My dog had surgery here for Pyometra. 10 year old Chihuahua, was on Clavamox antibiotics from her vet on the 18th of Dec. We worked out she would have the surgery there and we would pay more because we felt good knowing she would be monitored closely. :( WRONG. They used the existing antibiotics that we had from our vet, which in turn only last until Dec 28 night morning dose, should have had her on antibiotics for at least 7-10 days according to the owner. LOL. No matter what she did not have enough, which may caused her to still have toxins/infection remaining and not cleared of her system. Also, according to medical records I obtained, there seems to be some wrongfulissues of the monitoring of her after surgery. Temp reading after being in the bair hugger (turned off at 12:40 pm with temp recorded at 99.6. ) She went from her temp taken at 4 am temp reading of 99.3, Yet recorded in the notes they took her outside, no eliminations, offered food and water, but no interest. then no record of any other temperature readings again, and was released to me at approx 9 am. Also, they were informed "Cricket" had a heart murmur and was on Medication,But I had stopped her medication a couple weeks ago, do to her not feeling well. There pre op, Cardiovascular: WNL, Tachycardia. So this was ignored. More then anything, Yes, they got her temp back up to 99, but they do not know what temp her body was use to maintaining, because they never checked to see if it dropped after they got it back up. As well as the fact they should have given us the Antibiotics, enough to cover for the time allotted after such a surgery. Why such a gap, and why not monitor her better to be sure before Assuming. It is noted after 7 am she ate a little in the notes, but we have no idea how much, or anything. I understand complications can occur, but it is so important when we trust our babies inthe care of the provider, they follow through with what is right to ensure a good prognosis. My precious baby died in our arms on the way to the vets on Monday, January 4, 2016. approx 10-11 days after surgery. I am sorry is not good enough. I have enough going on in my own life to follow up to see to it they handle things properly, I trusted them, and they did not do as they should have! NEVER, will I go to them. I will climb through hoops to go with anyone else, hopefully one I find that I can trust. Read Less
