their "first come first served" basis gets long, but I would say it's still worth it. :)

I have taken my animals to several places within the Northeast and Harwood Veterinary Clinic is hands down, the best clinic to go to. First and foremost, they actually care about not only the animal, but the pet owner as well. They are more than happy to answer all of your questions or address any concerns you may have without rushing you in and out like a lot of clinics do. I find them to be very affordable and I like the fact that they have a separate waiting room for cats and dogs as my little felines will often get somewhat stressed out if there are dogs in the nearby vicinity. Going to the vet is hard enough! Finally, when it comes to end of life issues, they are beyond compassionate and will give you as much time as is needed to see your final goodbyes to your fur baby. I really cannot say enough good things about the facility, the doctors or the staff. Keep up the great work!

I took my dog to Harwoods about 3 years ago. We had noticed a lump on her tail. The vet I saw said it's probably a swollen lymphoid and not to worry. Sometimes they get full of fluid. She never suggested to biopsy it or check it for cancer. This week I've spent over 2,000 on surgery, xrays, ultra sounds and an ER visit to save my cancer ridden dog. We had our new vet remove that "swollen lymphoid" and it's actually a cancerous tumor.

They were unable to give me a name or phone number and I think if someone comes in with a found animal their name and phone number should be taken down to ensure that if the rightful owner calls looking for that dog they can pass the information on to help the owner get their pet back.

I cannot say enough good things about this clinic. We went during walk in hours for a broken tooth and were there for only an hour total. Dr Crider spent a good amount of time explaining all of our options to us, and brought in Dr Harwood to take a look as well. They told me that they don't do much dental work and referred us to a specialist for a possible extraction or root canal. They gave me 15-20 minutes one on one time and didn't charge me anything for the visit. I wish all vets were so kind and thorough.

I truly believe they are a blessing to not only those of us who have pets in this area, but also to the profession in general, as they show families what honest and sincere pet care is supposed to be! If you want to take your pet to be loved up on as closely as you love up on them to soothe through a doctor's visit, look no further! These animals are treasured lives not only to us pet owners, but to the staff as well! You will not find a better staffed or qualified facility!

Finally a real vet! My son and daughter-in-law found Dr Harwood and after years of going to different vets we finally have one who is a REAL doctor. She did a very thorough assessment, explained everything to us and was very down to earth in her treatment plans and expectations! As a nurse, I really apppreciate a good physical assessment! AND a bonus is there are separate entrances- a cat entrance and a dog entrance, for those of us who suffer from allergies! Our dogs have never been so well for so long..happy happy dogs! :D

Having been with Coronado Veterinary Clinic for the past 8 yrs, I was hard pressed to leave them; however, as I no longer lived on or near the west side & having a new puppy that was going to need some more frequent initial visits, I decided to defer to my sisters advice & try Dr. Harwood. It's been almost a year now and I'll never look back! I have a 65 lb chow/pit mix & now a 6 mos old chihuahua/shih tzu mix that her AND her staff have been absolutely wonderful with. Even with my big ones sometimes surly demeanor & the lil ones tendency to yap. They never once even mentioned a muzzle...they instead allowed me access to be part of the examination. We live on Fort Bliss, but when our dog had an emergency and the on-post vet service was closed, we called local veterinarians. Dr. Harwood saw us within two hours of my phone call, and even though we had never been there, took the time to explain the procedure even though there were other patients waiting. The surgery was done within three hours of us arriving. The desk staff were very helpful, and her techs were great with our 70 pound dog, comforting her and treating her very gently despite her somewhat intimidating appearance. Dr. Harwood was kind, to the point, and explained everything thoroughly. When we recieved the bill, it was itemized and, in my opinion, very reasonable, especially considering the situation. We are considering making Dr. Harwood our permanent vet during the rest of our assignment to El Paso, despite the availability of an at-cost vet service on post.
