Greatest Vet services ever! We needed our elderly family dog to pass on, but he just kept holding on for us. Our vet was booked for weeks. The people here took him in immediately and were so comforting! They even sent us a Christmas card signed by all the staff. Great place to take your pet for all of its needs! I have been using this vet clinic for nearly 10 years. I find two of the four vets to be very compassionate and very reasonable in their recommendations for the care of your cats. They are available on Saturdays, which is a bonus to people who work Monday through Friday. While the facility might not be as updated as I would like, and perhaps some fresher, more up to date diagnosis might be nice, Dr Wilson and Dr. Chancellor go above and beyond. I am a rescue, so they offer me realistic alternatives for my rescue cats when there are medical emergencies that are beyond our financial capabilities period with my own personal cats, they are always extremely compassionate and yet realistic. There have been many times when I have had to tell Dr. Wilson that he would have to be the one to tell me when it was time for one of my cats to go, and I can always trust him to tell me when that needs to be done. The staff, for the most part is very accommodating. There are times when it is really busy and you may have to wait well beyond what you would prefer to wait, but a lot of that is just managing your time wisely. Read Less

I don't even know where to begin.I am a new "pet owner" of a kitten I took in. We noticed a couple weeks after having her, my 2 children and myself were completely covered in ringworm. EVERYWHERE! I called Ennis vet to schedule a apt. the next day at 2pm To have her checked out. I arrived 15 minutes early of her appointment with my two year old son. Again I'm a new pet owner, so I've never been to a vet before. I brought the cat inside the building and saw other animals in carriers. So I apologized to the lady up front and asked to borrow one of there's. She responded with," not a problem, but we typically ask that, if you have a cat/kitten to bring them in a carrier due to other dogs being out." I put her in the carrier they allowed me to borrow, and my son and I went to sit down and wait. After 30 minutes of waiting, I asked the couple sitting next to us, how long does a person with a apt usually spend here. She said,"not long, once you get in a room it's usually about 15 minutes." Ok cool so my son and I we sit and wait and wait and wait and wait. By this time now it's been a hour and a half since we have not been seen. You can imagine a two year old, hungry, tired, grumpy, ready to leave at this point. So he wasn't making the situation better. At this point I am in tears, because I haven't been seen yet, my son isn't happy, and now I am having to find my daughter a ride home from school because I'm still waiting on the vet. I would have already left , but I we had ringworm all of us and just wanted to get her some medicine to help clear her up. (If a local pet store sold ringworm medicine I would have never made a apt to see this place. )A man walks in arriving at his apt time for his puppy. He sees that in upset and asked how long I have been here. I told him " a hour and a half." He said "oh wow, did you have a apt?" I said "yes at 2pm and I arrived 15 minutes early."After him being there 5 minutes of his apt. they called him and his puppy back. Now I get even more emotional, and pissed off. Another 45 minutes goes by and finally a lady from the front called me back, she seemed like she was in a rush because she saw me upset. She asked me once I got in the room if I was allergic? "Well no I'm having a breakdown because I have been sitting here for 2 hrs, with a apt. And a two year old." She said "I am so sorry." The vet comes in, Gary is his name and says to me "ringworm? Why do you think she has ringworm?" I responded with taking off just one of my bandaids on my arm. He said " well ya, that should give you a reason to believe she has ringworm, and other pets? " I said "no just her". His attitude was terrible. He ran a black light over her and you could clearly see the ringworm on her ears. He turned the lights back on and said "well she defiantly has ringworm, I don't know what to tell you besides go to the doctor. I'll get her some medicine. I'm sure you learned your lesson by now right?" Not knowing what he meant by that, I responded and said "don't you think I went to the doctor first before I came here?"He leaves the room to get her medicine filled and shampoo and explains what i need to do and how to give the medicine, blah blah blah. While filling the medicine, he left the door wide open and asked his staff in the back " anyone want ringworm?" A lady in the distance responded to him with " are you talking about the girl that just walked in here with her cat not in a carrier, like hey here's ringworm for y'all!" RUDE !! I kept my cool and checked out at the front. Gave the carrier back to the place. While checking out the woman ringing up my items said, "we need to see her back in 3 weeks, do you want to make a apt. now or call us back?"I said "I'll call you back." She responded back and said " well it's a lot easier to just make a apt. But I'll leave that up to you." Really how much easier is it to make a apt. Cause I had a apt at 2pm and arrived 15 minutes early. It's 3:45 and I'm just now called back. I left there at 4. A simple 5 min apt. And they were seeing other customers that arrived later than me, before me. I wouldn't even give this place one star. Not to mention I'm a paying customer and paid over a hundred bucks, but not to be treated like shit !! I will never ever go back to such a awful place !! Read Less

I have been a customer of this clinic for 28 years, I have had many animals through the years and I have never seen so many people with such GREAT passion.I just had my 14 year old Lab (CHET) die and they were so compassionate I called the Dr. after hours and he was so sympathetic. When we recently had to send her over the rainbow bridge, they were so kind and compassionate with the painful and most dreaded process. I have been a customer here for awhile now. They charge me $ 59.00 for my dogs heart worm meds. I noticed that our local HEB pharmacy is now carrying them for $ 23.00. I went and asked for my dogs prescription and they refused to give it to me. They stated that they were not required to and selling meds helps keep their cost down. I have been here several times and there is nothing cheap about them. Since I paid for the testing and the office visit i should have the right to have my pets meds filled anywhere i want. I noticed that HEB pharmacy is selling them for $ 23.00 but when I went to ask for my dogs prescription they refused to give it to me stating that they were not required to and selling meds is how they keep the doors open. My cat ChiChi who was 17 years old slowly got to where she couldn't walk except to go to the litter box and for food then one day she was on her carpet and couldn't get up. She was meowing and seemed to be in distress. I called the clinic and they told me they couldn't see her unless I had an apointment or I could come in a wait and maybe or maybe not be seen while ChiChi sat there a suffered. They could make an appointment the next day. Needless to say I drove her to another clinic and they saw her right that moment. They said she had had a stroke and she ended up being euthanized. I've always patronized Ennis Veterinary Clinic over the years but never ever will I use them again. Just be careful that you know how this clinic operates (by appointment only) and have other alternatives worked out for the emergencies. Read Less
