PET OWNERS BEWARE! Should pet owners be required to spend money on getting there pets chipped? On Nov. 21st, 2007, my daughters pet poodle, Bella, got out of the yard and was picked up and taken to the Foothills Animal Cinic. My daughter called the Home Again Rescue and was told that Bella had been scanned at the clnic. I then called the clinic to see if they still had Bella. Susie, the receptionist, said that the women who brought Bella in, wanted to keep her with her until the owners address was found, but that she was going to be leaving town for Thanskgiving and she would keep Bella in her garage. Now, instead of Susie telling the women that she needed to turn Bella in to animal regulation, where they would be able to find the address of the owners, because Bella is registered with the AKA and Home Again, Susie just let the women take her. I became very worried because Bella has seizures and she was alone in a strangers garage, so I asked Susie if I could please have the number to the women who has her. Susie said that she was unable to release that information to me, but that she would contact her and then get back to me. For the past week we have been getting the run around with the clinic and know Susie is saying that she has lost the contact information for the women. The cops were called and they were very compasionate, but yet we still do not have our Bella back. My daughter is turning fifteen tomorrow, and instead of her being excited about her party, she is greiving over her baby not being returned due to improper procedures. All my daughter wants for her birthday is to have her Bella back. Why are we required to spend the money to have our pets chipped if it does not help us locate our beloved babies. Read Less
