This was my first time at the clinic. I wish my visit would have been under different circumstances but unfortunately I had to put down my beloved weimaraner. I scheduled an appointment the day before for the next morning. As you can imagine it was a very tough day but the clinic handled everything very well. As soon as we got there we were seen right away. Taken to a room and given time to say our goodbyes. The tech and doctor came in with everything prepared. My dog and I were given such great care. She was not scared at all.
I don't think my visit could have gone any better. The last thing I would've wanted to do was be waiting around at different stages of my visit. I highly recommend Zarges Animal Clinic. I think I found my new vet.

My appt was easily kept. The asst showed care in listening to my puppys' problem while also using his knowledge to asses other concerns the Dr would need to be aware of. The Dr was was clear in letting me know my puppys problem and future care while making sure i knew proper care for my dogs present wellbeing. Left with bag of pamphlets n other very necessary products to keep my puppy in the best health possible. Very satisfied in all areas

I want to give this place 5 stars but I was disappointed in our most recent visit. Ricardo is awesome and has always been extremely helpful and responsive. My issue is when we took our two puppies to be neutered. One was sick so only the second one actually had the procedure. He also had an imbelical hernia and was suppose to have that fixed as well. We received a call later in the day that they "forgot" to fix the hernia. Obviously we were upset when we got there because our puppy would now have to go under for a second time. When we spoke to the vet she said we were making a big deal out of nothing. She said she didn't know the procedure needed to be done which didn't make sense because if that were true they wouldn't of called us and told us they had forgot to repair it. To be fair she did offer to pay for the anesthesia for the second procedure but there was zero empathy for the fact her staff screwed up and our dog now had to be put under for a second, unnecessary procedure which should have been repaired the first time. I was disappointed with the lack or professionalism and will be looking for a new vet.

Most of you know that I don't love my dogs, I adore them. They are my children. My female Coco became chronically ill several years ago. No one could diagnose what was wrong with her. Visited MANY vets in the area. Always looking for that special vet who really cared. Someone who loved animals not just treated them. I FOUND HER!!! Dr. Zarges (Zarges Animal Clinic), 5820 Doniphan. Amazing staff (they offer you gourmet coffee or bottle water when you walk in). The staff knew everyone's name as their customers walked in. Credit goes to the office manager Richard. They would come out into the lobby to make sure your doing OK (while you waited). When they call you in, you are greeted by a kind, knowledgeable and humble Dr. Zarges. She figured out what was causing Coco's pain within minutes! Then offered laser therapy. I'm a cynical guy (comes from all the years of being gauged). Wasn't sure it would work but agreed to the therapy anyway. Coco and I just got home and she is walking better than she has in years! All this and the price charged was much lower than expected. Coco gives Dr. Zarges two super paws up! Great job Zarges Animal Clinic!!!

So that I did not like. Also the prices my goodness just for yearly vaccination was pretty costly. But other then that it's a great place.

I love this clinic! Finally I have found a place where I can take my dogs where the people truly care about their welfare and aren't trying to sale me an item or procedure. My dogs aren't viewed as a meal ticket, but as cared for patients and that is amazingly refreshing.

We were told about the clinic when we moved here. Had to take two cats for a rare worm they got from a mosquito. They saw the two and we came home two additional kittens that someone threw away. 6 years later we have came home with four more unwanted kittens but they are all healthy and loved. When we had to say "goodbye" to 2 kitties who had cancer they did it such a caring manner. Love this clinic.

I recently had a pet emergency and called them 45 min before closing time on a saturday. They told me to come on in. By the time I got there it was 15 min until closing. There were a couple of people ahead of me. I thought they might tell me I'd need to come back, but they still took me in. They ended up staying almost 2 hours after closing to get the dog taken care of. They made it clear that they truly do care about animals and go above and beyond, to give the animal the best care possible. The entire staff never made me feel like I was imposing on them by keeping them late. They were professionsl, very caring, great with handling a scared dog and provided top notch vet csre, while explaining in layman's terms what the various options were for treatment.
I can't recommend them highly enough! If you need a vet, please go there first. It was a truly wonderful experience. You won't be sorry you chose them.

