I have been with Dr Glover/Animal crossing since 1995, he has seen all my dogs (6) from birth until their passing. I have found him nothing but professional and sincere in all his advise and treatments. I feel his prices are good compared to what my friends tell me they are paying. My husband and I work with several Rescue groups in 3 states, fostering dogs and puppies in preparation for transport, my husband and I have several dogs of our own, I am SAR Tech II, and FEMA certified (as is my husband), I have a K-9 Search And Rescue trained dog, I have been a zoo keeper, and I grew up on a farm. We bathed him an hour before his appointment to remove the cast... because he needed it badly. And on top of that... we were made to wait 3 HOURS to change a simple cast. While we watched patients going before us and leaving for minor things. I guess because we were being patient we were pushed aside. One of the receptionist is a very very nice lady. No complaints with her. I was told on my prior appointment the cast change would be FREE...only to be charged as I was ready to walk out the door. I'll do it myself here on out. 3 hours while seeing others pass us by and being the last ones was pretty excessive. We paid like everyone else, yet got pushed to the very end until after closing ??? Panicked on a Saturday morning, and needed to get my older dog, Pistol , in to see a vet . I felt like it was something serious. Animal Crossing saw me as a walk-in ( thankfully they were open until 12 noon). After examining , Dr. Glover confirmed my suspicions and was able to keep , treat, and take care of our problem. Picked him up on Monday and he was back to his little , happy , self. And needless to say, I am forever grateful to Dr. Glover and his staff. I've been taking my Baby Girl to Animal Crossing Vet. since she was just a pup. She is now 4 years old. They have always been very attentive and informative when it came down to what my dog needed. As well as any procedures they were going to preform on her. My dog is always very excited to see her Vet. Very friendly staff. Was not overly excited during the transition from old to new building. Have not seen many of the younger staff that was there before. But like anything else there are always some sort of growing pains. But wouldn't take my girl any other place. Read Less

Can't really get much better, everybody knows Katie, treats her like their own dog, that's what owners like, I showed up without an appointment and they were still able to work me in very efficiently, great staff.... Update Visit... As always everyone makes Katie the dogs feel at home. Even though she spent the day in a kennel being diagnosed throughout the day, I knew I need not worry about her care. Never had a dog leave the Vet happy and relaxed, my dog has never been relaxed and happy and wagging her tail when leaving after a visit. It was a great experience for my dog which makes it one for me. Very kind and gentle staff, Dr.Glover is fantastic. So disappointed in the greed. We took our rescue that adopted us a little over a year ago to be euthanized. Poor fellow was in terrible shape when he found us. He was obviously suffering and needed relief, but rather than do what we ask, they do an xray and an exam that resulted in what we already knew. The $50 euthanasia ends up costing $180. In the past I have been impressed with this veterinary office but have recently had very poor service from the reception staff, being extremely rude. Since relocating to the new building the communication has been poor and the prices have gone up exponentially. I drive from San Antonio and take both of my dogs to this office; the last time I took my dogs in, the staff stated there were "no vaccinations necessary at this time." It would have been nice to know this at the time of scheduling before I drove all the way from San Antonio, that was after receiving a card in the mail saying there were vaccinations due. I will no longer be going to this vet, the service is not worth the drive anymore. Read Less

We are so impressed with this animal hospital!! We are new to the area and our Beagle was attacked by another dog. My husband thought we lost him. He rushed him to the vet and called when he was on the way, they were waiting and was ready for him and started treating him immediately. They saved his life and we our so grateful. We love our dogs. We LOVE Animal Crossing's entire staff. Dr Allison and Michelle just saved our Dog Abby Rose's life. She had major surgery for stones and one was stuck, so it was very hard. We are grateful beyond measure. They are the best! They have cared for us and our concerns for our beloved fur baby in a manner that exceeds all expectation. Love this vet and their prices! The Dr.'s take such good care of each pet as if it were their own. We had a minor emergency over a weekend once and had the Dr. return our call within 10 minutes and he talked us through our nerves and a temporary treatment until w could get in to the office the following Monday. We disappointed with them ! Been a customer for a couple of years. Called yesterday to try and get a sick/ coughing dog in. The rude girl said they were booked and it would be Friday before they could see her. I explained she was acting sick and had a cough. She said a cough is not an emergency! I ended up taking the dog to Deason's. The dog had a high fever and pneumonia ! Thank goodness I didn't wait, she could have been dead. I wonder when the receptionist went to Vet school. !!! I've tried every veterinarian clinic in the Floresville area and Dr. Glover and his staff go above and beyond. This is the only clinc that will take the time to call and check on your beloved pet after surgery and also mail out sympathy cards if one of your pets have passed. I had mentioned that I found one of my cats dead and I got a sympathy card, how thoughtful. And I have plenty of happy animals to prove it. 6 dogs, 3 cats, 2 pot bellys, one horse and one donkey. Wow, that's an incredibly negative review that I find difficult to accept as all true. While something most certainly happened to result in such a scathing review, this experience sounds more like a result of poor communication, and since productive communication requires at least two people, I have learned through dissatisfaction to ask specific questions so I know exactly what to expect before service is rendered. I'm not perfect at this, but am reminded of my part, my responsibility in good communication each time I find myself less than satisfied.My own experience, as well as three other families that live in my community, have experienced nothing but warm, welcoming, professional, informative, and above all, compassionate service from the entire staff at Animal Crossing. What a pleasant experience. As a knowledgeable dog owner. I came prepared with my records. The staff was terrific ! They are knowledgeable and polite. They do not overcharge for their services. Reminds me of the old country vets, that use common sense to treat your pets . That is a rare find in today's market where it is common to make separate charges for every test (most not even needed) . You won't pay a fortune to bring your pets here. They DO NOT test for parasites.5. They DO NOT give Bordatella vaccines.6. The "exam" was free because it was non-existent.I was looking for a vet, but only found a low rent drug dealer. I had to take my animals to another vet for a quality exam and to receive their missing tests and vaccinations. Thank goodness I did because they had parasites and needed a dewormer.
