When it comes to our beloved fur babies' health, we want nothing but the best. A search for a veterinary clinic resulted in Foothills Veterinary Clinic. I called the evening before and was able to make an appointment for the next morning. Super convenient!!Everybody was incredibly nice, from the girl at the front desk to Dr. Vega and the girl helping the doctor. My sweet puppy even got some treats for good behavior. I waited in the patient room a little longer than I would have liked, but I was extremely pleased with the service I received. The vet tech made sure to explain the shots my puppy received, and suggested when I should get his future shots. She also explained any adverse reactions he might have and what to look out for. I was beyond impressed with the care given to my puppy and will for sure take him back again to see Dr. Vega and her staff. Read Less

Where do I start? The staff here is amazing. Sarah and Lupita go out of their way to help us crazy dog people. Both Dr. Vega and Dr. Wilson are fantastic. When you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and a welcome to you and your fur baby. The place is clean and doesn't smell like funkiness which is a plus. I think the scentsy wax warmer in the corner by the receptionist does the trick. Anyways, the Drs aren't rushing you through to get to the next dollar sign. They ask questions, listen to concerns and spend plenty of time with each patient. Speaking of dollar signs, I find this place to be very reasonable! I'm a fairly new pet owner but I was surprised to find that the shots, meds and etc. were so reasonably priced. Read Less

They were pretty busy that day but they made arrangements for him to be seen considering his symptoms. The staff at the front desk were kind and we were greeted warmly. One of the best vets I'be ever been to. They always take care of my dogs and the prices are more than reasonable. Just had to get a 4 lb tumor removed from my dog. It was going to cost between $1500-2000 back in LA, here it was a little over $800. They did a wonderful job with the surgery and took great care if my dog. I had a horrible experience here with my dog. The Dr. misdiagnosed my dog and over prescribed her, which in turn gave her kidney failure and then on top of that, he said she had a growth over her heart. He pretty much gave her a death sentence. He offered no advice for diet or liquids to get her to drink. This clinic almost killed my dog. Thankfully, I did take my dog for a second opinion where I learned that she was misdiagnosed and certain medication was NOT necessary. And if that wasn't bad enough, she also did not have a growth or tumor over her heart. The second vet began treating her kidney failure with LOTS OF LIQUIDS, liquid diet, and electrolytes. The second vet also gave her vitamins and sub-q fluids. The second opinion vet is an angel! My dog is recovering! God Bless good Vets and God help the bad ones. I will NEVER be returning to Foothills Animal Clinic. Lots of money spent here and they almost killed my dog. Read Less

I had gotten two labs, and was taking them to another vet clinic in EP since they were babies. They kept on getting sick (passing it back and forth) and the vet refused to give me meds for both dogs, so I had to keep going back. Finally, one of them got REALLY sick and would not stop throwing up. That other clinic took an x-ray and told me that since they can't see anything on the $400 x-ray they just took that they were going to operate on my dog. I chose not to let them, and took her to Foothills. Dr. Wilson told me to stop feeding her for a 24 hours and to discontinue all the meds that the other vet gave her. He said she was just messed up on the inside from all the antibiotics that she had been taking in the last 2 weeks. In two days she was back to normal and no need for surgery. I have 4 dogs, and am currently watching 2 of my parents dogs. I only take them to this vet. They don't charge extra for same day appointments and they are always available. One of mine had an allergic reaction to something and I called Foothills. They were closing in 5 minutes, and they all stayed there, until we got there, and they did not go home until she was back to her old self. Dr. Wilson even offered to take her home with him so that he can keep an eye on my baby if I didn't feel comfortable taking her home with me. Hands down, the best vet I've been to. Thank you guys! PET OWNERS BEWARE! Should pet owners be required to spend money on getting there pets chipped? On Nov. 21st, 2007, my daughters pet poodle, Bella, got out of the yard and was picked up and taken to the Foothills Animal Cinic. My daughter called the Home Again Rescue and was told that Bella had been scanned at the clnic. I then called the clinic to see if they still had Bella. Susie, the receptionist, said that the women who brought Bella in, wanted to keep her with her until the owners address was found, but that she was going to be leaving town for Thanskgiving and she would keep Bella in her garage. Now, instead of Susie telling the women that she needed to turn Bella in to animal regulation, where they would be able to find the address of the owners, because Bella is registered with the AKA and Home Again, Susie just let the women take her. I became very worried because Bella has seizures and she was alone in a strangers garage, so I asked Susie if I could please have the number to the women who has her. Susie said that she was unable to release that information to me, but that she would contact her and then get back to me. For the past week we have been getting the run around with the clinic and know Susie is saying that she has lost the contact information for the women. The cops were called and they were very compasionate, but yet we still do not have our Bella back. My daughter is turning fifteen tomorrow, and instead of her being excited about her party, she is greiving over her baby not being returned due to improper procedures. All my daughter wants for her birthday is to have her Bella back. Why are we required to spend the money to have our pets chipped if it does not help us locate our beloved babies. Read Less