We had a 11 year old border Collie that was very lame and needed to be euthanized. This was a very difficult decision to make. Just the thought of taking her to the vet office grieved us terribly. So I called up Dr Zarges clinic and inquired about home euthanasia. They did offer the service. Our beloved Collie was able to be in our courtyard, her most favorite place to be with the family present. The staff was very professional, and Dr Zarges was very compassionate. We have since changed our our vetinary services to her clinic.

They would not explain why the increase, but when I check prices around the west side of town, the other vet clinics range from 150-212 for the operation, pain medicine, collar, anesthesia and take home medicine. I paid an extra 150.00 at this vet, what a rip-off

Do not take your dog here, they charge double the price on everything, my dog being spayed was 350.00, over 100 plus dollars for the quote! They could not explain the increase, but lack of people in the clinic says everything. Every clinic I check with had prices from 150.00 to 212.00 for everything, pain medicine, collar, anesthesia, take home medicine. I should have known because they charge over 100.00 for the initial visit to check the dog.

Love, love, love this clinic. Mattie got Distemper as a puppy-I'm certain any other vet would've recommended putting her down, but not Dr. Sue. She took Baby Mattie in everyday and treated her, and let us bring her home every night to give her as much love as we could. Mattie is now 10 1/2 years old. This was my first time at the clinic. I wish my visit would have been under different circumstances but unfortunately I had to put down my beloved weimaraner. I scheduled an appointment the day before for the next morning. As you can imagine it was a very tough day but the clinic handled everything very well. As soon as we got there we were seen right away. Taken to a room and given time to say our goodbyes. The tech and doctor came in with everything prepared. My dog and I were given such great care. She was not scared at all.
I don't think my visit could have gone any better. The last thing I would've wanted to do was be waiting around at different stages of my visit. I highly recommend Zarges Animal Clinic. I think I found my new vet.

I loved the place very well kept nice and clean and they handled her wonderfully the Only thing is they tried to get me to do blood work for her when I wasn't needed and after I said no they offered again so I felt a little pushed. So that I did not like. Also the prices my goodness just for yearly vaccination was pretty costly. But other then that it's a great place.

We were told about the clinic when we moved here. Had to take two cats for a rare worm they got from a mosquito. I recently had a pet emergency and called them 45 min before closing time on a saturday. They told me to come on in. By the time I got there it was 15 min until closing. There were a couple of people ahead of me. I thought they might tell me I'd need to come back, but they still took me in. They ended up staying almost 2 hours after closing to get the dog taken care of. They made it clear that they truly do care about animals and go above and beyond, to give the animal the best care possible. The entire staff never made me feel like I was imposing on them by keeping them late. They were professionsl, very caring, great with handling a scared dog and provided top notch vet csre, while explaining in layman's terms what the various options were for treatment.
I can't recommend them highly enough! If you need a vet, please go there first. It was a truly wonderful experience. You won't be sorry you chose them.

We had a 11 year old border Collie that was very lame and needed to be euthanized. This was a very difficult decision to make. Just the thought of taking her to the vet office grieved us terribly. So I called up Dr Zarges clinic and inquired about home euthanasia. They did offer the service. Our beloved Collie was able to be in our courtyard, her most favorite place to be with the family present. The staff was very professional, and Dr Zarges was very compassionate. We have since changed our our vetinary services to her clinic.

Well I arrived the bill was 350.00, and nothing out of normal basic spay items. They would not explain why the increase, but when I check prices around the west side of town, the other vet clinics range from 150-212 for the operation, pain medicine, collar, anesthesia and take home medicine. I paid an extra 150.00 at this vet, what a rip-off

Do not take your dog here, they charge double the price on everything, my dog being spayed was 350.00, over 100 plus dollars for the quote! They could not explain the increase, but lack of people in the clinic says everything. Every clinic I check with had prices from 150.00 to 212.00 for everything, pain medicine, collar, anesthesia, take home medicine. I should have known because they charge over 100.00 for the initial visit to check the dog.

She took Baby Mattie in everyday and treated her, and let us bring her home every night to give her as much love as we could. Mattie is now 10 1/2 years old.
